Here’s a note. Finn B Que’s is back. They have reduced hours during the week. The food and service has really improved.

haha! they’re out of business now. Sorry Finn’s. You need to come down and take a look at what you’re doing. Went there on the«grand opening» night. We had been there a few times to sit at the bar, but this was our first night to sit down and have some food. I was looking forward to a Ruben sandwich to knock my socks off. There was an Irish band playing(too) loud, and we got a seat in the bar.

i heard that this place is closed, thank god. Worst service ever(at the bar). The staff would rather stand around and talk to each other than sell stuff. I was there with a friend shortly after it opened and we ordered a bunch of food, y’know, to try different things. The bartender(when we got her attention) said that she wouldn’t order all that food for us. Made us feel like pigs… horrible. We ate some salty fries and fishy calamari, couldn’t get anyone’s attention for another beer, so we(finally) got the tab and took off for Lucy Lou’s.

went back to this place thinking things might get better, the didn’t they got worse the bartenders could care less that you are at the bar waiting to order they would rather stand around and talk to themselves when you do get a beer you have to wait about 30 min to get another one i cant do it any more terrible rude staff has convinced me to never come back again

I’m rating this strictly for the bar. We ordered some waffle fries from the late night pub menu and they were… waffle fries. You know… delicious for what they are, but not indicative of quality grub. The real awesomeness here goes to their bar selection. They have a bunch of everything. They have five kinds of Patron, and still more tequillas than that. Their whisky collection is nice! They have a senselessly large vodka collection. Beers are abundant enough, but not out of control.

I hate the fact that I’m writing this. I live down the street from this place. This is the 4th or 5th time I’ve been there, and every time I go, I wonder why. The food is mediocre, and the service sucks. The fact that there were seats at the bar at 5:30 on a Friday night speaks volumes about this place. Here’s my latest experience(tonight): 530pm Friday Night. Got seats at the bar. Waited. Waited. Waited. Finally was acknowledged. Waited. Waited. Ordered. Waited. Finally got my beer, and SO’s wine. Finished Beer. Waited Waited Ordered another beer after asking for it. Got beer. Wife finished wine. I finished beer. Waited. Waited. Waited. Asked for another beer. Wife getting cranky due to being ignored by server. Waited. Waited. Waited. Got beer. WIfe PISSED because she was never asked if she wanted another drink. Drank beer. Decided to leave. Waited. Waited. Waited. Started waving check and credit card around. Waved. Waved. Waved. Thrust check and credit card in bartenders face. She gave me a look, and took the card and check. Gave it back. Signed, $ 4.00 tip on a $ 32 tab. Call me cheap, but I believe that tips are earned, and they sure as HELL did not earn the $ 4 I gave them. Avoid at all costs — there’s a wine bar 75 yards away with more personality, better food, and better service.

ate there with the rents. We got the P-stram reuben, the corned beef reuben, mom got a single cheese burger and wifey got the meatloaf. a couple black & blues later we had our food. reuben definitely lacking meat especially after eating at juniors a couple weeks ago. meatloaf was tasty and dish was plated nice. single burger said was 6 oz but looked like a white castle burger. wine list great. service very slowwwwww. lots of blue hairs in here for dinner. will def go back and try more food.

Have been to Finn B’ques a few times already. Really excited to have them in Newington Center! Food is great. The BBQ is tender and flavorful, the sauces are also good. The burger is no so good, small patties that are overcooked to my taste. However the Shepherds Pie is AMAZING! Tons of beers on tap, and bottled. Would like the service to be better, but it won’t stop us from going back. I also think the service will improve as the restaurant is open longer.

The location is the best part of this place. Lots of beers to choose from and a full bar staffed by tenders that know what they are doing. I also love their cheese fries. Some of the best around for sure. My only issue is the dumb name and the over use of authentic Irish music.
