This Ono Hawaiian BBQ is bomb digity!!! The food is freshly prepared and the presentation is perfect. Got a two item combo: chicken katsu & island white fish. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly and quick. Better than other locations I have ate at.

The employees shouldn’t come to work if they are sick!!! This poor girl working at the register coughed into her shirt and it sounded so flemmy and gross! She definitely should have been sent home by a supervisor and should NOT be working with FOOD. She coughed a few times during my visit. However, the restaurant and dining room looked really clean. and had a somewhat modern design which was quite pleasant. But I’ll never eat here

I never really had hawaiian bbq until I came here. It opened up down the street from our house so we figured why not try it! Overall the food is pretty good, and the portions are great. I always have leftovers for the next day. We have tried many different types of meats on the menu, my favorite is the teriyaki chicken. You have to try the macaroni salad, it is the best! Light, airy and simple, not drowning in mayo or leaving you so full you can’t handle it lol. Also, their side salad that comes with the«light» option plates is great! The blend of lettuce, cabbage, carrots, onions, edamame, & sesame seeds is PERFECT! Plus the dressing is amazing too. The only negative I have is the staff at the counters haven’t always been the most pleasant. I suppose you can’t expect the best from a bunch of teenagers, a few of the girls act like you’re such a pain if you ask any questions or ask for anything extra when your food comes out. We definitely like this place and will continue coming here on a regular basis, I suggest checking it out too!

If I could get away with no stars, I would! There was a chunk of fishy substance in my macaroni. I spit it out, but I’ve been sick to my stomach for hours! I have to miss work because of this. I’ll NEVER go back.

There is very little I can say positive about this, my first time visit to Ono. I was going to eat across the parking lot at Carl’s Jr. for $ 6, but instead paid TWICE that amount for my Shrimp and Chicken combo at Ono. Here are the lowlights: 1. Super slow service…20 minutes to get my «fast food»…I think the cook may have made a thigh instead of a chicken breast and had to make a re-do. 2. Chicken was O.K., but shrimp tasted right out of a frozen bag and not freshly battered and fried. 3. No cocktail sauce or even ketchup for the shrimp. 4. Nasty, WARM tartar sauce. Who in the world does not refrigerate this item? 5. Bland macaroni that tasted like it was straight out of a 1 gallon store bought tub. Is there anything that is freshly made at this place? 6. Soggy cabbage in the bottom that had been drenched with teriyaki sauce. 7. No departure greeting from bored looking girl at the register.

Just have to say that the Kahlua pork that I got was virtually tasteless. It’s prepared on a bed of cabbage with lots and lots of white rice. Considering the prices for these little dinners, it’s really bland and tasteless stuff.

Went there for dinner and ordered the katsu mini meal and Kahlua meal. I usually come and the quality is good but this time it wasnt very good. The chicken in the katsu was almost non existent. Seemed like they gave me a bunch of end pieces. The Kahlua meal was better. The chicken teriyaki I ordered a good but the kahlua pork portion was very small. Definitely not the normal portions they usually give. I dont know if they are training new cooks or skimping on food to control their costs, but what’s the point of skimping but losing customers? I’m hoping this was just a one time experience. I’ll be back because they’re usually good. But we’ll see if this was a one time bad experience or if I’m going to have to look for a new Hawaiian place.

I come here for one thing. Two words. SPAM! MUSUBI! Now stay with me here. This location is great. They have a nice outdoor patio. Then they offer you traditional Hawaiian fast food. Which is super cool since Hawaiian food is a weird combo of Japanese, Korean, indigenous, and American food. And is hard to find. They even offer Canned Hawaiian fruit drinks. Like papaya, mango, etc. But if you ever wanted to experience the lust for life, the ultimate cheat food, the proof that there is a loving god and that he is not Kosher. SPAMMUSUBI!!! A thick cut of truly delicious grilled spam. Lovingly brushed in a sweet glaze. Seared on a stove top. Gently placed on top of of a portion of rice wrapped in a crispy piece of Nori. O… M… F… G… It is the best. Give them a try. The employees are nice. Even for fast food. You get unlimited re-fills. And can just chill on the patio.

Nice little spot for a quick bite. Food is always fresh. They even have a little patio outside. I wish they had some umbrellas for midday, dinner time it is nice out. My kids only like to eat the white rice. The soup is bland. I love the spam masubi but be careful with the food because of the high calorie content. Gets loud inside, acoustics are great. Counter space/ordering area gets crowded when it is busy but that is good thing for business. We like the spot. Happy eating!

Not bad for a Hawaiian grille located in corona-norco. Ordered the mini meal chicken katsu with an order of spam musubi. It’s much like a fast food type of place. You order at the cashier and wait for your number to be called. There are tables to the back of the place. The were about a few tables taken but they all had their food already. We waited about 7−10min for our foood which was a pretty long wait time for not having any orders ahead of us. The spam musubi was good. Very traditional, rice + spam with sauce wrapped inside a seaweed wrap. The order came with 2 and I gave one to my brother. I liked the spam musubi… Nothing negative to write about that. The chicken katsu mini meal came with rice, macaroni salad, and steamed cabbage. The macaroni salad was gross… Very creamy and just wasn’t my cup of tea. The chicken katsu was extremely fried… It was so hard and tough to eat. It actually hurt to chew and swallow it. I probably should of went for the BBQ chicken. My favorite part… The steamed cabbage haha

My kids are now fans of this place so it only makes sense that I update my review and give this place the five stars it deserves! The staff is very friendly and they know that my kids like more rice so they would just ask me if I want to substitute the salad that comes with their meal with rice which is really good because it’s a challenge to feed my little girls veggies anyway. I took my mom here the other day and she loves it too even my husband whose really picky likes it too. The teriyaki sauce is delish I wish they sell it in bottles so I can take it home and just dunk whatever meat I have LOL Overall I highly recommend this place. It’s cozy, clean, staff is friendly, food is delicious, big portions, priced just right… can’t stop raving about this place!

My favorite hawaiian food franchise! I love getting the family dinner because its perfect for a group of 6+. I definetly like this location better because it was clean and fast! My go to items are katsu chicken, teriyaki and khalua pork. we got a free barbeque chicken dish, which i though was okay. It was a little dry for my liking.

I haven’t been in here since it was a Starbucks. After being empty for at least a year, Ono’s completely erased anything Starbuckish about it and went with a clean, but rather claustrophobic design of all wood, floor to ceiling. Not inviting to me, but if the food is good, I can handle it. This location of Ono’s has only been open a month or so but is part of a fast growing chain found in California and Arizona. We went out for a late night, after-Halloween pig out, the whole family, 7 adults and 2 children. One of their 3(?) longer tables was able to comfortably accommodate 7 adult chairs and 2 high chairs. We have a couple of hollow legs in the group, so it just made sense to try out their Family Special. Each Special constitutes a choice of 3 meats, steamed cabbage, rice, and the traditional macaroni salad for $ 30, a very good deal. I ordered two. Then we subbed one rice and one macaroni salad for two green salads, a 25 cent extra charge for the subs. We were not prepared for the incredible volume of food that came out. Each item was separately packaged in to-go boxes, the servings were huge. Each meat was cooked to order and was sitting on the healthy serving of cooked cabbage that further delighted our non-carb eaters in the group. The BBQ Chicken was the big favorite that night. It was nicely grilled, still moist, all dark meat. Lots of it. The Chicken Katsu was crispy, nicely done, and sliced into manageable pieces, not bite sized though. The BBQ beef was nicely marinated, just the right amount of fat. Very tasty. The Kahlua Pork was tender, but some pieces drier than others. Not the best I have ever had, but still, it was ok. I liked it more once I dipped it in some teriyaki sauce. The rice. Well, it was rice. Yup. Six scoops. The Hawaiian macaroni salad was exactly the way it should be. I detected small chunks of tuna in the mayonnaise dressing. Nice. Four healthy scoops. And the green salad was the real surprise with edamame, bean sprouts, carrots, red onion, crispy won ton strips, and fresh green lettuce in a light, non-mayo based dressing, and topped with black sesame. It was addictive… if salad could be addictive. Serve yourself drinks. Serve yourself dipping sauces = teriyaki and katsu. Pick up your order at the counter. And trash cans to bus your own tables. I realize this is probably a watered down spin off of real Hawaiian BBQ, but the entire experience was quite good. Our whole crowd walked away stuffed and amazed at how good the food was, and there were still leftovers to bring home. Rarely can I say I paid just $ 60 to feed the whole, hard to please clan. I can easily say, Ono has some new friends here.
