We came here the day before thanksgiving and there was a line early that did not move the entire time I was there, about 1 hour. There was a bouncer who apparently could get you into the bar «if you know what he means», but there was not a cover. I would have been fine paying a cover, but this guy just gave me the creeps. I’ve been here before, a few years back and had a great time so I was highly disappointed to wait in a line that literally did not move so we left and enjoyed ourselves elsewhere.

I was there tonight. The bald bartender is extremely rude and disrespectful. I saw him accuse someone of skipping out on a $ 40 bar tab over 6 months ago… the person was genuinely caught off guard and upset… he offered to pay. This bartender had the audacity to say this person was not welcome there. To belittle him like that in front of others was so unnecessary and made me very uncomfortable. Just a thought, but hey … when you serve alcohol, you might consider giving people the benefit of the doubt first. Its called being a decent human being. I won’t be back to this dive.

Great lil Spot. The owners really cool and has kept to his Irish roots. Authentic Irish lads performing. Good vibes. Stiff drinks. What else could you ask for?

My favorite place on PCH! Love the owners and always have so much fun here. Make sure you ask for an Irish breakfast shot with your Guinness!

Shamrock is a neat little dive bar located on pch. It’s a nice refresher to get away from the same old bars on the peninsula (i.e. Malarkys, Newport brew co, woodys, and blue beet). My only criticism is that the music tends to be overpowering for such a small place. Also, you have to come here with a substantial group. It’s not really the type of place where you can meet a lot of other outgoing peeps.

Love it here. Now you can dance which is great. Good music and nice bouncer. Attentive service. Thanks for not kicking our friend out last night.

AGAIN a great experience again.
One of my favorite bartenders Scott working, he’s super friendly, always complimentary, sexy as hell, and makes a damn good drink. Always a good night when he’s working.

I have never eaten here but it is my go to place for a fun night out. Bands are usually pretty good but when they are not the jukebox is great. The bartenders are super chill… and they do a wonderful job of handling the extremely wasted. I love going and just shooting the shit with everyone. If you are uptight then find somewhere else to go.

The bald guy behind the bar is a bad person, he insulted my wife in a racially inappropriate way, and the prices for a drink, are absolutely ridiculous. Walk down the street and get treated with respect. Its the most expensive dive bar ever.

I love the full Irish breakfast. Delicious and filling. They even picked up a couple of real Irish people from the Irish farm outside of town and dressed them up like bartenders. How cute!

This place is so disgusting. Everything is sticky. It honestly looks like a good candidate for the next episode of Bar Rescue. I came here for lunch with my husband. We ordered nachos and the waitress actually came out and warned us that they use cheez whiz on their nachos. Terrible. I would go to Muldoon’s any day over this place. Gross.

I highly recommend the food, they have a great burger and fries combo for lunch. It’s definitely a good option for the price.
It’s our go to bar, has a good environment during peak house but not too crazy when you want to just grab a beer.

This place gets one star because of the staff. The staff here are extremely unprofessional and rude. I came here the night before thanksgiving and the place was packed. We waited in line for an hour and upon getting to the front of the line, learned that they were only letting people in at that point who were willing to pay the bouncers off. Meanwhile another employee was standing next to the bouncer referring to the patrons as «trust fund babies.»

My husband and I appreciate this little dive bar (diamond in rough). We work in area on occasion and want to hang out and have fun without spending a fortune on drink like most places in this area. Good option and fun place.

Meet there with friends when I am in Orange County. Even though I come at lunch time I always order the irish breakfast and beer.
Don’t cross the Irish waitress. She won’t put up with any English b.s.

this was my 1^st pub coming to California and the owners were super friendly & luvly people! great place to catch a soccer game or just chill with some friends and have a proper pint!
apparently weekend nights it is busy with the young ones, so you won’t see my ass there — I like it when it’s quiet and I can enjoy my fish and chips! (the food is delicious!)
a lot of folks won’t get this place, but for me… quite happy for those folks to stay the fook away! lol

Great Irish Pub along the beach highway. Locals come in for lunch daily.
You can watch soccer games; and all sports are always showing on the TV’s
The Bacon, Mushroom, Cheese Burger is Great and the Reuben Sandwich is better.
Live music at night and weekends.

This bar has it all: Food, Booze, Live Music, Great Bartenders and a (mostly) indoor Smoking Lounge!
Pro: Tony. Hands down and hats off; he’s an excellent bartender… tip him well!
Pro: I gladly give extra stars to any bar that kindly and comfortably accommodates smokers… especially in CA. The back «patio-​esque» area is partially screened and partially windowed – in. If it were raining, they’d have you covered. Enjoy your a drink and smoke at the SAME TIME. Hooray!
Neutral: I didn’t stay late enough to hear any bands, but I did enjoy a corned beef and cabbage dinner. Not being an expert on Irish cuisine, I don’t have too much feedback on it – except that the mustard was amazing.
Neutral: Drinks start at $ 8 a pop. That could be considered outrageous or cheap, depending on where you’re coming from.

People are amazed because it’s owned by Irish people. What the hell do you expect? It’s an Irish pub you idiots!!! Most people complain because they don’t know what a real Irish/​English pub is actually like. What do people expect, for there to be dancing Leprechauns at the door, greeting the guests upon arrival? The main and only reason I come here, is because they have great Fish n Chips, and they have cold Magners on tap. That’s it. I come here to enjoy my favorite food, with my favorite cider after a long day at work. I’m not Irish, but I am English, and any place that serves good Fish n Chips along with Magners Irish Cider is more than alright in my book. Keep that kitchen open a little later in the evening, and I’ll give you that 5^th star!

Not my favorite Irish Bar in Orange County, but this place is location, location, location. Can’t beat that.
Staff is often super grumpy, and it is rare if anyone that works here smiles, ever. Watch out if you park here and go somewhere else, as they will tow.
High prices, but it’s a fun place if you bring the right people with you.
