Precision Auto Craft

We have had three cars repaired here over the years. Their shop seems to be very clean and tidy; front desk people are knowledgable and customer service focused Estimators are very courteous. The work on our cars was top notch. Overall, the staff are professional, reliable (they did what we expected and a little bit more) and I always felt like we would use them again. Just this morning, someone ran into my husband’s car and yup, we will be calling Precision Auto Craft Monday morning.

I would not recommend this place. I had minor damage to my door. The initial quote I received from them seemed really high, so I decided to go somewhere else. I don’t know anything about cars, but even I knew they were trying to rip me off. The quote I received from this place was LITERALLY three times the cost! To add insult to injury, the lady answering the phone treated me as though she was somehow doing me a favor. Even without the ridiculous quote, her attitude would have deterred me from giving this place my business.

When my wive drove into the open driver’s door of my Honda CRX, which I’ve had for 14 years, pushing the door forward so that the front crumpled and it would not close, I was afraid it would be too expensive to fix and I’d have to sell it.
I asked if they could just make it functional without making it pretty. I was very relieved when the tech said he could probably just bend the hinges back.
That’s what he did, so all it cost me was 3 hours’ labor and no parts, total $ 157. They called just a few hours after I brought it in and said it was ready.
When I went to pick it up, I was surprised and very pleased to find that they’d also mostly uncrumpled it. You could still see the bends but they were much less obvious. So the car looks much better than I had expected.
The door works perfectly; no wobble or anything. I’m very happy with the repair, the cost, and how it looks and works.

Will NEVER EVER go back here again. I was victim of a hit and run (managed to get a license plate though!) while I was eating lunch in my car parked in a parking lot during work and my car needed the passenger driver’s side door to be repaired as well as replacement molding on top of the wheel. The front desk employees are kind, and anyone you speak with over the phone, but they did a horrible job on the repairs. The molding doesn’t stay in place, they kept my car for twice the time they said it would finish, and when I got the car back, the man who drove it out front left the driver’s side passenger door that had been damaged open, and gave me my keys back by dropping my keys into my lap and walking off when I was in the waiting area. NEVER EVER going back here again.

The roof rack was pulled off top of my car (don’t ask how). I took my car to Precision Auto Craft to fix all the holes that had poped out and to install a new roof rack. They did a great job. I only had one issue with them. They originally told me that it would only take 4 days (5 days max). They had the car for over 2 weeks and I had to take it back in a month later for them to install the final part. But they were very professional and nice. They did a great job. My roof has not leaked yet. I was kinda adjited that they had not given the car back on time, so when I stopped by after 10 days, they took me to the back, showed me the process my car was in. All that said and done, they did excellent job on it. I would recommend them and go to them again if I have any body damage.
