Food was failing and the waitress once again lied about fresh coffee. Don’t they know that when you ask if it’s fresh that they obviously are coffee fanatics? What’s the big deal of brewing another pot.

This place is fantastic. I almost hated to rate it so mare people find out about how good it is. Management deserves so much credit — awesome menu, super friendly service, in a laid back comfortable atmosphere. We don’t live close by but are becoming regulars. Great beer selection — awesome sandwiches.

Best Bar foods I ever have compare to many bar i went in my past. I have a weird habit that I have to eat, before I drink. I usually don’t other food at the bar except nacho jalapeño and cheese cuz most food at the bars are suck. This is the only place that I can actually enjoy the food then get drunk. Love the place so much! The bar’s bouncer at Morrison Roadhouse is the nicest bouncer. He’s funny and really nice. But don’t fuck around in the bar because you don’t want to see his bad side.

I loved this bar until tonight. I accidentally ordered a wrap that I thought was completely different than what I had ordered. I said something to the bussboy and the manager came up to me 5 minutes later rudely explaining to me that I had messed up how I ordered the wrong wrap, and what I received was actually what I should have gotten. He gave me the impression that they were going to make the right wrap and bring it to me at no charge. I waited 10 minutes and instead without even asking I got my check brought to me forcing me to pay for the food I didn’t want that I didn’t even eat. First time I had the rudest service at a restaurant/bar. I know I definitely won’t be coming back here again. These people only care about the money not about keeping regular customers.

Morrison Roadhouse has been in business since 1932 for many excellent reasons. They’re open 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. every day, with their kitchen closing at 3:00 a.m. The very large, wide, heavy wooden bar is a great place to both drink and eat your full meal. Or drink your full meal. Nacho appetizer is ginormous. A hamburger plate at Morrison is a bit of Heaven on Earth. All burgers styles I’ve eaten here have been grilled and superb– hefty in size and weight, with abundant toppings like extra thick slices of cheddar and sauteed onions and are perfectly prepared as requested. My far and away favourite is their patty melt. They serve home made, old-style steak fries in generous portion, and their home made cottage fries are little slices of deep fried perfection. Ask for crispy and yes, you receive crispy. Barbecue sauce is pretty darned good. They’ll give you extra sauces on the side, say for fry dipping, without tapping your check for another fifty cents or a buck as do some places. Bartenders are very accommodating, attentive, generous and thoughtful. Drinks are priced within the usual, acceptable range and pours are generous. Pete the owner is a friendly, chatty, helpful and kind man. Drop in a couple times and you’re treated as a welcomed, regular guest. Large screened televisions are numerous and well placed. Pool tables, housed in a separate room, are well maintained and a game is inexpensive. Yay! I’m absolutely a fan. Definitely worth traveling a bit farther from Chicago proper to enjoy their food, service, and genuine hospitality. ~Peter O.

One of the best burgers around. Underrated. Must try the stuffed burgers. Great drink specials.

AMAZING! I have come here a bunch of time in the last year and it has never disappointed. Great place to watch games! The best part is that they aren’t super busy on week nights and you can easily get a table, quick service, and great food. The appetizers are large enough to serve as a meal. The wings and nachos are the only apps I’ve had and they are flavorful and meaty. The burgers are always perfectly cooked. The best part is that they give you HOMEMADE chips instead of some greasy, soft fries. Highly recommend this bar & grill!!!

If YOU plan on going to watch a sporting event… the owner now asks you how many in your party… and has told us to move… twice. this has occurred now… and ReallY? We get there early to get good seats… just to be told… big crowds are coming… go seat over there. not worth the hassle… other bars are people friendly… and treat there guests like gold… apparently. you REALLY don’t care if neighborhood. people come in and keep u in business… sooo we choose… to go elsewhere… many choices!!!

The food is really good. The salads are huge. We probably eat here 2 – 3 times a week. The service, however, is not the best. The man I think is a manager/owner is helpful… The blonde, older server is really nice and does her job well, too. Sometimes see her during lunch hours. The two brunettes seem extremely ignorant to everything and always ignore you no matter how busy. Unless you are an older man who tips for tits, they seem like it is a bother for them to actually do their job. Multiple times I would stand at the bar waiting to order a drink or to pick up a to-go order and one of them will make eye contact with me, yet still stand there ignoring me for her phone or to fill up her own drink. Sucks because I am a hefty tipper and if they actually would just do their job they’d make more money off me. Such a disappointment for the hard workers in the kitchen because their food is just so good, but the service will keep paying customers away.

My boyfriend and I used to live a crossed the street. The staff was always nice and if i wanted something made a bit different they never had a problem doing it for me! I really miss this place but since we moved it is not easy to get to! It is a bit of a older group most of the time but honestly they have always been nice to me! I had never had a man say anything rude or gross to me. I read some of these reviews and some of them are spot on and others are not. They had a nice selection and often made drinks just for me because I am weird about my drinks. Keep up the good work guys! We miss you!

I loved this bar. Up until last night. They have great drinks, friendly staff and a great outdoor smoking area. BUT my boyfriend and I went there last night for about an hour, we each had two drinks. He opened up a tab, they gave us the total which was about 20 $. The card we used was charged an extra 100 $. That’s totally unprofessional. This upsets me because I probably won’t ever come back to this bar. Which I really enjoyed as it wasn’t far from my boyfriends home. Oh well. Rather keep my money and not have to worry about extra charges being made.

Morrison’s is a fun, divey place to get great food and watch a hockey game. We went in a few Friday’s ago to get out of the house. We ended up ordering dinner, a few drinks, and watching part of the hawks game. I had a patty melt, which was definitely above average, but next time I would order it with easy onions. If you LOVE caramelized onions, this is the burger(melt?) for you! They certainly know how to do a good medium-rare, the patty melt was juicy and messy. The homemade cottage chips sealed the deal for me. Service was a little bit slow, but I think they were short-staffed. Our server seemed to be the only one for all of the tables in the bar — and they were packed! I will definitely be back to Morrison’s.

We were looking for a place to go before my son’s hockey game and found this. Wasn’t sure what to expect by the look of the building. It’s a bar and wasn’t expecting much out of the food, BUT the food was very good! We all had sandwiches. My husband had a steak sandwich and said it was awesome! My hamburger was very good! Good prices and good service!

This is a fantastic neighborhood bar with food that’s better than some upscale restaurants. I’ve been coming to Morrison’s weekly for the past 6 years, and I’ve never had a bad experience. The thing that sets it apart from any other bar of similar type is the food. Morrison’s food is beyond amazing. Whoever does the grocery ordering, menu planning, and cooking there is a genius. Their food is always high-quallity, fresh, and so tasty. Their menu is thoughtful, and diverse, and everything I order is executed perfectly. They have a great beer and whisky selection, and friendly service too! I love this place!

This place is a friendly neighborhood bar, where everybody knows your name. I work down the street so many of my evenings end at this spot. I feel obligated to write this review because of a bad review I just read, although I love this place and should have written a review much sooner. This will be a four point review, but I gave five stars. One extra star is for kickassedness! One… Don’t bring your kids to a BAR and expect special service. This is a Roadhouse Bar… Got that? This is not to say you’ll be ignored by any means, I know almost all the bartenders here and I know they give the same service to everyone. This is charming space, but let’s be honest. THISISWHERETHEADULTSPLAY! You wanna drink and shoot pool with your kids have fun at Dave & Busters. Two, the food here is amazing, I haven’t had a bad item yet, and I’ve tried plenty! My favorite is their grilled skewers with Chicken and Steak, but their burgers are all to die for. I would gladly gain a hundred pounds eating nothing but this places food. Three, the pool tables are well maintained. This might not be important to everyone but this place has two tables, and the patrons know pool etiquette. The cues are not bowed, and the table doesn’t have chalk covering it and it’s perfectly level. Seriously. I love Morrison’s pool tables. Four and honestly most important, the people. Privacy policy prevents me from naming everyone but they know who they are. After only being there twice I was welcomed at the door by name by security, and the bartenders. These folks are just all around nice people, and they are good at their jobs. I don’t know the owner, but his crew is amazing! The regulars are also great folks, that vary in age from mid twenties to… Older than mid twenties… Morrison’s is cozy and clean, it’s the type of place that you’re not gonna look around after getting your drink and think«What am I doing with my life?» There is no drinking alone at Morrison’s, everyone is friendly, and like I said it’s where everybody knows your name! So do yourself a big frakking favor, go to Morrison Roadhouse, order a Hacker, and a Light My Fire burger and decide for yourself if it’s as awesome as I’ve described!

I cant sit here and write a kicka$$ review about this bar but at the same time I dont have anything horrific to say about Morrisons like my fellow Unilocalers. I left a bowling alley with some really bad watered down blue moon so anything would have been an upgrade Its Thursday PM and they have this 10 foot guy guarding the door. That screems trouble no? Things ran smoothly while I was there. Really dark place with a large bar in the middle. Lots of TVs. I assume it would be a cool place to watch the ball game. Anyway we sit down and the server finds out that we have more people coming. What I didnt like is that she didnt care to visit the table and wonder whether we wanted to order or wait for the other people to come in. Of coure we wanted to order. We had the beef nachos, the chicken tenders and the greek wrap. Well all I have to say is that for being bar food everything was great. Nachos were great, loaded with cheese and beef and guac on top. I was pleasantly surprised. The portions were massive as well. I highly doubt I am going to crave it but if I am in the area then I will return.
