Steak ‘n Shake

Ive tried ordering milkshakes twice before and it was always a 10 minute wait to receive one while going through the drive thru. It’s SO unbelievably slow! Employees are friendly and the food is good but something needs to be done to make the drive thru more efficient.

Stopped by for a quick bite after work, i was waited on fast enough drink brought out promptly, food came on time fresh and hot… so why the bad rating??? I can tell you it’s not lack of skill, rather lack of proper training in food service
server was in the server ally having loud conversation with kitchen staff as I was trying to eat I’m hearing how awful their food is, that they never ever come there to eat the food is disgusting I’d rather go to the waffle house came from kitchen staff in which my server replied I’d go to McDonald’s first so how bad is that… needless to say I was finished at that point. I did pay for the food, i also said as much to the server/​cashier about their lack of disgression with customers listening.
She tried to cover it up until I repeated the over heard remarks she diclaimed she just doesn’t care for the food there. Fine, but its paying you to respect your customers.
I really hate to complain but this is costing you business. I was the only table there. I will not be back.

This is probably the worst Steak n Shake I’ve ever been too. The drive thru and dine in is terribly slow. Service is slow and the food orders are consistently wrong. I go here frequently and I wish they had a different Steak n Shake that was close.

Screwed up my order again, 2^nd time in the last 3 visits. I wish there was something else open in Noblesville at 4 am

Slow service. Cold food. Management walked by our food that was sitting in the window and blantently looked at it and at us and didn’t bring our food. Staff talked about partying while customers waited to check out. Management very disrespectful to Latino cooks. Customers can hear the racist jokes being told.

I love steak n shake, but hate this location. Extremely slow service, even when not busy. It’s very dirty also.

Nothing like a runny egg at 5 am, right? That was just the start of day on this crisp December morning that would change the course of my life forever. My waitress, JJ, and I immediately made a connection as soon as she smelled my scent of whiskey and cheyenne’s walk through the door. It was obvious to my friends that we had a connection, which created a jealous atmosphere as we finished our meals. The homestyle breakfast I ordered was one of epic proportions you could taste the love in every bite. Though things took an ugly turn when JJ betrayed my trust by telling her feelings to her other man at the counter. As i pierced the yolk of my over easy egg i could help but think of how it was a metaphor of my heart breaking and spilling all over the place a s JJ continued to ignore me. Let’s just say this is the last time i’ll be able to order my eggs over easy because getting over your first love is never easy.

Don’t ever get their salad. I ordered three today and all had old rotten lettuce. Their fries are cold. They always skew up your order.

The speaker in the drive-​thru of this location does not work. I couldn’t hear the person taking my order, and the person taking my order couldn’t hear me … like at all. And I wasn’t whispering, either: I was shouting and leaning out of my window like a nutcase, screaming «I’D LIKE A NUMBER 10 WITH AN UNSWEETENED ICE TEA!» But the guy kept telling me he couldn’t hear me. This ridiculous scene happened for a while — me screaming out my window — until I just drove away and went to Wendy’s instead, which is right down the street.
This couldn’t have just been an issue specific to me – I mean, this has to happen to everyone who drives up, right? So you’d think they’d do something about it – like, I don’t know, fix the drive-​thru speaker. This issue has to make it difficult for the people who work there to do their job (i.e. take orders).

I stopped in on a Monday on my way home from work with an hankering for one of their famous burgers. I sat at the counter for almost ten minutes, multiple people rushed by without so much as a word towards me. I eventually flag a waitress down and placed my order. The food was great as usual but the service was horrible. I will have to start looking for another location. They all can’t be as bad as this one…

I like to eat at Steak n Shake, but I only get the chance when we are traveling. Today was my day. We saw the Steak n Shake sign and had to stop. It was really busy but after a 10 minute wait we got a table. Staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions quickly. Price was very reasonable. The next time I’m in the area I’ll stop again.

Fantastic food. Love Steak and Shakes in general. This particular location has some of the worst service and management that I have seen in a lot of restaurants. Some staff is just half hazardously meandering around the restaurant with no sense of urgency. The manager was just kinda hanging out behind the counter with his headset on, there is a line of people waiting to come in and sit down, there were open tables and nobody was being seated or greeted even. If you have all day to wait, stop on it, otherwise head on your way.

I love the place its incredibly cheap. food is cooked fast and fresh friendly service and there open late except for one thing let me tell ya what happened. This was my first time here and i just got off a overnight flight and was very hungry so a friend of mine suggested this place so after I had ordered a custom burger btw which they had no problem making. once that came out I was a bit dissapointed on how small the whole meal was now dont get me wrong I know the fries are shoe string but why do you get so little? Honestly I was still a bit hungry. But other than whats stated above I have nothing but positive things to say about this place.

Worst service around. Expect to wait. Stand and wait to be seated. Sit and wait for service.

So, my first review… one of my boys ordered the chicken finger meal, it comes with 3 strips, he ordered an additional 3 as well. Our order comes, we are eating, i told my son maybe his other 3 strips will come soon. So as we were almost finished, the manager stopped by, asked how out meal was. I said, when does my sons other 3 chicken strips come? And the milshakes we ordered arent here and we are almost finished. Here comes our shakes, then the waitress with the other 3 strips apologizing. She said, well… you (meaning me, the mom) didnt say he can have them. Really? My almost 16 yr old son can order anything he wants… hes a big boy!
So heres my thought for the day, fast food workers went on strike demanding $ 15 hr today, yes, it is a fast pace industry with a lot of disgruntled patrons, but if you cant give exceptional service and make sure orders are correct, better yourself and get a career, not a job.
Im finishing this review because my sons shakes are now a dessert not a part of the meal. And im still wondering what this brown substance is dripping from the ceiling. None of us ordered soda!

The Noblesville Steak N Shake is one of the best I’ve been to in this chain. I’ve been told it’s a store they use to train employees for other stores. The service is great, whether drive-​thru or dine-​in and the employees know their stuff. The food is always correctly prepared. I love the crispy edges of their burgers and the 2 — 4 (a.m AND p.m.) happy hour where shakes and malts are all buy-​one-​get-​one-​free saves me some money when I’m in the mood for two shakes (or when I make a new friend!)
