I saw this doctor a few years ago as a new patient. I had been in some pain and discomfort and told her what I thought it could be. She basically opposed everything I was saying & was VERY rude to me. I literally had to beg for certain tests and she was very unprofessional in her tone, demeanor, and with making certain remarks. I left the office very upset and it turned out that I was correct!!! (Seriously though, who knows your own body best… why can’t some doctors actually admit this?) The worst part was, she didn’t even have someone call to let me know my results, I had to track them down. Needless to say, I found a new doc! The reason I am writing this review is because I just went through my records and it brought back the horrible experience I had with her.

just plain horrible.
she doesnt know how to perform simple, basic tests correctly therefore i have the same ongoing issues. i went to another doctor and she was able to help me because she performed the same tests — only correctly.
she doesnt have a good plan of care, its more like «i dont know, lets see if this works» strategy which is not good esp because antibiotics should not be prescribed so lightly.
i also had another issue that she totally disregarded. dr karpfen didnt even run the proper test so i had an untreated bladder infection for weeks. she just assumed based on her own logic that it was a contact irritant instead of an actual infection. i was persistent and convinced it was a uti but she disagreed. shame on her. i ended up going to the other gyno and she diagnosed me correctly and gave me the treatment i could have had earlier.
her overall approach to my problem was useless and a complete waste of time and money. i will not be returning to her and dont recommend her to anyone.
if you actually have a problem and need to be fixed, go elsewhere.
