The Spa At Newport Marriott

If anyone wants to look and feel 10 years younger, get your hair done by Jenn. She is, hands down, the best hair stylist I have ever had. 4 years of crazy cuts (bobs to pixie and everything in between) coloring… you name it. If she doesn’t think it will work, she’ll explain why and find something for you. And if you show her a photo AND that is the cut, she will let you know! ! Why are you still sitting there? Go! Make a reservation with her!

My wife and I were visting Newport for the New Years weekend and decided on Friday to get massages on Saturday. After calling around to a few other places I called here. The spa was able to schedule massages for both of us. I asked about a steam room or sauna and was told that if we came before our services we could get a pass to the gym at the hotel which had a pool, hot tub and sauna. We arrived about an hour before our schedule massages and took advantage of the hot tub. After our massages we both went into the relaxation room. My wife read for a bit and I took a nap in one of the comfortable chairs. After that we both took advantage of the showers in the spa to get ready for our dinner reservations. The mens room had a full set of supplies — shaving cream and razors, Qtips, etc. This is the only spa I’ve been too where I could nap after a massage and that alone makes it one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!

It’s a new facility, and they took great pains to make it a relaxing oasis. We were pleased that the massage therapists were quite good, and we enjoyed our couples massage. The only drawback is that there are no saunas or other features available besides a lounge area.

It was an ok spa, just didn’t have a whirlpool or any type of tubs for soaking. This made the experience incomplete imo. It was very pricey, and the couple’s massage my fiancé and I got where just good. For $ 400, you are not allowed to be just good.

Came here on a spur of the moment whim. We had just arrived in Newport after a 4 hour drive from Manhattan. My bf was aching for a massage so we looked to see if there was one nearby we could hop in for a quick service.
We were staying at Courtyard Marriott, which is few miles outside downtown Newport. The receptionist at the Sap was very nice and patient as we decided (while on the phone), which services we were going for. Since it was past 4pm when we called, it was hard to get the type of massages we both wanted for that afternoon in such short notice.
She recommended a spa package which ended up being a tad cheaper than had we booked the services separately. We both wanted the therapeutic massage and as there was only one masseuse available, we staggered our massage appts so we could both get the service. For the other treatment, I selected the facial while my bf got a body scrub (it was either this or facial) and massage. The facial was ok, as was his scrub, but we both LOVED the therapeutic massage. I forgot the masseuse’s name but she was wonderful. I just wish she lived in NYC so I could frequent her more often!
I definitely recommend the therapeutic massage a the Marriott. It does wonders for an aching back resulting from a long drive to the lovely city of Newport!

David did a fabulous job with the body scrub. Loved it! Soooo relaxing and rejuvenating. Skin feels like silk. I’ll be back

A surprise birthday gift and while I was excited, I kind of put perception into my mind that it was a chain hotel spa and reserved myself to the fact it would be just ok. Not the case at all! For starters, it’s at the Marriott but that’s it’s only association with the hotel. 80 minute massage and it was really great. Immediately I was welcomed with a warm smile and excitement, the locker area was clean and while small, just what I needed… I wasn’t looking to spend the day there or in the relaxation room. My massage was perfect. The very best ever? No. One I would recommend? Absolutely! When back in Newport, I have no doubt I would make an appointment there and enjoy it tremendously. Hell, she even massaged my ears. Ha! Who knew that could be so damn enjoyable?!

I received this as an anniversary present. He booked two days of treatments — a hot stone massage and a hydrating facial on day one and manicure and pedicure on day two.
When I arrived at the spa on day one, the receptionist brought me into the locker room and gave me a key. There were two different size robes and three different sizes of «slippers» (which were actually flip flops). I changed, put my stuff in the locker, and put the key in the robe pocket, then went across the hall to the «relaxation room.» It sure is a fancy name for a waiting room, but it was a fancy waiting room indeed. Ice water with lemon, hot tea, trail mix, and piles of magazines were available. My massage therapist, Francesca, came to get me and brought me to the massage room. The hot stone massage was excellent. The music played was very soothing and the scents used were relaxing. If you’ve never had a hot stone massage, I highly recommend it. I actually prefer it to a standard massage. After it was done, Francesca brought me back to the relaxation room to wait for my next service.
Colleen came to get me for my hydrating facial, my first time getting one. Apparently a spa facial is a bit more involved than the at-​home mud masks that I’ve always bought. It started with a back scrub and moisturizing, followed by a hair mask and a head massage, then the face treatment, which felt like it was a dozen different treatments — cleansing, scrubbing, moisturizing, etc. My favorite part was a peppermint-​scented face scrub that smelled heavenly and tingled my skin.
Day two was a luxurious manicure and pedicure with Alaina. She was super friendly and the treatments were great. I was looking through the nail colors and couldn’t find just what I was looking for… Alaina came back from another room with JUST the right color. Which was amazing, considering it was a glittery red I never would have picked, but just felt like I needed. The treatments included a scrub and a paraffin dip, along with all the usual manicure steps (filing, polishing, etc.). The pedicure room was super comfortable and the chair had a massager in it. After the manicure and pedicure, I was brought back to the relaxation room to wait for my nails to dry.
The services were fantastic. I would definitely come back, perhaps for a girls’ weekend.
One neat thing — tip is included in the bill. Some people may not like that they automatically add a 20% tip, but for me it saved me the awkward post-​service fumbling for cash and desperately trying to do math. This way, I enjoyed my services and then was on my way, still relaxed and math-​free.

I came here to get my hair and make up done for my wedding and could not have been more pleased! The staff is friendly, comforting and actually managed to make me relaxed moments before I was to see my groom!
I highly recommend them and not just for weddings! They are a full service salon and you do not have to be a guest at the Marriott to indulge!!!

Beautiful spa! I had a great day there. I booked the Ocean Dreams treatment. David did a great job. I was very impressed with the staff.
Parking wasn’t ideal because of road construction.
Still, an all around wonderful experience.
