pizza arrived with pepperoni undercooked and the non crust was uncooked dough. forget this place altogether.

There is not ONE complaint from me about this restaurant. Normally, I have a complaint about SOMETHING, so this one is a shocker. Visited the Chestnut Hill Mall and some places on Needham Street, and felt like something good to eat. I saw Papa Gino’s out the mega-windows at while at Michaels across the street, and had to immediately make my purchase and scram over. Papa Gino’s is normally so great and this visit did not disappoint. Additionally, I was super impressed with everything inside and out of the restaurant. Quaint, close parking lot attached to the restaurant(never too busy, and I’m always able to find a spot). Walking in, they had a full board set up with all of their certificates from the City of Newton(what is up with this city of Newton! Every place has some many restrictions on EVERYTHING. No plastic bags, no drive thrus… thank god I don’t live there…). It was also nice to see they had a Superior rating of cleanliness. Next, I ordered a pizza and the guy at the cash register was very friendly, kind, and quick. Found a booth(every single booth, table, and the high seats were all immaculate and everything else about the restaurant was clean and extremely spacious(for a pizza place). Pizza was delicious, and they made a mistake and offered me an extra-large pizza since they put the wrong one in(how often does THAT happen?). Superior customer service, restaurant, and pizza. Will be returning. Located on Needham Street in Newton, close to Newton Centre and Route 128(exit 19A). 5 stars.

I needed to get a quick affordable dinner in a pinch ordered from Papa Gino’s. We got a 2 large 3 topping pizza deal for $ 10.99 each. Not a bad deal. Not much to say here. Just OK Average commercial pizza. A step up from Domino’s.Yuck! We ordered online delivery through the website. Now the problems I have with Papa Gino’s is this. Ordering Online is a mess. to many options & prompts. Unlike Domino’s online ordering Papa Gino’s has a no order tracking. If you have a Problem with your order like«where is it» you can’t look it up online. If your ordering Delivery Just call to order don’t order online. it’s a awful! There delivery was very slow about 45 minutes to an hour. Not good! The Pizza itself is nothing to rave about. Our pizza was very juicy & Wet, Falling apart when you picked it up. The toppings where were they! The Sausage, Pepperoni with extra cheese. Fail! I mean can they spare it. We got approx. 1 slice of pepperoni per slice of pizza. And the microscopic pieces of sausage were like dried bacon bits. Bad, bad, bad! and as for the extra cheese I didn’t notice any difference. I guess you buy cheap you get cheap. On the bright side. The delivery driver was super nice and on point. & when I called to find out were my pizza was. the Lady that answered the phone was also super nice. And lastly the pizza did come very hot

Well, we’ve run the gamut of the usual takeout joints so decided to try the advertised all-you-can-eat special at Papa Gino’s. We put in an order for 3 slices of pizza at 7:02. It’s now 7:24 — no pizza. They said 10 more min. And can’t order next round til we finished the first order… At this rate, we’ll have consumed maybe at best 2 slices of pizza by 8pm, when the«deal» ends. Is it worth the $ 5.99/person? Totally not! Never coming back here or any PG…

Pizza is basic w factory ingredients but it’s classic taste for anyone from the area. That would make this review 3 starworthy if not for the 2 useless undesirables working in the back. As usual, no clue what customer service is. The Mexican(manager) and the high school delivery driver were helpful tho

Hands down, the best pizza aside from the frozen pizza I buy at Walmart. The crust isn’t too thin or too thick, it’s just perfect. The sauce is on point with the combo of flavors and sass. Dag I want some Papa Gino’s now. I’m glad I tried this place again because once I ate here(not this location) and whoever made the pizza must’ve applied aftershave or something because my pizza tasted like Old Spice! Other notes: Parking lot. On a strip with plenty of stores and other eateries. Staff is cool.

I was told that the lobster rolls here were delicious and yes, there is a great chain in Massachusetts that sells lobster rolls. I really enjoyed the garlic bread and the lettuce surrounding the meat. The lobster meat was very good — actual chunks and not the shredded meat leftover from random parts of the creature. Great price — a lot cheaper than the finds at Quincy Market.

I don’t know why we keep ordering from here because it is ALWAYS well over an hour delivery time during the day.(we are located 3 minutes away) Most of the time our order is wrong or they lose it. Yes this has happened more than once. Food is always cold and gross.

Pretty good pizza for the area, especially for the price. I wouldn’t compare it to a place like the delicious Sweet Tomatoes, but it’s much cheaper and my kid loves it. Especially if I order him a kids meal because it comes with a Hoodsie! The employees there can be a little surly, which is a little annoying.

Updating a 1 star review with another 1 star review. To be fair, the location moved across the street, so things may be a little different. Ordered take out last night. I’ve never seen a pizza quite like what I received. Huge crust, and the inside of the pizza was super, super thin(like a centimeter thin). Barely any cheese at all. Is this a joke? Tasted fine(doughy crust was kind of nasty though), but there was really nothing to this pizza. If I wanted a slice of bread, I would have ordered that. No thanks…

My kids like the pizza. But they have absolutely the worst service. I think that the quality of the food is inconsistent.

I love their pizza! Clean place, nice service/delivery of food to your booth/table. Nice to look out the window. Ceasar salad was fine. Just my favorite pizza. If you don’t like noisy children perhaps try off hours, it was very quiet when we went which was just what we wanted.

Meh. The pizza is okay. Greasy, but not disgustingly so. And I needed to buy 6 pizzas for a pizza party, and they offer $ 6 pizzas after you buy one at full price. I probably wouldnt pay more than $ 6 for the pizza, because it’s not THAT good. But that price is great, and I might even come back again when in need of pies for a party. I also love that you can order online, and when I went to pick up, they were exactly on time. We had cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, and mushroom/green pepper pizza. All not bad.

It may not be cool, but it’s been my neighborhood Papa Gino’s since I was a kid. Cheap, with Dr. Pepper flowing freely from the self-serve soda fountain. Heck, I like the pizza. I even like the chicken parmesan plate. If you need to have an important conversation, come here and slink into one of the back booths. Unless the soap operas on the mounted TV will distract you, or the dazzling fresco of rustic Italy(ancestral home of Gino).
