The ice cream there is great. My only concern is the ladies room bathroom needs some work. The doors are way too close to the toilets. Definitely need to refurbish the bathroom for sanitation issues.

Some of the people here are rude. Why cant the ice cream be open before 11? I drove there for it? $ 1.00 at least per orange, I get them cheaper in MN. and you grow them here. .05 for a dixie cup of orange juice really? Should be the cost of doing business if I could of tried I would of bought it. I’ll go elsewhere.

Great citrus, reasonably priced. Excellent ice cream spot, cheaply priced. Florida trinkets abound. Sugary spreads and jams. That’s what we get at nokomis grove, and we always like to visit. 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s good but not great, overall. It *is*, however, a must-visit for anyone visiting.

I really like this little place, amazing juice and produce. The ladies working the ice cream are extremely rude-watch out! That’s why I didn’t give them 5 stars. I was offended and the lady tried to embarrass me. Rude!

Amazing lime ice cream ! Orange & dreamcycle Good too. Not much for atmosphere when the grove part is closed so go and take it with you!

The best ice cream in the state of Florida. I could go here 10 days in a row and still miss it on day 11 if I don’t go. Orange. Pineapple. Lime. All ice cream. Not sherbet. A must go for the ice cream and the crabby shitty employees. They are a joke. But worth it. Lucky the Orange ice cream is so good.

We apparently are here at the wrong time of the year to see the entire store open. It’s off season so everything is closed except the ice cream store… but the ice cream store is more than enough reason to detour past this place. The«small» pineapple orange cone is not to be believed… awesome. Can’t wait for a reason to get near Nokomis again just for another ice cream cone.

This is an iconic place to visit if your in the area. When visiting my grandparents as a kid I begged to come here and get fresh OJ and orange ice cream. It’s been 15 years since my last visit and it hasn’t changed at all. In the back you can still pay 5 cents for a cup of fresh squeezed OJ or grapefruit juice. I paid a dollar and drank tills hearts content! They lost money on that deal. They also have fresh produce and some meat products.

My brother, who winters in Florida, sent us a box of Nokomis oranges in mid-January. The card they wrote was not included, The oranges are averaging 40 seeds each. They were cross-bred to produce more seeds? The buyer was charged a lot and was not told the oranges would be loaded with extra seeds. Nokomis should be put on a probation membership in any legitimate grower association.

I have to stop by for an ice cream cone whenever I’m in town! Even if the inside is closed for the season, the outside always has the ice cream shop open. This place is great!

Yep Yep it’s good. Remember they only take cash. No debit/credit or square. The pineapple and orange soft serve is great. They have chocolate too for anyone that doesn’t want orange. Next I’ll try the Lime and chocolate. They sell key lime pie(not home made) and local honey as well from the window. The store was not open stating it was closed for the season.

Stopped here on vacation for some refreshment. Got some cones(orange/vanilla and lime) and some fruit butter from the market. Great find, and will definitely return if we’re ever nearby again.

Delicious orange flavored ice cream! The people working here are Very nice. When you go inside their shop you’ll find a variety of oranges sold in bushels. They have many other delicious items sold here as well. Definitely try the locally produced honey.

Unique and excellent ice cream with a local Florida flair. Located at an orange orchard, this ice cream stand is part of an establishment that sells local oranges and juice. The lime chocolate swirl is my fav, but the orange vanilla is also excellent. This place is one of main reasons I love to come back to Venice every year! A unique must stop in the Venice Nakomis area.

We received a box of grapefruit and oranges from Nokomis Groves and I would not recommend them for this service. The grapefruit were a beautiful color, but lacked flavor. The real problem though, were the oranges(which took up the majority of the box). I think they were old. I’m not a farmer, so maybe I’m mistaken. They could not be peeled without ruining the whole orange… they were that soft. They each has about 150 seeds inside. And the flavor was blah… Really bad. We did eat the grapefruit, but threw out the oranges.

Love their ice cream ! Always get orange vanilla, been my favorite since I was a child used to go here with my mother and get ice cream and buy some OJ. Went their recently and saw that the orange vanilla is the same but my boyfriend said his regular orange ice cream was very syrupy and strange texture. I’m sure it was just a bad batch. Such a great ice cream place to sit on the bench on a hot day and look at the trees across the street. An unofficial Nokomis landmark !

Nice place to stop off the main Tamiami craziness. Orange-vanilla, lime-chocolate ice cream were very Yum! Plenty of parking during our visit. Gift shop had the ability to mail fruit, kitchy little FL gifts. I don’t know if they have tours, but some processing machinery was right off the gift shop. We didn’t have time that particular day to ask.

On a warm sunny day, you are a dream come true. Your soft serve is so yummy and fresh, especially the orange and pineapple combination. A small cone is such way then enough even for two to share for $ 3.95. I didn’t get to see much of anything else since you were closed else wise for the season, but if I am in the area, I will be back.
