I might be a bit biased as I’m a native Newporter and I’ve been coming to this place for years, but I genuinely love Via Via. The staff is sweet, from the chefs to the delivery people. They really try their best to converse with their customers and accommodate your every wish. Delivery is ALWAYS quick, as is restaurant service. The spinach and mushroom pizza is probably the best thing on their menu. I make a point to order it at least once every time I’m home. The prices are extremely fair, too! They’re open until 2AM, so this is a great place to satisfy your drunk munchies. I’ve been here when the bars let out(bars in Newport close at 1AM for those of you who don’t know), and it’s a mad house, but the Via Via staff handle the rush with poise. Overall, the best pizza in Newport! Would highly recommend.

On the night after Christmas day, I was housesitting with no way of getting food. I tried like four different pizza places, and Via Via was the only one open. Literally thought I was going to cry I was so excited. You guys are all saints, I see you put up with schwasty-wasty people all night and now you deliver on a holiday that most restaurants are closed on. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed. If you want good, cheap pizza that’s a short walk from some beautiful docks and has really solid, patient staff, Via Via is a good bet.

I love Via Via Pizza. I’ve never had a bad experience with their pizzas and recommend to all my friends.

I don’t know what the other reviews are talking about because I absolutely loved the pizza and the service was great. We stopped by for a late quick dinner and I have to say that it was the best choice! We got the buffalo chicken slice, four cheese slice, and the eggplant slice. All three were amazing! Yeah they’re a little too greasy, but nothing a couple napkins couldn’t fix. :)

Lethargic, disinterested staff doesn’t seem to understand that customers matter. One family was served spaghetti without forks and none of the four people behind the counter cared to either look for some or run out and get some from another neighboring business. Orders were haphazardly put together and sandwiches bare minimum quality ingredients. Maybe the staff should focus on the customers given it is a holiday weekend rather than chatting with each other. By the way there were only three families in the entire pizzeria when this pathetic service level occurred. Save your time and money for an establishment that cares and gives you some value for the money. Good luck to them given this poor food and service formula.

I don’t know what people are complaining about. I was surprised to find yummy, affordable pizza; friendly service; and great hours after reading these reviews. The pizza had a nice, crisp crust; our lobster slices had a decent amount of meat on them; they were garnished with fresh, aromatic basil; and the cheese on it was good and not overpowering. It’s not the greatest pizza in the world but it’s more than okay. Give it a chance. One important bad thing: it’s cash-only. Don’t forget to bring some bills unless you want to use their ATM, which probably has a fee.

I think the mean review for this place is about right. I’ve hear people rave about this place, but my experience was definitely«Meh, I’ve definitely had way better.» I ordered a meat lovers, the people were friendly, and the pizza wasn’t horrible, but it also wasn’t very good. I don’t think I finished the whole pie. So while edible, not really enjoyable unless you’re starving. #mytwocents

OK, so I went online and submitted my order. An hour and forty minutes ago. Still no pizza. When I called, they told me its out with the driver. But Its been out with the driver for 45 minutes. My jalapeño poppers are not going to be even lukewarm and my cheesecake will likely be melted. Biggest waste of time ever. Never ordering here again. Period.

Place itself is beyond filthy! Food, napkins and black dirt on the floors. Flies flying around. Pizza is garbage. Could find better pizza anywhere.

I blame Long Island for turning me into a giant pizza snob. Hot crispy crust and flavorful tomato sauce are essential for plain slices(actually, any slice) and Via Via unfortunately had neither. Cheese pizza was greasy and soggy :(. Go for the spinach mushroom pizza– spoonfuls of ricotta and generous amount of mushrooms make up for limpy crusts. 3.5 stars for the incredibly friendly staff and delivery guy.

Way too greasy, with cheap ingredients; the two slices I got didn’t taste like much. I’d go to the grilled place down the street. Plus the guys at the counter couldn’t care less about any of the customers ordering or waiting for their food, they just preferred to hit on the underage girls walking in and out.

Greasy, and was given 2 cheese slices from different pies, one old and one new. Needless to say, the old slice was cold with congealed grease. Wouldn’t go back.

We couldn’t leave Newport without trying Via Via ourselves. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30 pm and shared a slice of lobster pizza and the«Newport»(Chicken, spinach, tomato and ranch dressing drizzle). Both were terrific!

Stopped by Via Via on a walk through Newport last night. We had already had dinner, but had heard from my sister’s friend that this place has the best pizza in Newport. I took at slice of lobster pizza to go, with the intention of eating it later. It looked and smelled so great that I ended up eating it while on our walk. The crust is crispy and flavorful with small chunks of lobsters sprinkled on the slice. There is just enough sauce and cheese, and the lobster flavor is infused throughout. Two slices will run you about $ 11 — not cheap, but totally great pizza!

Decent pizza with terrible service by some employees. When we arrived it was well before the lunch rush and the man working the counter wouldn’t even make eye contact with us, he just held up a hand and told us we would have to wait. There was no one else there and he didn’t seem to be doing anything else. We just stood there for a little while. After we ordered he refused to hand over a receipt and wouldn’t even answer my question of how long it would be. When the pizza did come out, it was pretty good. The female owner was really sweet though and she made up for her awful employee.

Not the best pizza, but what other options do you really have when the ovens aren’t working at Crazy Dough’s :(. Service is exactly like how everyone described in their reviews. Seems like a good place for drunken munchies because there aren’t a lot of other food vendors open late night.

Decent late night pizza. Extremely rude on the phones though. I think the high volume of customers gives them the idea that they can snap at you when you ask for a «supreme»(which costs $ 30 by the way). Pretty sketchy delivery drivers too. Also, hearing from kids who worked there over the summer, if somebody drops dough on the ground, they still make it into a pie anyway. Overall, impersonal and untrustworthy.

Maybe you have found yourself scouring Unilocal for Newport restaurants serving food past midnight. Perhaps you have cabin fever during a blizzard. Well, Via Via is one of the few places that always seems to be there for you on such occasions. The pizza is New York style, which I am a fan of. The slices I have tried have been pretty greasy, even the plain cheese. I’d put the quality on par with mall food court pizza. not necessarily the best pizza you can find in town, but good. They are usually open/deliver until 2am. Friendly owner. Large restaurant and menu. Fair prices.

Horrible service. Order was wrong. Order pasta without cheese, got a sandwich with cheese. They wanted me to pay the difference. They didn’t get my small cheese pizza order. They had mtv ridiculous on the tv. There were several inappropriate videos aired. Don’t go with family.
