I took my skis to their Comm Ave location to find out they’ve closed their doors for good. The one employee there told me they weren’t accepting orders but their Newton location was open for ski tune-ups. I drove to Newton only to find out their ski tuning machine was broken and had no estimated time for it being repaired. East Coast Alpine will soon go completely out of business and it’s too bad because the owner doesn’t understand what a good customer experience is.

I brought my skis in for a binding mount. They took 13 days to mount. I had also requested some buffing out of the tips where some rust had accumulated but when I arrived 13 days later to pick them up they hadn’t buffed my skis as I asked even when they had AMPLE time to do it or call me to double check. When I asked how long it would take to do that he said ANOTHERWEEK. They need to hire more staff. As a side note it took an exorbitant amount of time to be waited on, too. I don’t usually write reviews on Unilocal but I thought people should know how long they make you wait for service on your skis here. Best to call ahead and ask around if you are in a time crunch.

I had a great experience there, I cannot recommend this place enough, excellent customer service. I tried to get a minor service done on my daughter’s skis down the street at another ski shop. I was told I would have to wait 7 days. I happened to stop in to East Coast on my way home and they did it for me in minutes!

Can’t thank the guys at East Coast Alpine enough they hooked me up when I came in needing bindings to be mounted for my 4 year old skis before Christmas. They did it on the spot, and took maybe 5 minutes. The store while small is clean and has an awesome selection of skis, helmets and boots. We will definitely be by again when the time arises for new gear.
