Iris’ Massage Studio

I had a stressful 2 week work vacation so when I came back to VA I wanted to get a massage. I looked over Iris’ website and decided to get the 60 minute Wellness massage and a Honey facial. Best decision ever! They were both amazing!!! I did the massage first then the facial which I would do again cause I was able to lay there totally relaxed while getting my face done. I would definitely recommend Iris and will most certainly be back!

Iris is the best massager around! She is not just doing her job, but genuinely cares about her clients. Iris asks clients to fill out a medical questionnaire so she knows more about your needs and then helps you take care of those needs. Iris offers so many different massages and other treatments to take care of your body. She has strong hands and can keep deep, strong pressure for her hour massage. She doesn’t just dive in though, she will ask you if it’s too hard, and will go lighter, or harder if you ask! It is definitely knows what she is doing and can take out those deep, hard to deal with knots. I have myofascial pain that no medicine can take away. Iris actually heals these spots, completely taking away the trigger point itself, which gives me back function in my joints and muscles! I couldn’t turn my head to the right when I first saw her. Iris knew exactly what to do, and function was restored after my one hour pain management massage! I went back to her weekly and she completely healed my myofascial trigger point in my neck! It’s been two weeks now because I’m not working and this month is long, and the pain is coming back. I need Iris’ hands! She is an amazing woman who gives you great advice on how to treat yourself, giving you recommendations on supplements and oils, and truly creates a relationship with return customers. I won’t go anywhere else, and I just moved here in June. She has made a believer out of me! Thank you Iris!

I can’t believe I am the first Unilocaler to review Iris’ Massage Studio! I absolutely love Iris. I first found her studio through a email group voucher (you know the kind I’m talking about). It was a bit of a trek from home, but it was a great deal, so I figured I’d try it out. Well, after that, I went from buying about 1 massage voucher (for a different spa/​studio) a month, to seeing Iris 1 – 2 times a month!
While the studio doesn’t look like much from the outside (plenty of parking, easy to find), the minute Iris starts you forget that you’re in a professional complex in Newport News. Iris is a warm and kind person, but it’s her phenomenal massage skills that keep me coming back! I have had massages all over the world, and nobody «understood» my sore muscles like Iris.
Iris has available in her skill set a range of tools, from deep tissue to hot rocks to cupping. She is flexible about working with your schedule, a great communicator, and, again, a very talented massage therapist!
I have recently left the area, or I would still be going to see Iris every 2 – 4 weeks. I wish I could f ind someone up here as wonderful and talented as Iris. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
