Dr Sugihara is an excellent gyno and I’ll continue to see her. Her office staff on the other hand is detestable. Both over the phone and in person they treat you like you are a real inconvenience. Sad for such a great gyno.

Its nealy impossible to get through to make an appointment with this doctor! I have called several times on different occassions, only to be placed on hold by the same female that answers the calls, for up to five minutes each time! Hanging up, and calling back doesnt help either.
For this reason alone, I have chosen another doctor. Its a shame, as I have heard Sigihara is a good doctor, but her front office sucks!

This is a terrible experience and I’m still in the waiting room. I have been waiting 1 hr 20 min. Their response was that «I was a late add». Why does that matter? They offered me an appt, never mentioning that I’d be treated so unfairly. They are aware that I’m on lunch from work, and this blatant disrespect from the front desk is not acceptable. Whether they try to defend themselves here or not, the anxiety and waste of time at this office is awful.

1. Random recital exam! Sugihara was doing my Pap smear and randomly announces in the middle of it «rectal exam» and then goes for it!
2. An hour late for my appointment. No reason, no apology, nothing… When I asked for a estimate to see the doctor, the front desk receptionist just seemed annoyed to be asked!

I think Dr. Sugihara is a great gyno. I’ve been going to her for over a decade. She makes you feel comfortable (which I think is the most important thing). She answers all my questions. She’s very intelligent to talk to, non-​judgmental and she never makes you feel like she’s in a hurry to get you out. I’d absolutely recommend her! I’m lucky to have scored such a great gynecologist since Day one (I have my mother to thank for that, who also goes to her!)

I think she’s great; friendly, answers questions, knowledgeable and returns your phone calls. She’s affiliated with St. Joseph’s Hospital, one of the best.
