So, after a week and a half since I had to pick up my blouse they finally called and said they found it. But even when I came to pick it up, they messed everything up! Instead of hearing an apologies and $ 5 back for this terrible cleaning(the stain barely gone, but they ironed silk item! it’s unacceptable! so i could see marks!), she asked me to pay again as they forgot to check the payment in the computer… Or I don’t know what happened this time. I won’t EVER come back there and will make sure no one of my friends or relatives does! Stay away from this place!

There is another thing I want to talk about linsay. We used to offer 5 $ off for collecting customer email in order to send electronic coupons, only one person one address one time. This linsay came evertime give different email addresses to get 5 $ off for her one pants one shirt deal. None of them real.

DONOTGOHERE! Now named Local Cleaners, these guys are TERRIBLE. I wish I could give them no stars. They lose your stuff and ruin stuff. Things are often not ready when I went to pick them up and had to return several times and they gave me other people’s clothing a few times. I got over a lot of the above and many cases of the above but the below is not acceptable… One case that is quite upsetting is that I had a very expensive shirt here, it had some leather trim work on it and when I came back to pick it up the owner, George, basically told me that it is lucky he found it and didn’t let them clean it because it would have been ruined… so he didn’t call and this was a week later than I had dropped it off, but he stated he had a guy to send it out to who did excellent work on the leather… it would take 2 weeks and cost $ 30 then… I stated to him that this was an expensive shirt and«did he trust» the guy… he stated«yes yes. best in the business around here, we trust him»… I just went back to pick it up after multiple attempts to pick it up and it not being there and it was ruined… DESTROYED… and George did say he would pay me back for it, but not full price since it wasn’t new. He was also rude and trying to blame me for what happened, saying I had brought it there a few times. The other latest thing is I had brought in an Armani men’s dress shirt that had a cashmere back. I specifically told and showed the person I dropped it off with, and it has been to many other dry cleaners without it being returned destroyed… I took it back to him to show that they had totally ruined the cashmere and shrunk it and George had the nerve to tell me that it was my fault because if they charged me only 2 dollars instead of 5 then the service done was the wrong one. I am appalled that he blamed me and will not give any money to this… I did specify and show who I dropped it off with what it was and it is NOT my job to know their pricing or if they are going to screw it up… aren’t they supposed to know how to handle different clothing? George asked who I had explained the shirt to and I pointed her out and he said«oh, well that wouldn’t help because she doesn’t speak any English»… WOW, really? So, to sum up this case, I am at fault because I spoke to their employee at the counter, who works many mornings when I go in, and I should not have left my stuff due to her non-ability to speak English. REALLY? To sum up everything, DONOTGOHERE, seriously, you may think you are different but they will destroy your stuff… or if you do go here, apparently you need to basically know who speaks English(because it our job as consumers to sensor who we deal with at a business… not the store owner/manager’s job to hire people who can deal with customers… HA ridiculous!) and who can handle everything.

I moved to Newton @ the beginning of the month and needed a new dry cleaner. I decided to give Ying’s a shot as it seemed to get good reviews and it’s extremely close to my apartment. The prices were cheap and the day I brought my clothes in they were open until 6:30pm. As I could not see a listing of hours posted anywhere when I returned to pick up my clothes I can only assume that this is their typical closing time. While the prices were cheaper than the last dry cleaner I had I felt the quality of work was lacking. I should have inspected the clothes at the store but was in a rush so I waited til returning home. I have found that all of the shirts have creases in various spots that makes them look like they didn’t make an effort to smooth them out. I had asked for light starch and several of the shirts look as if hardly any, if any, starch was used at all. I’ll be looking for another new dry cleaner in hopes of better results

They do an adequate job of cleaning. However, the real problem I have with them is that when they lost a shirt, they were not helpful or apologetic at all. I spent a couple of weeks trying to get some feedback, but at the end they didnt replace it or even give me a credit.

Ying’s is an in house dry cleaner. When you go in there, there a lot of hustle and bustle in the back. Often, I have wait a bit to get someone’s attention. Never too long but I’m normally stopping on my way to work I’d like to get in and out a bit faster. I’m realllllly lazy when it comes to stuff like laundry. Fortunately for me and my appearance, Ying’s does wash and fold services along with dry cleaning. I typically go there every other week and get out for less than $ 40 including a number of dry cleaned shirts. I’ve run the numbers on this as compared to a laundry mat. Its about twice as expensive and, if you’re like me, they do a much better job folding. I only have two small gripes: 1) Maybe I’m spoiled by my last place, but I enjoy having someone know who I am if I show up that often. I even had a credit card on file back in Allston and just walked up, dropped off or grabbed my stuff after saying hello and left. It was pretty nice. 2) I gave them a shirt with a lot sweater fuzz on it. They got off a lot of it but underneath the arms were barely touched. I’d rather they say they have to charge me extra than just not finish the job. All in all, about what I would expect from a dry cleaner. I’d give another a shot but Ying’s gets the job done and is in the perfect location for me.
