Wow, I hate to write bad reviews, but this place is a piece of work. I think the staff could use a lot more training when it comes to customer service. I’ve been here twice and both times I felt like I was bothering them by asking for help. I would have given it two stars, but it’s a nice store, in a great location and parking is easy. I just get the cold shoulder whenever I’m there. If they can work on being a little friendlier, this place would be a LOT better.

Horrible customer service. And I mean HORRIBLE. They screwed up my photo book twice. First time, I went at the time that was given at confirmation, and they did not had my photo book. They ran out of the material. WTF. And they did not even call to inform me. Second time they printed out wrong photo book. Apprently instead of deleting my previous order, they just had it floating it around in system. Tactinically speaking, that is my personal information and they really should not have done that. I called store, and the guy I talked to over the phone previous night before I went to pickup(I called because of the previous experience), lied to manager saying he told me the photobook was not ready. Which was not true. It was ready, just wrong the photobook. Manager was extremely rude, keep cutting into what I had to say, saying she believes what he says over what I am saying. Never going back to this store or walgreens ever again. — – Update — – The issue has been resolved by store giving me free photobook. Still I dont think I will ever go to walgreens again, but I thoight it would be fair to mention this.

This Walgreens location received a makeover about two years ago and now it’s quite the nice place! I always come here when nearby restaurants are preparing my food and I need a place to kill time, maybe buy something just for the sake of buying something. Certainly a convenient location, always seems to have low foot traffic. Perhaps the workers, while friendly and helpful, seem bored and talk loudly to one another to pass the time. I think they may forget customers can hear them? Neither here nor there. I like this place. I like it a lot.

We use this store every week, from house cleaners to pharmacy needs, they have it all. The staff is a bit dull but efficient, no major lines when I’ve been there. It’s clean and convenient, we will keep going there till we move out of Newton!

Pharmacy staff is rude, and unethical. They only care about making a profit. Nasty.

Wow! Spent lots of money on renovation but had one checkout clerk working at 5:30PM with a line of 8 or 9 people. Looked like there was one other worker in the whole store. They’ve filled all this space with worthless stuff that I don’t want(lots of junk food!) What’s the point Walgreens??? Will go someplace else to get my Q-tips and wrapping paper.

This place is the s*&^, and by s*&^, I mean don’t come here. Too much crap in a small store means narrow aisles, of which the ADA could have a field day with, loaded so high with crap, yeah, you are afraid that a turn in the wrong direction could cause an avalanche. Yes I worked here in my teens, this place and the newton center store. Both are crap. Once you find your stuff, you get incompetent workers who either are sweating all over you or so special and slow, well you wonder why you even bothered coming here.

It might have something to do with the intersection of Walnut and Beacon Streets in Newton. The Whole Foods here is terrible and so is the Walgreens. It’s way too small and crammed with way too much stuff. The shelves are tall and the aisles are narrow. When you walk in you have to maneuver through the carriages that I think they try to place between the exit and entrance doors but they always seem to migrate right in front of them. The far left side of the store juts out at a weird angle so the last aisle could be quite wide except that they’ve stuck more crap in the middle of it. When you’ve finally found what you’re looking for(even the employees don’t know where to find things!) good luck finding the registers. They’re at the very front of the store but the area in front of, on top of, and behind them is covered in… you guessed it… more crap! But this crap has spacey looking people standing in it. It’s kind of like playing Where’s Waldo? The only good thing about the place is that the«free» items in the monthly rebate book are usually in stock. I think it’s because people get tired of searching for them and give up.
