It’s freaking closed and they didn’t even take it off from their website. I came to fashion island for nothing! Stupid company

Melvita is a little gem in Fashion Island(and San Francisco). The company uses organic French ingredients and is perfect for people who like skincare products that are natural, clean and fresh. I live in Sausalito, adjacent to San Francisco, but love buying my Melvita products down here in Newport because of the specialized attention that I get from Abbey and Shohreh, who are absolutely amazing. I am in the area about five times a year. They always remember me and take me around the store to show me new products and special deals. If you have never tried Melvita, please hurry in to get yourself a sample and experience how wonderful it is. I use it exclusively. Abbey and Shohreh will customize a skincare regimen for you(it’s also affordable!) that you will love. I always walk out of Melvita really happy. Today I bought the Naturalift for eyes. I could feel it working, tightening under my eyes right away. Note: these products have no chemicals or «bad» ingredients in them. They are strictly natural, but work beautifully. Please give Melvita a try next time you are at Fashion Island!

I discovered this brand 2 years ago at its retail location in Fashion Island and have been purchasing skin care products for myself, my 8 year daughter, bottled honeys for the whole family, as well as fragrances for myself. Its skin care philosophy is somewhat similar to French companies such as Clarins and Decleor(of which I was a fan of during late 80s and early 90s) in that the use of a facial oil is incorporated into the daily skincare régime. Jojoba Oil(1.7 fl oz @ $ 21.00) — Just a little bit too rich for use on my face but wonderful for use on cuticles, hands, heels and other dry spots on the body as well as for use as an after shampoo hair oil. The Nigella Oil(1.7 fl oz @ $ 21.00) — Nourishing on oily skin without clogging pores but has a rather pungent scent — not a big deal since I only use it at night. Floral Waters — There are toners from different lines but I tend to stick to the floral waters — Lavender Floral Water(6.76 fl oz @ $ 22.00) for days when my skin tends to be oily and Orange Blossom Floral Water(6.76 fl oz @ $ 22.00) for days when my skin tends to be more sensitive and less oily. Cleansing Jelly from the Apicosma line(5.9 fl oz @ $ 22.00) — This was one of the first products I tried. It’s a very gentle cleanser that’s supposedly good for combination skin but I found it almost too gentle for days when my skin needs a stronger cleanser so I passed that on to my 8 year old daughter. It has become her daily facial cleanser for the last 2 years. Refreshing Cream from the Apicosma line(1.7 fl oz @ $ 33.00) — Again, this was one of the first products I tried, supposedly good for combination skin which I also found a little too rich for my oily/combination skin for daily use especially in the summer, but great for use in the dryer, winter months. Foaming Gel from the Peaux Jeune(Young Skin) line(6.76 fl oz @ $ 22.00) — This is my staple cleanser. Don’t let the«Young Skin» label deter anyone older from trying it — it is a solid cleanser that does its job on oilier skin types but at the same time, non-irritating and not overly drying. Gardenia-Ylang Eau de Toilette(organic, 3.38 fl oz @ $ 39.00) — I love the smell of gardenias as flowers but do not generally find gardenia perfumes or any floral scents to be very appealing. This one is an exception though — probably due to the blending of the gardenia(floral) scent with ylang ylang(citrus floral), it’s not overpowering and has a very clean, refreshing and uplifting scent that is great for everyday use. Its use of natural ingredients makes this one suitable for little ones(my daughter!). This company has a website( ) for online purchases but I do not recommend it. I have purchased products on two different occasions by online order and both times, I have received products with very short expiration periods. After two bad experiences with online purchases, I just stick to buying all my Melvita products from the retail store so I can check the expiration dates on products before buying. The store manager(Daniela) is extremely helpful and patient, always eager to show you the latest products and offer samples.
