I’ve been training with Jack and Steve for over 10 years. Before there was hockey alley we used to shoot pucks in his garage. In a very short period of time I learned how to take a slap shot. Before practicing I couldn’t get the puck off the ice if my life depended on it. Jack and Steve showed me the correct way and after shooting thousands of pucks I developed a great shot. During a session you will shoot hundreds of pucks. It is almost a non stop shooting frenzy. You will definitely learn how to shoot the correct way in a couple of sessions. Along with shooting you will also develop a great set of hands from playing in such tight quarters. On Tuesdays there are 2 on 2 games and this is where you really can improve your game. When I play the 2 on 2 games for a month then go out onto the big sheet of ice the puck feels like a magnet stuck to my stick. It is definitely the best place to develop your game. Along with all the great knowledge that Jack and Steve have to offer, they are also the nicest family I have ever met. They are very kind and treat everyone with the utmost respect. They will also help you with your career. When I was 17 Jack sent me to a tryout for a Junior team and turned my whole life around. After Juniors I ended up playing for a NCAA Div 3 on the East Coast where I got a great education and played great hockey. He honestly cares about his students and likes to see them succeed. I think you will love Hockey Alley when you see how much of a difference it will make in your game.
Luv T.

Hockey Instruction just doesn’t get any better. Got my husband some lessons for Christmas. After his first lesson with Jack, he said that he learned more in that one hour than in any other«clinic» he’s ever taken anywhere!!! Steve(the dad) also helped my husband with some tips during his first lesson. I noticed a dramatic improvement in his game after the 1st lesson. A family owned and operated place in an industrial park near Amgen in Newbury Park. Everyone is super friendly and seem very commited to helping you achieve your goals… whatever they may be. Rosemary is «the mom» and very friendly. She sets the appointments(and gives you a cup of tea while you wait for the lesson to finish.) :-) They also do skate sharpening the«old-fashioned» way and it really makes a HUGE difference. We’ve taken our skates to the regular ice rinks as well as Hockey Giant and nobody sharpens them as professionally as they do here.(You have to leave them overnight). I’ve brought my whole teams skates here to get them done. I would say this is a place for all levels. My husband is a beg-int player, but we have friends that are advanced that also rave about the place. A hidden gem, but a definite must for anybody who wants to be a better hockey player. We drive from Pasadena b/c its worth it.
