I really wish I would’ve read the review on Unilocal instead of
where this place scored 3.8 stars. HEAVENS THAT’S A LIE!
We needed a place to stay for 1 night on our way home from Great Wolf Lodge. We wanted to stop at the beach but didn’t want to pay $ 250 a night for an oceanfront view since we wouldn’t be in the room to enjoy it. I came upon this $ 105 a night room 10 minutes from the beach. Based on the reviews on
I thought I found a diamond in the rough. Well no. It was just ROUGH! This place is just realllllly bad. I will add in addition to the previous review, that our room was also in the back which creeped us out. We parked our car in the front, slept ON the bed with sweatpants and sweatshirts… the room stunk. We didnt even take a shower it was so nasty. Don’t go here! This place should be put out of business!

Oh my, this place is bad, really really bad! Not just sleaze ball, slimy, hourly rate bad but really bad! Usually I would say you get what you pay for but my heavens, you don’t even get that when you stay at this one!
I wasn’t going to be in town 24 hours so I just needed a place to nap between my daughters Army School of Music graduation and my plane arrival and departure. Naturally I didn’t want to spend a whole lot just to nap so I found this one through Expedia, it was right outside the Little Creek base and it seemed perfect for my needs.
First off, the lobby stinks! I was hoping beyond hope that the room didn’t smell as bad as the lobby but my hopes were soon dashed! Wait, here’s an opportunity for positive feedback — the guy that checked me in was nice! He wasn’t overly nice, didn’t explain anything and didn’t converse much but at least he wasn’t rude and he smiled!
I was given a room on the back side, which I didn’t like at first because it was kind of creepy back there and I was alone, but I came to appreciate the silence for napping purposes! I just found it odd that there were NO cars in the parking lot and yet I’m given a room upstairs in the back? So I open the door, exhausted after 36 hours of no sleep (those red-​eyes will kill you) and nope, the smell wasn’t any better than the lobby! It wasn’t the same smell, but it sure wasn’t good! At that point I didn’t care, I turned on the air conditioner… oh wait, another positive remark here… and it worked! It was super duper quiet and the black out curtains made it dark so I got my 2 hour nap before I was off again!
I returned at 10:00 pm for another 3 hour nap and that’s when all the negatives came about… mold/​mildew in the shower, only one towel (2 wash clothes and 2 hand towels though), no blanket on the bed (sheet and bedspread only), no conditioner (only shampoo and lotion), no ironing board or iron and rooms booked on both sides even though the place was empty in front and downstairs! One last positive remark — the blow dryer worked!
So for the blow dryer and air conditioner I give the place one star! For all the other negatives, I take away four stars!
