Val has been cutting my hair for the last ten years. never really had a problem until recently she’s been giving me a hard time about changing my hairstyle and cutting it the way I want it. I had no choice but to cut her loose and find skilled barber in the city

Ari is the best stylist I’ve ever had. My whole family goes to her– 3 girls in their teens and 20’s and my husband. She is the most thoughtful and consistent stylist I’ve ever had. She does a fantastic job. It’s worth it to check her hours !

I’ve had my hair cut here for almost the past year and have always been highly satisfied with my stylist. The price is right and is conveniently located close to my work, which I love. One of the downsides is you can only make an appointment with either the manager or assistant manager as of January 1st. Otherwise it’s walk-in only. But I always go to Jesse every time I’m here; she does a great job and I always get compliments on my hair after — and they can’t believe I got it done at a Hair Cuttery!

Hey, I was pretty happy with this place! I don’t think I’ve gone to a chain for a haircut since puberty, but my wallet’s been skinny so I went out on a limb. I was not disappointed! I had Carly, who I’d highly recommend. She gave me a better cut than the ones I’ve often paid $ 70 and up for. While my request is usually simple – long layers, rounded in back – my hair can be finicky. I tell many cocky hairdressers this – if they put too much product on my curly but fine-textured hair, it will go flat. If you use a straightener, it will not look good. If you blow dry, it will turn into cotton candy. Despite these warnings, I’d say ¾ of them actually do one or more of the offensive activities. If they can’t even listen to me, well – I’ll smile, I’ll pay my bill, and I won’t come back. Carly listened, discussed with me to make sure she understood what I wanted, and was a really friendly, small-talking hairstylist. I’d go back to her in a heartbeat. I took The Boy there on, sadly, Carly’s day off, and he got a good haircut, unfortunately given by someone with fewer people skills. She didn’t speak English fluently, which is fine, but her idea of small talk was insulting his hair as being«too curly» and as «having a cowlick.» Uh, none of us are perfect, lady? She also expected my boyfriend to know what number razor he likes used on each side of his head and was disappointed that he could only tell her that he wanted it shorter on the sides and longer on top. We’re not hairdressers – how should we know what number razors are used on various parts of his head? Nevertheless, I’m sure she meant well, and the cut looked good, so I can’t deduct much from the rating. Hooray, Hair Cuttery, for helping me look good and save major bank!
