Did you know that one of the ladies(Linda) that owns this store and owns 60% of the property in the Nye District? She is also head of the business commitee and Chamber of Commerce here in Newport, along with the lady that owns Wind Drift on Bayfront. This means that these two ladies go around calling the police on anything amd everything that they do not agree with. They call the cops on homeless people for no reason, they call the cops on others who sell hand made jewelry on the street, street performers, etc. There is a website where you can look up the gross income of any business and Wind Drift and Nye Cottage were both grossing over $ 2,000,000 a year, but they have a problem with others(who are less fortunate than they are) trying to make a living for themselves, which is probably just enough for food for the day. Now, if you want to support either one of these ladies sick, sick ploy to «clean the streets»(of the less fortunate), then shame on you, because you’re just as bad as them. But if you want to help out the community, then spread the word around, because these people are making life very difficult for the people who don’t make $ 2,000,000 a year. I know this from a very close source who knows both of these ladies. It is very sickening what the true intentions of these people are. I only feel bad because one owner, Cassandra is her name, i believe, is VERY sweet, and so are the other employees. But Linda is evil, TAKEMYWORDFORIT.

I loved this store. The ladies there was so nice and helpful. They have a fantastic selection of czech glass and really interesting beads I haven’t seen other places. They went out of their way to make my husband and I comfortable and they gave us recommendations on other places to visit. The town is adorable and I definitely will visit again.

This little bead shop has some unusual beads for sure — and a wide variety of cords and other bits to make jewelry. The selection is modest, but what they have is interesting and above average in quality. They appear to be aimed at folks who are here for the short vacation or weekend getaway — everything is sold by the yard or in tiny lots intended to make 1 necklace or other small something — and so the prices are a bit higher than buying supplies in more economical sized lots. Nice and helpful people — worth a visit to find something special to make while you’re in the Nye Beach area!

Found a nice little silver ring with a touch of amber to add to my ring collection. I always stop in here when I am passing through the town. They not only have beads, clasps, findings, wire, but a nice collection of jewelry, and all very reasonably priced. The employees are very friendly, encouraging and really know their stuff! There was also some sort of charity based gem/bead show going on this day. This also included a bead artist showing her wares. All kinds of special sales going on, with lots of browsing to be had.
