I rented two U-boxes here and I can say that I would NOT do this again. The kids who worked at the office were OK, but what I was really upset about was the way I was mis-informed about the costs by the phone customer service. First thing that happened is that the truck which I was originally supposed to get to haul both boxes was unavailable, so I had to make two trips, incurring double tolls which are expensive for trucks with trailers. Then I was told that the trailer for the box was 5.00 per month. I just checked my credit card statement today and I was charged an additional 220 dollars for the trailers, making my charges total over 700.00!!! PLUS I had to hire a tow truck to tow both trailers back to the yard. At this rate, I could have hired white glove movers to move all of my stuff. If you just want to rent a truck, it’s probably Okay. I wish I had decided to do the PODS which would have cost me around 700 total but probably would have been much less aggravation for me.

I Like this place. The Guys here are great. However had a bad CS experience with Uhaul over the phone. Carol Campbell their CSR needs to be retrained or fired. She was worthless and talks over you with her stank attitude in her kukaw accent. They messed up my confirmed reservation, at a different location and try to get around their«$ 50 guarantee» through wordplay and semantics. Bunch of lying deceitful promises. Of course I couldn’t speak to the supervisor, «Sheila Roberts», she conveniently«left for the day». If that’s even her name and exists. Location and guys get 5 stars, CSR’s and corporate offices get ZERO!

I am usually very patient but I what I do not have patience for is mediocre customer service. After waiting almost 10 minutes for an attendant at the front desk I took a peek to a side door leading to a shop space where an employee was working on the tail lights of a personal vehicle. While I do understand the other employee was actually working and busy with another customer, after asking for help this guy states in a ‘I could care less’ tone… «The girl outside coming in now, she goin’ help you, wait for her»…well thanks in advance for your attentiveness and concern, I would’ve tipped you when you hooked the tow dolly on my truck but I’ll pass and tip the soft serve ice cream guy instead.

When we called this location to schedule an unloading time for our U-Box storage unit, they no idea whether our U-Box had arrived. Michael, the manager, said he would look into it and promised to call us back. Never received a single phone call from him. These people never answer the phone unless you call at the crack of dawn. My husband had to drive all the way from NYC to NJ just to speak with someone and get some answers. We, unfortunately, learned that our U-Box had never left CA. To make matters worse, instead of helping us contact the central call center and working with us to resolve the problem, they left us to figure it all out on our own.

HORRIBLE!!! Mustafa delivered a faulty box and gave me a contact number for Karnia at this location to ship my box to my new apartment as she was responsible for storing the Uboxes. She never answered! It took days of calling and almost 50 hours on the phone in order to get them to ship my box and the money I lost in having to guess with when I would hear from someone on my Ubox being shipped. The box finally arrived OPENED and only seran wrapped shut with only my little pad lock holding the door closed. I had three items damaged and their claims department doesn’t even respond to calls or emails! The stress exacerbated a medical condition and all in all, after even being charged the wrong amount, I lost over $ 1000 worth of work, medical expenses, and damages from this company and they don’t call back. DONOTUSE!
