Neat little shop in a neat little town. The place won’t take you too long to walk through, but if you’re in the area it’s worth stopping by. They have stuff from a number of local artists which is cool, including clay pottery, paintings, photos, and jewelry.

Visited Perry County Council of the Arts recently. It’s a small gallery/studio in downtown Newport, with lots of high quality art for sale and display. There’s pottery, necklaces, jewelry, bags, books, paintings, prints, art, postcards, etc. All of it is hand-made by local artists. 40% of the artists on display are Perry County residents and the others all have strong ties to the local area. Perry Council of the arts also sponsors a bi-monthly poetry & music gig at area coffeehouses(currently Espresso Yourself Café), a kids art-fest in little buffalo park, as well as a camera club, and concert series. Hours Mon-Fri 9am-4pm, Sat 9am-1pm, accepts cash, visa and mastercard. On-street parking. The PCCA gallery is a member if the Rt 15 ByWay of the Arts,
