I arrived at Syd’s after a hearing at the courthouse across the road so that my team could discuss strategy. First, this is what one might euphemistically call a «dive bar,» wreaking of smoke. Second, I was treated very rudely by the wait staff when I attempted to order a drink. The waitress literally attempted to pry my ID from my hand. I opted to find another place to meet. I recommend you do the same. I ended up at the Copper Still across the square, where I was treated very well. After a long day in court, the last thing you need is to encounter a rude and aggressive wait staff.

Had the philly steak sandwich. SO good. Highly recommend! Waffle fries are great and of course the fried pickles. Everyone else in the group liked their tenderloin sandwiches, which is a favorite.

Horrible service, bartender more concerned with flirting than serving customers. Good location but needs a new bartender for sure.

Cool little neighborhood pub with the best pork tenderloin sandwiches anywhere.

You know this is a good place to come when after you travel 900 plus miles you go an additional 12 miles to eat at Syd’s! I kept hearing about this awesome pork tenderloin sandwich from my boyfriend. So when we were in Fishers in July we came here. And he was right. In all my travels I have never seen such a huge sandwich. Tender, lightly breaded goodness with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. Enough to share and still have leftovers Bring a crowd so you can try the loaded steak fries, chicken tenders, crisp salads and don’t forget to have a couple local brews while you are here The service is friendly and always with a smile. They have a back area for those under 21. I know this is going to be a regular stop for us each time we come back. If we were local we would be here a lot more Take the time to visit downtown Noblesville and eat lunch/dinner at Syd’s. Just say The Tucker’s recommended it to you!

This place is awesome. They have the best atmosphere out of all the bars in the area this one is very much my favorite. It’s as if they plucked it straight out of the 70’s and added some modern flair. The bartenders are very friendly and very skilled. They allow ecigs which is pretty big and their drinks just simply taste good. I love it

Their catfish sandwich is huge and excellent. I love how they make their buffalo chicken sandwich. They soak the chicken breast in the buffalo sauce first then coat it and fry it. This way the fried chicken is not soaked with the sauce and it stays nice and crisp. Prices are ok. Service can be hit or miss.

In Noblesville for business and stopped in here on a whim for lunch(after all the place does say«Fine Foods» in the window!) I had the club sandwich and it was very good and filling. The others I was with for lunch mostly had the tenderloin sandwich and it was the size of a hubcap at least. It was also pronounced very good. I will probably be back to here in the future and would not hesitate to go here for lunch again.

We dig this place. It’s definitely the classic local bar with requisite shuffleboard but it’s good fun. Karaōke nights are the best. Food is good, honest bar food. Burgers are quite good.

Not impressed with the tenderloin but I like the place. Service can be hit and miss but find your favorite meal and it’s not bad. Burgers are good.

I wish that I can be kinder… having lived down the street and grown up in town. But… the fact is… the food is bad. Maybe just stick to a burger or tenderloins… I had the ribeye. It came with the whitest salad I have ever seen in my life. Included the butt… for added appeal I suppose. Steak is mealy and fatty with nuked green beans and rice that could have been last week. Prices I guess are ok… but. overall…just kind of sad here. Stick to booze and shuffle board. Will give a shout out to Ryan the server. He was a smart ass. .but also great and made a nice manhattan.

Syd’s is 100% a dive bar. Do not go in with high expectations. Not that your experience will be awful, but it is just a simple dive bar in the Midwest, so it really isn’t anything to write home about. The food is decent bar food. A tad overpriced, but it was good. It’s just a chill place to relax. The only negative in my experience is that I told the waitress I wanted an appetizer for myself, and she did not inform me that it is portioned for 3 – 4 people. Nor did it state that on the menu. I was hungry, but not hungry enough for a mountain of fried mushrooms that did not taste great. The rest of the meal was delicious! I learned my lesson, and will go back.

Mike Fremion dined on the Tenderloin at this hidden gem and said it was«Totally Digalicious». They let him in the door, so they obviously do not discriminate against bald dudes or general slackers. Happy they have gone smoke-free. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Noblesville… if you happen to be in downtown Noblesville.

You HAVE to love Syd’s…you just have to. Not liking anything there is unacceptable. It’s a great little dive bar & grill in downtown Noblesville adjacent to the judicial center. It’s full a rich history, friendly faces, good food and fair prices! I frequent Syds for lunch and it’s always spot on. I highly recommend the hot ham & cheese with real huge slices of ham on it, the friend pickles, and the cream of chicken soup! I’ve never consumed libations here since I’m usually on the job, but it always makes me thirsty being there!

I’m glad to see people reviewing this place for what it is — a dive bar. Well poured drinks, low prices, slightly surly but attentive bartenders. Food dive bars have welcoming patrons and this one definitely does. We’ve been there 6 times and found someone to hang with everytime. To round it off they have a solid shuffle board game. The only thing that keeps this from being a 5(as a dive bar mind you) is that the food is not very good.

The stars stay the same BUT it’s because of the ambiance of this bar. Good local atmosphere that hasn’t changed in probably 30 years… including the staff! Don’t expect the food to wow but it’s a great die bar!!!

A recent trip through the Heartland of Indiana was interesting. Traveling along Interstate 65 is a wasteland of fragmented sections of truck tires lining the highway that rarely and infrequently gets cleaned up. OK «I feel better now». Noblesville Indiana is quintessential small town USA. Courthouse Square is the downtown focal point. The Vintage Courthouse Building dominates your attention while the surrounding square offers many retail options, all of which are well supported by locals by my observation. This brings me to Syd’s. I was thirsty and eager to support the local economy as well. The building itself has historical significance as a perpetual drinking establishment for decades. Very Cool! The point is, I was here all of 10 minutes! I arrive at 12:15. A lunch time crowd packed the tables and booths. The bar was lined with liquid lunch participants, all with plastic disposable cups, an immediate red flag! Syd’s had an old upright cylinder style vintage beer cooler. Old school all the way. However every bottled beer choice requested was warm. The cooler works hard everyday, however someone needs to stock it accordingly! The bartender, apparently requiring some guidance, was abruptly reminded by management not to use disposable cups to avoid washing glasses. Too funny and too obvious! This is an old vintage bar that is equally appreciated by locals as a gathering for food and drink. Upon departure I finally realized why the bartender gave me a funny look when I asked for a frosted mug to go with my warm beer!

I’m a sucker for a good dive bar, and Syd’s certainly fits the bill. I’m not a drinker(odd for one who frequents bars, eh?) but they seem to have a pretty good selection of beer and the bartenders seem to know their stuff on mixed drinks. No health food here, of course, but it’s all tasty and well prepared. The vibe is very friendly. Obviously a lot of regulars in here, but if you’re from out of town you’ll be made to feel just as welcome. They do have entertainment, such as Karaōke, some nights of the week.
