Briki Coffee House

As of today March 24^th 2016 it seems to be closed up. The place is empty. According to the sign on the door it will only be closed on Sunday’s but it has been closed all week and all the furniture and fixtures are gone.

This place is pretty awesome! I tried the iced «B!#@* Slap coffee» (a pinch of cayenne for a kick) and I really enjoyed it, it was slightly sweetened to perfection… I hate overly sweet coffee. If I lived here, I would make this my usual coffee shop!

Still a nice place, but not enough attention is being paid to the facilities or experience.
I was there for a couple hours today and they were being really stingy with the heat. Below freezing outside and the temperature inside was easily in the mid-​60s. Nearly every customer inside still had their coat on. No hot water in the bathroom either. I won’t be going back here any in the winter.

Came in on a rainy day. Place has a cool vibe and in Halloween spirit for the time of year. Barista was nice and made me a delicious iced Mocha. Prices are good and definitely recommend!

Briki is amazing! Tasty food and drinks, friendly staff and free WiFi! I’d come here over Starbucks any day. They have couches that you can sit on and be comfortable while you are here. It’s a quiet little coffee shop so better for studying. Highly recommend this place! I can’t get enough of this place!

I love everything about this place. It is really tidy. I had a Nutella/​espresso and a greek pita. SO delicious! I recommend this place to anyone.

Happened to stumble across this spot after eating next door. Since I’ve been in study mode, I needed a pick me up. I don’t normally frequent coffee houses & can’t stand Starbucks but, glad I came here! In fact, wish I brought my laptop & books so that I could study. Place was def a chill spot. I ordered an iced coffee (forget the name) but, it had Nutella & a shot of espresso! Sooooo delicious! It was strong, hearty, yet smooth! I want to go back and try their Greek coffee! Oh, I also ordered some apple cake. I’m still undecided how I feel about the cake and have leftovers I need to finish but, all good. Overall, great experience.
Service from Brandon was pleasant and welcoming. Another lady walked in with a bunch of questions and I must say, Brandon was very patient with this customer and answered all of her questions. Love great service. As he recommended, I follow them on FB & hope to visit again soon.

Met some clients there before showing houses on a Saturday morning and was starving, so ordered the breakfast croissant (eggs, cheese, canadian bacon). OMG it was SO good, the eggs in particular were just cooked right and had some kind of pepper in them that was fab, gooey cheese and salty bacon made it awesome. My clients loved the coffee, said it was very flavorful.
The place is clean, tidy, furnished with comfy couches and easy chairs along with some old wooden tables.
Not crowded, a few hipster kids roamed in and bought coffee and were quietly reading.
Great vibe and the ladies running the shop were super sweet and helpful.
Definitely will go back.

This is a nice little quiet place to sit and relax. I had a breakfast burrito to go that was really good. I may have to become a regular customer :)

Because it was reading day for ODU and because a friend had mentioned this place and because I needed a coffee shop without a coffee shop bustle, I came to Briki to do some hardcore «let’s catch up on all the essays due this week!» pro-​caffeination (which is apparently when you put off doing anything important until you’ve had coffee).
I had a huge breakfast burrito and some amazing concoction with chai. I don’t remember the name but it was the first thing on the Specials menu. Both were super-​amazing. A++. As was the service.
After some time spent hammering the keys of my laptop into creating some semblance of coherent speech and semi-​coherent thought in Word, I decided to go for a Round 2 of caffeine. I asked about a few drinks (the Lumberjack sounds absolutely impressive, but I’m not a fan of maple) and ended up with a B**** Slap. That thing is accurately named for a few reasons. It’s spicy as all get out, and it all sinks to the bottom of your cup so after every sip smacking you in the face, it comes after you for the KO. Another is that it tastes a lot like someone added Texas Pete, complete with vinegar, to the coffee. That just isn’t my cup of… coffee. So there’s the spice (amaze), the coffee (amaze) and then vinegar (not amaze). I drank the whole thing, but I wouldn’t get it again.
So there you go. A solid 4 stars for originality, coziness, friendliness, atmosphere, and a menu that needs just a little bit of tweaking but is otherwise solid. Oh! And for you nerds out there, there’s some older issues of Shonen Jump on the bookshelf. Yeah!

This is a little place of heaven. The décor is pretty up to date and gives the place a welcoming feeling. The coffee choices are pretty good. I recommend the B&@$ slap, is different and pretty tasty. The lunch menu is pretty good considering is such a small place. They also offer baked goods as well, all look so delicious and tasty. Thus far the apple upside down cake is delicious. I recommend everyone to swing by and try this little piece of heaven.

The atmosphere is nice and chill, but the coffee wasn’t quite up to par. I ordered the Nuccino which was pretty unimpressive. It was a bit watery. However, my girlfriend enjoyed her Aphrodite’s potion drink. I agreed that it was pretty good. I would definitely come here to hang out and chill. I will try the coffee again before I write this place off!

I came in on Saturday evening 5 pm to get two 12 ounces Americano and after tasting it I found out it was just one shot of expesso and the rest with warm not hot water. It tasted like dirty dishwater. My girlfriend and I informed the attended that the coffee was not good. He did not offer us our money back or to make another type of drink. Crappy service and coffee will not every go back

Adorable little coffee house right off the main road. Enjoy quiet music while reading a book. The staff is customer-​service oriented. The drinks are wonderful.

Was getting my tires changed across the street, and instead of sitting in the distinct smell of fresh rubber, and rubber cement (Superior Tires), we chose to walk to Briki Coffee house. Relatively new to the Riverview Village shops area, the wife and I decided to give them a shot. I will tell you what, they have my business. Decorated in an eclectic fashion of organized mis-​match of furniture, they set a very comfortable room to sit and enjoy the coffee. As for the coffee, DELICIOUS! I like a good strong coffee flavor, even when I get a mocha, and they met the challenge. The young ladies manning the counter were friendly, attentive, and were nice and talkative (who else can’t stand when the staff barely acknowledges your presence, right?) while we were ordering, and even answered questions about the shop while we sat. Definitely worth taking the time to forgo those chain places, and give that local business the chance. Great service, food, and décor makes this a great place to spend some time to relax.

They’re are quite of few good coffee shops in the area but this one stands out for a couple of reasons, mainly the drinks the chai tea was very good in fact it was the best I have had in a long time but next time I’ll have to ask them to make the drink a bit hotter. While I was there I also ordered a chicken gyro and the tzatziki was spot on
Overall this is a good place to grab a drink and a quick bite to eat and I will definitely be coming back

Cool spot. Very quaint. Quiet for a Friday afternoon coffee. It’s full of furniture that doesn’t match but fit so well with their design. The couches are so comfortable I wanted to take a nap.
Drink some coffee. Grab a smoothie. You can grab a quick breakfast, too. Whatever you do, take the time to sit down and relax. It’s one of those places where the invitation is there by setup.
If you ever need a few minutes out of your day for a break, this is a good spot. Over and out.

Daughter displayed lovely family photos and décor on the walls. The
ART and family pictures gives a warm welcoming as well as Greek culture, owner
wishes to share. BRIKI is GREEK. I will go again.
