The food was ok, but it took about 30 minutes to get my to-go order when there was only one other customer there. If you don’t mind waiting a while for your food, then it’s fine.

Went with my family of six. First time here so we ordered a good variety. We were not disappointed. Food was delicious, portions were great and the price is right. Can’t wait to go back to try their other dishes specifically the noodle soup.

Food here is great! Been coming here for a while now and nothing nearby compares. Pricing is on point with the amount of food that is given. A must try if your in the area.

I hadn’t noticed this place before now and almost went to the Ono HBBQ which is basically across the street, thanks to Unilocal I found Volcano and would much rather give my dollars to a small business VS chain, typical HBBQ menu items that are done pretty well but lack the small details. I noticed a sign with a few Specials and was going to order the«Spicy Lava Chicken» but when I asked what it came with, she said rice only NO mac salad! I thought that was a bit odd and wanting the mac salad instead of rice I passed. Spam Musubi(2-pcs $ 3.59) Mmmm Spam nicely done! Fried Shrimp(6-pcs $ 4.99) Shrimps were battered and fried nicely, good crunch my only issue was they were very small. Hawaiian BBQ Beef($ 8.39) Grilled slices of lean & tender Beef, marinated in BBQ sauce… that should be sitting on top a bed of steamed Cabbage that they omitted! Rice — It’s your typical Asian steamed white rice, personally I’m not a big rice eater, the wife liked it. Mac Salad — Good mac salad, scoop sized portion was a bit small. Volcano Chicken($ 8.69) I ordered this because the lady told me it was SPICY, it also should have been on top a bed of steamed cabbage but was not! nice large portion of chicken and mixed veggies nicely cooked but I’m NOT getting spicy?! Sriracha to the rescue… While it’s not quite 5-Star it’s pretty good and a place definitely worth returning to.

So I work within the shopping area and decided to try this place. My co workers recommended it. I walk in and an older lady welcomes me. I see the sign that makes it seem you need to purchase over $ 10 with card. I ask her how much they charge if it’s under the amount she said it was fine. She tries rushing me to order even though I was the only person there and I told her it was my first time. She didn’t even bother to answer back or show me the menus or explain what each plate contained. I could see she was too busy behind the register on her phone. Once I figured out what I wanted I hand her my card and she says she can’t take it, it HAS to be over $ 10 or basically they won’t take your money unless it’s cash. It’s 2015, how are you going to lose customers just because they carry card over cash??? Keep in mind I’m on my lunch &I Wasted my time here when I specifically asked her about that in the first place. She didn’t care nor say much and just stood there. NEVER coming back.

There’s a lotta scallops in this Crunchy Fried Scallops dish, and they were very tender and crispy. That may not sound like a major compliment and more like simple paraphrasing of the dish’s title but one factor to consider is that the scallops were completed, packaged, bagged, put in the dash of my car for 15 minutes, and then opened for consumption. And it was STILL crispy! *In the past, I’ve brought home a batter-fried tonkatsu or a chicken cutlet or an eggroll and after 15 minutes of being in a tied bag the food is not crispy. So I count it as a terrific compliment. Nice work folks!

Got excited to see a place that offered more than katsu chicken and a bbq combo plate for Hawaiian food. The food is pretty good for Hawaiian food outside of Hawaii. The loco moco is one of the better ones I’ve tasted. I actually liked it. Their bbq beef is really good! No need to add anymore bbq sauce to it. The spam masubi works. The sauce they use is sweet and tasty. Chicken katsu is done right. Hawaiian fried rice rocks! We catered food from here for a recent family event. Great, less expensive option for those big family get togethers. Everyone enjoyed the food. This will probably be my go to place for a quick dinner when I want rice and am not in the mood for quick Chinese take out.

If you’re looking for a Hawaiian BBQ place that isn’t Ono, this is the place to go to! Pricing isn’t too bad at all for some generous portions. My first few times here I’d order the chicken katsu meal and it comes with rice, macaroni salad, the chicken and boiled cabbage. It costs about $ 8.49 for the whole box? Or you can do the half meal for I think 6.50 and you get a 16 oz. drink with it also. My most recent visit, I had asked the cashier what he recommended and he told me to try the honey walnut shrimp and overall, it tasted okay and they don’t give you too much shrimp really. It lacked the creamy honey sauce and I did not think it was worth it for $ 11.99. Whenever I do come back, I’d probably just stick to Loco Moco or Chicken Katsu. Always safe options when going to hawaiian BBQ. Service is nice and friendly as well! and make sure you get some spam musubi because thats a must when you eat hawaiian bbq anywhere!

First time here and I opted for the $ 30 family meal which consists of rice, macaroni salad, cabbage and 3 entrees of your choice. I chose bbq chicken, bbq beef and chicken katsu and wow, they were all delicious! Not only that but the portions were huge! Bbq beef was small pieces of beef and most of it was edible. Sounds funny but I almost expect fatty, gristle-y inedible pieces in every meat dish and this was pleasantly edible! Same with the katsu and bbq chicken. My least favorite was the bbq chicken which wasn’t horrible, I would just choose something else next time. Macaroni salad was mild and creamy, just the way I like it so you can doctor it up if you like. There were 4 scoops of rice and mac salad and initially, there didn’t appear to be enough rice for my family of 4 but there was. And if you find yourself checking the food and wondering where the cabbage is, it’s there. Under all 3 entrees so there’s plenty of it. They also packed plenty of soy sauce, sriracha, utensils and napkins which shows they care about details. The owners were very nice and welcoming so I will definitely be back. There was so much food, I made some extra rice and noodles and was able to create a second dinner! Now that’s a bargain. Oh and they serve boba which I love and will try next time.

Yess! The closest thing I could find to L&L bbq without having to drive 30 Miles. I’ve been coming here for the past 4 years and have always ordered the BBQ mix(4 star in my opinion) which consists of: Macaroni salad White Rice 1 K BBQ short rib Chicken BBQ beef Most of time I would only finish half and save the rest for later. Too much good stuff! It was less than $ 10 for the BBQ mix. They have other things on the menu that are also popular like chicken katsu and spam masubi. I normally stick to the BBQ mix though due to the variety of meats and the vast amount of portion sizes they give you. The same employees have been working here for years. There is a lady that is usually taking orders in the front. I guarantee that anywhere you sit, you’ll be able to hear her call your order. Lol her voice is literally above 120 decibels when she speaks, so you could definitely hear her if you’re standing outside HAHA. She’s very nice though! Parking is really convenient, plus there is a wells Fargo next door if you would like to pull out cash. Don’t go to ONO across the street. they’re hella plain Volcanoe BBQ is the best in the Inland Empire.

And the luau continues… So I found myself once again back craving Hawaiian food so of course I decided to see it lightning can strike twice and I can safely say I was electric after stepping away from my vittles! This time I stuck solely to the BBQ chicken and had to get a side of the macaroni salad once again. I admit I prefer it cold, but it’s so good I really didn’t feel like waiting for it to be cool. The chicken was cluckin’ soft as ever, the BBQ sauce still screaming ALOHA, and the portions were generous as ever. Now dig that brah!

Tried this place for a second time and it didn’t fail me. I ordered the Hawaiian bbq meal with macaroni and rice and it was delicious! The cashier that helped me was the sweetest girl that I’ve ever came across. She smiled the whole time. For customer service I think that the mood you give off will make your experience more better if you don’t smile.

I’m always up for trying small businesses for a change. Sometimes you find a good place worth going back to’ then you spread the word about your good or bad experience which is why I love Unilocal! This is a local place right down the hill from my house there is all Ohana Hawaiian barbecue on the corner but I figured I’d give this a shot. I wasn’t a fan. A bit disappointed when I didn’t get my macaroni I mean what Hawaiian place does not serve macaroni with your meal. That’s like a Mexican place not serving beans and rice correct?! I Ordered the chicken bowl combo to find out that I get two big scoops of white rice who needs that much rice? My picture explains it all. The chicken was good thank goodness for that. I won’t be a fan of this place

Reading the great reviews I had been wanting to come here for awhile as I do most of my shopping in this area. Since they don’t open till 12, I was usually back out of the area by then and didn’t make it here till last week. Service is fantastic, friendly, fast and the food is made fresh to order. I ordered the katsu chicken and rice with cabbage and was given pork katsu, which I guess I was fine with as that usually costs $ 2 more. While I loved the breading and how it was fried perfectly crisp, the meat was horrible quality. Super sticky, tasty rice, but the mound of raw cabbage through me off. I thought it would be steamed and was looking forward to that, but instead I took it home along with the rice and fried both up for dinner that night. My husband had the seafood platter, fish, shrimp and scallops and loved every bite, again it was fried perfectly and I had a bite of the fish and did really enjoy it, much better than mine. Portions and prices are fair, just really didn’t like the quality of the meat and that they don’t really want any veggie options. Nice, family run business, food and atmosphere of the place needs a little work.

First time trying this place out today. My boss and I ordered a teriyaki bowl, garlic shrimp, and BBQ beef. Everything was delicious! Food came out very fast and I was greeted the moment I entered. Everything looked clean, they even had TVs. We will be returning!

This is another one of those places that has been right under my nose for years, and I chose to ignore it. Lucky for me, I had a craving for Hawaiian BBQ short ribs last night, and this was the closest. And the family agreed, that sounded good to them too. Good grief. The portions were big, the meat tender, the soy ginger dipping sauce excellent. And the typical Hawaiian macaroni salad was oh so good. And even the bed of steamed cabbage made a celebratory leap into my mouth. I was happy. And the big deal was, so was the rest of the family. We all got the same thing. Put this on my «gotta do this again» list!
