Good breakfast! Hearty options and also lighter fair for others. They were roasting the tritip on the BBQ and it smelled so good! We wanted to order that but they said they just had enough to make an omelette so we got that. The meat was sooooo damn good! I just wish they had enough for a full order. Definitely worth checking out if you want a good home cooked breakfast or lunch.

Happy I read Unilocal reviews 1st cause the chicken fried steak breakfast burrito was beyond amazing(but doesn’t seem to be on the menu). I have have to callout the ham & spinach Benedict as one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. The home fries were made with red potatoes and kind of blackened with Cajun seasonings. As you drive up you assume that this tiny house could probably hold 10 people but it’s bigger than I expected plus has a huge patio with lots of tables that we enjoyed on this beautiful nipomo morning.

Quaint lil funky restaurant. Love the hamburgers and breakfast bisquits and gravy. Stick with the french fries and avoid the onion rings. Was VERY disappointed when I was served 5 puny lil rings and my friend had half a plate of fries! Also they charged us $ 1.25 for our ranch, each! So remember, fries and ketchup! Oh yeah if you order your hashbrowns well done, prepare for them to be crisped beyond consumption.

This place has the best breakfast. It’s a real treat eating here! I love the outside façade, I think it adds to the charm. The waitress is super friendly. I love the French toast. The Mason jar glasses are fun and so is the indoor décor and seating!

Really great breakfast! Everything is homemade! The breads are nice, thick, slices and taste like home! The décor is so fun — very old diner-ish! The people are the best — very friendly, visited with us when we were the only ones in there(which is rare), and serve the food like they enjoy it, not just a job! We’ve never had a bad meal or experience there! And, there is outdoor seating on a cool patio behind the building! Great place for a Sunday afternoon with the dog!

What a treat. I never knew about this place. Wonderful friends invited me for breakfast. Good, all-American eats. Friendly staff. Terrific brewed iced tea. Yes, I had biscuits and gravy!!! Gluten free blueberry muffin was good too. As you might guess from the outside it’s VERY casual. Fun place. Real food. Real people. So 5 stars for wholesome and earthy place.

Stopped in for breakfast after reading Unilocal comments. Super funky curb appeal. Back patio is dog friendly. My pup received a fresh bowl of water and a dog biscuit. I ordered the Klondike with biscuits and gravy. Delicious! I’ll be back.

The outside look of the place is what drew us in. The staff was awesome and very friendly. Unfortunately I had the chicken fried steak, ordered with gravy on the side, but it came on top. It was served with one pretty small egg with shredded cheddar on it(barely melted at all), and country potatoes with garlic and Cajun seasoning. the plate didn’t look very appealing when it arrived. I stuck it out with the gravy on top of the steak… It needed pepper and salt pretty terribly, otherwise, it was mediocre. The potatoes were amazing! The pancakes were good as well, tasted a lot like a box brand my mom used to use. Also, it’s definitely a little bit pricey for a breakfast place. Chicken Fried steak meal $ 12.95 or so, no children’s meals under $ 7.95. The service and ambiance was great though. We will come back when we are in the area. Other tables had plates that looked amazing. I think next time I’ll just try something different and see if we can’t add a star or two ;-)

Love this place for breakfast. Wish they were open on Mondays and Tuesday’s but still great food. I usually get the same thing every time. Prepare to go early if going for lunch, they do close by 2pm. Always pretty fast service and nice people who work here. Thanks again.

We’ve driven by this place many times and finally stopped for lunch. It has potential. Definitely needs restaurant makeover, but the food was pretty good. Portions were nice sized, tritip was amazing, and food was fast to come out! Service was decent. The man that took our order was a little rough around the edges but our waitress seemed nice. A beer selection would be nice. Wasn’t too bad for a first visit.

I just love this little place. The food is really good. And you get a good portion. I also love the family feel. Gina the owner is super nice. And so is her entire staff.

This little place is AMAZING! Incredibly prepared, traditional country-style breakfast with fantastic customer service. I ordered the eggs benedict with ham and spinach, accompanied by fresh grated hash browns. My husband ordered the country fried steak, accompanied by home fries and biscuits and gravy. The benedict was presented well with the hollandaise on the side in a bowl. The English muffin was more of a sourdough bun grilled to crispy perfection. The ham was seasoned and cooked perfectly and was full of flavor! Spinach was fresh with a little crisp – not slimy. The egg was poached perfectly. The hollandaise was very mild, almost bland in flavor – not the best I’ve had, but it worked well with the bold flavors of the ham and sourdough. Hash browns are very finely shredded and taste fresh, not frozen. The country fried steak was actually a steak with delicious crispy breading, not mashed up ground beef like you’d expect. The biscuits are fresh, not canned. And the gravy is to-die-for! It’s mildly spicy with chunks of sausage and absolutely incredible flavor. Potatoes are seasoned very mildly with a Cajun flavor, and fried to a crisp. Portions were huge. I only made it halfway through my eggs benedict. Overall, this food is some of the best prepared country style food I’ve ever eaten outside of my own kitchen! This is definitely our new favorite breakfast spot. The customer service is just as great as the food. We were seated immediately. We had our food on the table in less than ten minutes. While waiting, our kiddo accidentally spilled her hot chocolate. The mess was cleaned with no hesitation and a new hot chocolate was served without even asking if we wanted a replacement. To lighten her embarrassment, he requested she give him«knuckles» in trade for the new hot chocolate. It made her day and stopped the tears immediately. The staff are very human! The environment is cozy! It is an old house from the 80s, decorated like the wild west on the outside and like a cozy dining room on the inside. Parking was easy. They have diagonal street parking and a parking lot. We had no issues finding a spot nearby. I can’t wait to return!

The stars are only for the funkiness of this place. The food was pretty weak… I had the breakfast burrito and it was nothing special, nothing memorable and nothing I would go back for. The inside is small and very warm and stuffy on the day we were there. No A/C. They need to turn on some fans and get some air movement going in the place. Service was odd. Was looking forward to going here, but it was disappointing!

As a local favorite you immediately get to sense that you walked into someone’s home. Proceeded to recommend something I had never heard of before. Chicken fried steak burrito, where have you been my whole life.

If you want some good country cooking this is the place to come on the Central Coast. I even got a bottle of monkey spit for Father’s Day courtesy of the staff!

This place literally is a «home kitchen,» the restaurant is literally a mobile home. It’s very small and the tables are not suitable for more than 4 people(we were 5 people at one circular table and it was a bit cramped). The environment was very homey and the owners were very helpful. This family run restaurant nevertheless had some amazing breakfast food. The french toast had cinnamon inside and it was delicious! If I am ever in Nipomo again, I would definitely come here again!

This tiny little diner will win you over from the very moment you walk in the door! The outside parking can be a tad difficult, but that’s only because they seat 5 – 6 tables and you’ll always find it full of local patrons. The food is outstanding, the staff is beyond friendly. Make sure you come hungry! I ordered a Chicken Fried Steak Burrito. It’s not on the menu, and is a chef special… And is utterly amazing. They are closed on Mondays, which sucks… But get your Mayors fix in the rest of the week!

I love this place! It’s the best breakfast restaurant in the area IMHO. My favorites include the Porky Pig meat-lover’s omelette and the ham and spinach Benedict. Gina’s coffee is strong, just how I like it. The pancakes and the biscuits and gravy are yummy. What’s not to like? My only regret is that they’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays.(I’m typing this review on a Tuesday wishing I could go there for breakfast!)
