This landmark brewery in the heart of Newport has such a great party atmosphere and selection of beers available is very impressive. My cheeseburger was delicious and actually tasted more like a steak than ground beef… when I asked my server(who was very attentive and friendly) about the quality of beef being served she told me that all the beef served in this establishment was Harris Ranch quality, the exact same beef sold at premium markets. Wow, I was amazed that they used such quality ingredients in a simple menu offering. My server also said its the same beef used in their Taco Tuesday lineup along with chicken and Mahi-Mahi tacos that are out of this world tasty. My girlfriend, who is pretty particular about what she eats when dining out, was more than impressed with the quality and ample portion of seared Ahi that she said tasted incredible! I was very pleased that she enjoyed such an excellent dinner along with a nice martini and I totally enjoyed my ‘steak’ burger and a couple tasty cold beers served by a great wait staff in a friendly, inviting atmosphere. High praise for an excellent evening spent in Newport Beach that was very easy on my wallet… I can understand why locals and visitors alike swear by this classic landmark establishment… Great Quality Food, Excellent Service, Fair Prices and FUN! Thank you Brewco!

WORSTRESTAURANTIVEEVERBEENTO. My family and I waited 45 minutes for our food. Burger was raw. Taco meat over cooked to a char. DONOTGOHERE. My sister has celiac disease and cannot eat gluten and although they say they can do gluten free food, THEYCANNOT. Good thing she didn’t eat her food, she could have become seriously ill. UNBELIEVABLE. Waste of time and money. Wish I could give a negative star.

I Came here for the first time with a few buddy’s expecting it to be like any other brewery, Wrong. I would say this is more of a restaurant with a few craft beers. Most of the other breweries I go to have at least 10+ beers. I was a little disappointed to see how small the beer menu was, I was planning on pounding a bunch of beers and watch the Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Upon entering it was not to busy at all, I believe we got their around 5:50 pm 10 mins before the basketball game which is the main reason why we came. The lack of service was terrible or just short staffed? Not sure, but we sat right next to a TV so we could have a good view and literally asked our sever 4 different times to change the channel to the NBA finals. Thankfully he changed the channel right on time as the national anthem was being played. Happy hour food is decent, I got the Irish nachos nice and cheesy with crispy fries. Also the heck in item is real nice BOGO deal on the beer. I have mixed emotions about this spot, BUT I’ll be back if I am ever in the area and want 2 beers for the price of one. Hopefully the service gets better…

Great food and drink specials but service needs some work. I give three stars only because I’ve come here many times before and never had a problem with service. Today, however, was a different story. They have a really great happy hour menu. We came in to watch the Warriors/Cavs game because they have good drinks and a lot of tvs. We came in around 5:30 before the game and ordered our drinks. After asking the server if he could change the channel to the game three different times, he finally changed it although I don’t blame him(he was the only one out working the tables and the bar during the busy happy hour). Even adding just one server could have made the difference because it was decently packed for the game. We weren’t helped again for about another 20 minutes until I finally asked a different server who said she would tell our waiter. Turns out there was some kind of change and she was our new waitress and didn’t know. She served us for the rest night and besides a little confusion of our first waiter not telling her we used the Unilocal Check-In promotion for the bill, everything was alright. This place has great food and drinks and like I said, I never had a problem until this time. I’ll still come here to watch games if in the area but probably not during happy hour unless they decide to get more servers on big game nights.

Food is pretty good. The batter on the fish and chips wasn’t as crispy as it could be. Their blonde is incredible. Super malty with a great texture. Service is fantastic.

This spot has the best beers on tap. Good place to watch a game and kick back with some food. Go for the chips and salsa, it’s the bees knees.

THANKYOU to Christina and the Brew Co team for helping us host an amazing 30th birthday celebration with a large group! The service was amazing, delicious food(we ordered pizza, sliders, nachos, ahi burger, etc), and great beer selection — turned out to be a very exciting and memorable birthday celebration thanks to the Newport Brew Co team! Thank you so much for making it so easy to accommodate such a large party(30+)! We were allowed to bring in our own cake/cupcakes and décor :)

Came to lunch here during the week with my husband. –The beer was AMAZING! –We ordered the pizza and requested two different kinds, half pepperoni, and half mac/cheese. It was delicious! –We also ordered the burger, which was great! We sat outside and it was kinda messy. It needed some tidying up to do, but would definitely return!

I still believe that Arizona breweries are best. With that being said, this place is amazballs! Get the seared ahi sandwich with garlic fries. You MUST get the garlic fries. Pair it with the Dockside IPA and you are set for a good time! Also try the Village Idiot IPA and the fish and chips.

Cool place, husband enjoyed the craft beers. I tried the Mac and cheese and only could eat a few bites. Extremely rich and way too much nutmeg was added for my liking. The waitress we had was very attentive and she even was so nice to take the Mac and cheese off the bill(she didn’t need to do that, so nice of her:) Looks like this could be a great place to meet up with friends and throw a few back!

BrewCo is fun, food is actually good for a brewery, and a lovely selection of homemade brews. Local, great bartenders, spacious, easy parking, and ~chill~. Recommended

Came here because my friends invited me to join them here. Could’nt be happier with my experience. Tried to find the restroom and bumped into the owner. I understand why this brewery is so successful, he was a class act. So thankful for the experience, some of the best beer I’ve tried. If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out. Come try their beer and let the Newport Beach Brewery Company become you’re new favorite weekend destination. Great beer. Great people. I’ll be back very soon!

This is the first time that I’ve been able to review this place after being there multiple times before. Reason being… I’m finally sober enough to do it. All the other times I’ve been here have been on a Friday or Saturday night when I’m trying to drink with my friends. However I came here for the playoff games during the day and it was a whole new experience. It felt much more crowded with all the tables inside and outside but it also created a good vibe for the game. The service was alright… knowing they were really busy with the games. Felt like the beer was lacking this time around. Seemed to be a little hoppier than I remember, or maybe my taste buds were just surprised to be tasting it sober. Anyway, it’s my favorite place in Newport and my number one suggestion for anyone looking for a good time when starting out tonight. Cheers to see you there someday!

Finally finishing this draft a few months late… Made a trip to Newport Brewing Company last night with some friends to see if they could redeem themselves after last time. First things first: Their service was way over 5 stars! John was just the right amount of attentive. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and just a pleasure to have around. Mike(the manager) made his way over and apologized for the misunderstanding on our last visit and showed a genuine interest in us. Why 4 Stars? The Beer and Wing selection was missing a beat. Of the 8 beer taster, only the Hefenweisen and IPA’s tasted well balanced(the sour was ok).

Stopped in for a(super) late lunch while on vacation and were told we were just in time for happy hour. This meant $ 4 for most drafts and also included a handful of appetizer specials. The beach blonde is a great light beer option. Our favorite appetizer was the Irish nachos. The fries here are awesome. We also ordered the regular nachos, pretzel, cheese pizza, wings, and mini dogs w/fries off the HH menu. All pretty standard bar fare. We also shared the Brewco bbq chicken pizza(not on special) which was really good. We stopped in the following night to grab beers while waiting for our table at Mama D’s. Ended up being a good find in the area.

Thank you Mike(owner), Zac(bartender), and Jason, the manager who was working the late shift on Saturday, December 12, 2015, for the sophisticated and professional response you demonstrated last night in addressing the incident caused by your bouncer. My friends and I came here last night for the first time, despite living in Newport Beach for so long, because it seemed like a really inviting bar(and it is!). However, there was one incident that really put a damper on my night. Upon showing my ID to the bouncer, he made some extremely offensive remarks that really disrespected me as an Asian female and some how those remarks got under my skin. We promptly made a complaint to the bartender(Zac) and asked if we could speak with the manager about this incident. Often times when you make a complaint to an establishment, the employees can get very defensive. However, this was not the case. Zac immediately apologized to us for the bouncer’s behavior and notified his manager of the incident. The manager then came out, apologized, and assured us that this was not their business practice and that he would be talking to the employee to ensure that this situation never happens again. But the service gets even better. Mike, the owner, came out and apologized to me. When does that ever happen? Mike further assured me that his business was open to everyone, he did not condone his bouncer’s behavior, and that he would deal with the bouncer about this incident. I initially had a horrible experience based on the first five minutes of my time at this establishment. I was humiliated and discriminated by someone who did not even know me. Someone who thought it was funny, or even harmless to make such hurtful comments to me, even if he wasn’t trying to be malicious. I take pride in who I am, but his comments got under my skin because I did not expect to go out in Newport Beach and be subjected to this kind of speech. Nevertheless, because of the subsequent apologies and remedial measures made by this establishment, my night got so much better and I eventually had a great time. This review is not going to dwell on the unfortunate incident, but rather, it is to show my appreciation to Zac and the management who really took care of their patrons and made sure that we understood that their establishment is a place that accepts all ethnicities, races, and genders. It is safe to say that I am beyond impressed by this establishments impeccable customer service.

Ok, I’m going to write this review understanding what this brewpub caters to and what most people would want/expect rather than rant about hop profiles or a rushed wort. To start off this is pretty much the only brewery in the area, especially on the peninsula outside of Newport. They obviously get a lot of transient tourist traffic along with some beach worn locals just wanting a place to watch the chargers or 49ers lose. The menu is varied and has some good options for even the pickiest kid or vegetarian. Bartender, Clay I think, was excellent. Quick, genuine and engaging, all you can reasonably ask for in a tender. The Beers were what you might expect from a beachside place, they had a solid ESB, but neither the IPA or the Pale had any depth or solid IBU count to really rep the west coast. They had ventured out and did a pumpkin sour and a bbl aged stout, but neither really hit home. Overall in another area or city this would be 3 stars, but given the limited options in this category and the great service I received, gotta bump it up a little.

My friends and I came here on a Thursday because Woody’s Wharf, where we were planning to go, was not poppin yet. On Thursdays from 5pm to closing they have $ 4 pints and $ 5 wells! I ordered the Newport Beach blonde to try something local… do not order this! Tasted like water and I know it wasn’t just me since my friends all tried it and confiscated it from me to not«waste my limited dd alcohol intake on that.» Nonetheless, the bartender was sososososo friendly and let my friend sample the sour beer before ordering it-understandably since it’s not for everyone. He was attentive and considerate, as he asked us if we needed extra game players to battle each other on the games we were playing.(The zombies stole my toaster AND my cactus.) It’s a spacious sports bar, easily accommodating larger groups! Overall chill and although I wouldn’t want to come on game day when it’s packed, I will definitely be back.

Horrible experience. 1st of all the banner advertising $ 8.00 endless mimosas doesn’t specify it’s Sunday’s til 1:00 pm. When talked to manager about this ridiculous false advertising he said. «Well…You’d have to see the menus. You wouldn’t know that by our street banner»… No kidding. Then the tap beer I ordered was flat… Then to make matters worst… the chicken wings were frozen deep fried and disgusting… Then it took 25 additional minutes to make a new burger to replace… At least they didn’t charge for it… Uggghhhh
