Visiting the relatives in IN we came here for dinner. We were immediately seated and waited on. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, however, if you looked closely you can tell that the place could use a bit of upkeep. Food was ok and I left full and happy.

First time trying this Mexican restaurant. I had heard both good and not so good things about this restaurant, so I thought I’d try it out. The best part was my wife and I getting 2 meals w/drinks for under $ 15. That’s is extremely hard to do in evansville! The food itself was average if not a slightly below average tasting. I has the polo playa «chicken on the beach». The chicken was decent but I was not a huge fan of their Mexican rice. It had peas, carrots, and corn in it. Not a great combination for me. The food in general was kinda just blan. My wife and I both agreed that there was very little seasoning in it. We had two different waters serving us. One of them extremely nice and helpful. While the younger guy was not that friendly and seemed not to care if we were there or not. Over all the reason I give this restaurant a 2 star is because there was nothing outstanding about this place. I wouldn’t rule out going again it just wouldn’t be anytime soon.

Let’s keep this simple. Very good standard Mexican food. Chips and salsa were great. By the way, ask for the salsa verde or green salsa. It is flat out amazing. The hot salsa also available upon request is delicious too. I got the pollo playa, also known as chicken on the beach. Rice, grilled chicken, white queso. Done. Add some salsa verde, mix, roll up into a tortilla and eat. Repeat. Dinner portion was huge. Chimichanga was large and in charge. Kids chicken tenders were standard fare. I love that you can get French fries at a Mexican restaurant. Good food, good service, salsa verde. Do it.
