Oh my, now this is an EVENT to write home about. It begins early, around 11:00 a.m., and ends near 9:00 p.m., followed by jazz jams, with notable national performers at local establishments. There’s a tent to protect from the heat and pretty good food from various establishments. This year we heard Salsa (Conjunto Colores), wonderful vocal (Dee Alexander), straight ahead (Ron Miles), and a funky group (Liquid Soul). This exemplifies a perfect day of every genre.
Well organized, peaceful and a great crowd. .. Near perfection for the jazz lover.
One tiny criticism, which may not be fixable, is that a standing audience crowds the stage which isn’t appreciated by those who occupy chairs behind them.
