We were visiting in the area when we ran across this local Mom and Pop restaurant in Niceville. Very delicious! The serving sizes cover the plates are huge and tasty! Home cooking away from your kitchen.

Really good food and excellent service. My favorite is the Irish omelette. The biscuits and gravy are also very good. Come early on Saturdays as they fill up pretty fast.

Anytime we come to visit this area we make this out breakfast stop. The French toast is so great.

I’ve been here many times and their chicken salad is the most amazing food! Can I hear a loud«Yum»! Get the salad not sandwich and you’ll have enough food to take home for next day’s lunch. Or… buy it by the pound for your next party. That’s what I did. Atmosphere is country charming, not fancy. Service is always good and quick. I haven’t tried breakfast but reading reviews I’m going this coming weekend.

Extremely friendly staff and great service. Omelet was enormous but a bit too greasy for me. I’m very picky though. Overall highly recommend the place for a good breakfast and a great experience!

HUGE portions, great food, super friendly service. We will be back! We had a toddler, who was unruly and the waitress couldn’t have been kinder or more understanding — really tried to make us feel as comfortable as possible, even when our kid was crying. Thankfully, the place was pretty full, so he was drowned out. Even though there were only two servers and the place was full, we received very friendly, efficient service and our food came out hot and quickly.

Ok so we came here to see what hype was about also curious about the long lines out the door… The atmosphere was lovely, the food was great, the portions huge, the Irish Omlete was spectacular! The servers where very nice however you can tell they where super busy. Apparently they only serve breakfast and lunch however. I will be returning for sure.

Had an outstanding breakfast here. Eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and the French Toast was sublime. Prices were reasonable and server was friendly. Highly recommend!

My group was asked to leave so that another party could have our table. We had been at the restaurant for about and hour, had finished our meal, and were chatting. We were horrified. I will not be returning to the Front Porch.

Mediocre for breakfast at best. I had the biscuits and gravy, side of bacon, and a fruit cup. Biscuits were obviously from frozen and gravy from a can. Bacon was burned to crispy dust bits, and the fruit was ladled out of a giant Rubbermaid bin mix of indeterminate age. The fruit was all pinkish and tasted somewhat fermented. The service was fine and the resto was packed at 8:45 am on a Saturday. Mostly snowbirds and friends of the owner, George, who seems to be a genuinely decent guy. Décor was plain and homey. All tables, no booths. This is the sort of place that cries out for a Gordon Ramsey sort of rescue.

BANDAIDFOUNDINMYOMLETTE. This was my third time at the restaurant. Food is fair. Service is just okay. But this is unacceptable! They covered our meal and asked if we wanted anything but I’ll never come back here again. Just plain disgusting.

The staff was very friendly. Go early, not sure how they handle large crowds. Had the Christina omelette, with grits. It was very good. Hashbrowns were cold, sent back with no further issues. 3-stars overall… Not dying to go back, but decent breakfast/like the environment!

So I heard really good things about this place and when my family came to visit, I figured let’s try it out. Ambiance was adorable, food was decent but our server basically ruined it. Not sure if she just has resting bitch face or what but she seriously made myself and my family feel not welcome at this restaurant. I was a server and bartender and even if you are having a bad day– you suck it up and smile or go home! I may go back again just to see if the experience is better with a different server but seriously– I have never felt so uncomfortable during breakfast.

We arrived too late for breakfast(stop at 1030). At first, we were disappointed about that. However, the lunch menu looked decent, so we stayed. Nice selection of salads, appetizers, sandwiches, etc. When our food arrived, I couldn’t believe how large the portions were. None of us could finish our food. The salad was good, the sandwiches were very good(and HUGE!), and the service was excellent. We will return. Next time we want to try breakfast.

The Front Porch is a fantastic little place for breakfast. The food is simple, but delicious. The portions are huge and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is quaint and unassuming. I had the French toast with a side of sausage and a mimosa. The bread for the French toast is super thick and delicious. The mimosa was the biggest mimosa I’ve ever had and, while nothing special, was still a great complement to the meal. I would highly recommend a trip to the Front Porch anytime you’re in the Niceville area.

This place is awesome! Very charming family owned business. The service was great and the food was amazing. Huge portions at cheap prices. My only complaint is that the corned beef hash omelet had raw onions in it, which were nowhere mentioned in the menu. But other than that, it was a huge hit. My mom had the french toast which looked amazing, and my wife had the taco omelette which she loved. It came with homemade guac and other stuff.

This is a nice little«mom & pop» place that is great for breakfast or lunch. It is a nice alternative to the chain restaurants. Had the meatloaf sandwich lunch special — great flavor. They had some really good looking deserts but I did not try any of them.
