This is one of those places you wonder about from the small patio area outside. So we randomly came in here because we were in the mood for something unhealthy. As soon as you walk in, its like A.D.D. city in there! So much going on with the walls, the counters and the staff. I was a bit confused, but you order at the front and they will bring the food out to your table when its ready. It’s really a mom and pop dinner type of deal. Their food is pretty ordinary. Nothing special whatsoever. The boneless buffalo chicken I had felt like it was store bought and was just warmed up and sauced. Again, nothing fancy or remotely awesome about it. It was just good. Okay okay so I wont bash this place too much, because they’re pretty darn affordable and super friendly inside. Definitely a college spot. Great for a quick bite in between classes.

I am truly a fan of this location, the food and the customer service. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with happy faces and a comfortable and relaxed setting. A place like this is truly hard to find anywhere. There are daily specials and their sauce is AMAZING! I will say that I always order the tuna melt and fries. I don’t think I’ve had anything else here. I’d like to think I’m a tuna melt connoisseur and this place’s tuna melt is on my tope 10 list.

Solid little place that has all the greasy goodness in a burger you could want. At a great price too!

These types of places are hard to find these days. Just great fresh food, made the right way, at the right price, and super friendly staff. I had a cheeseburger and 5 cent root beer float. Tip: Thursday is add a patty for 5 cents and its 5 cent root beer float day! They have special sauces available at the counter to use, which are incredible. I’ll be back for sure and I’ll tell anyone in the area to stop by.

The staff. The food. The atmosphere. are incredible! However someone seems to think their french fries are bland. FYI. They change their fryer oil frequently therefore it holds no residual flavor of other fried foods. Try a little secret sauce. Or perhaps seasoning salt. Or just plain old salt and pepper. All of which are with in reach of wherever you’re sitting. If you choose to get takeout by all means ask for the condiments they’ll be glad to hook you up! If you haven’t been go! If you’ve been then I already know you go back!

Not a bad spot at all. I stopped in for breakfast. Nice and clean looking place. I like the house made sauce; very tasty. You also buy a bottle and get free refills for life apparently. Not a bad deal. This place gets a thumbs up.

Not everything needs to be fancy. This place just nails it. I come in for the daily specials, grab a quick breakfast sandwich to go, enjoy a burger, and of course the hot dogs. It’s all the classless favorites that you just crave, made hot and fresh. If I ate here more, I’d be fat, but so happy. This spot is broke college kid approved, and really all the staff is just super friendly making it popular with everyone.

I had the hot dog with mustard, chili and onions. It was okay but nothing to brag about. The fries and onion rings really had no taste due to the lack of seasoning and the onion rings tasted like there were no onions in them. The fried pickle was awesome just wished it was bigger. For the price it’s not bad if you are in the ODU Ted Constant Arena area before or after a show. Happy hour is 3 to 7. One more thing the secret sauce is kinda like mac sauce thousand island and vinegar. It’s sweet tasting. Again nothing to write home about!

Love the grill and chill atmosphere. «P-Frank’s» as the students call it has really came into its own as a social hotspot for students and faculty of Old Dominion University. The service was a little slow however the food was superb. The chili cheese fries were my favorite menu item and the fried chicken sandwich was easily a 7.5÷10. This place will definitely be seeing more of me and I will recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, simple and cheap option to hangout.

I’ve been here with my partner on several occasions. The food is excellent, the service is quick and friendly, and the price is cheap(which is great for a college student). They are very godd at cooking basic food like hamburgers, hotdogs, and frys. The food is always fresh, jot, and good qaulity. Your not gonna find lobster here but youl certainly leave satisfied.

Don’t be intimidated by the laid back look of this place. Excellent bacon egg & cheese sandwich on a toasted bun type bread. French toast is an option too. If you are looking for an omelet or pancakes go elsewhere. Everything is served on paper plates with plastic utensils.

Food is always good and prepared quickly. Employees are nice and attentive. Pretty cheap. It is very convenient for college students. Most things on the menu are not very healthy. The perfectly frank sauce is so good. If u have not gone here u need to try it.

Had a taste for a good hotdog, so I pulled up my trusty Unilocal App and found Perfectly Frank near by. They were about to close in 30 minutes, but they said it was okay to eat in. We ended up eating outside since it was a beautiful night. My wife had two Hot Dogs and I had a New York Hot and Bratwurst. We also shared an order of cheese fries. The hot dogs were okay from what she said and my Bratwurst(with deli mustard & Sauerkraut) was pretty good, but when I took a bite of that New York Hot… we should have just ordered 4 of those. So tasty and for the price I should also ordered a few more to go as well. Next time I will try a Kielbasa as well and maybe even a burger. Service was really great as well.

Not your typical«dog and burger» joint. Imagine what you think it’s going to be and make it better. The PFrank’s Sauce is incredible. For $ 3.99 you can buy a bottle and get free refills for life! Whaaaat?! It’s awesome.

It’s…okay. The special sauce really wasn’t that special or impressive. Not terrible, but just not«Oh, this is way better than what I usually use on my fries!» sorta thing. We had hotdogs and chili cheese fries. Everything was cooked well and tasted okay. Service wasn’t terrible, wasn’t amazing and a bit pricy for the amount of food we got. There just isn’t a good reason to come here if you don’t live near or attend ODU as there are comparable, if not better places for hotdogs and burgers in the area. Based on the reviews, we were expecting to be wowed and were left wondering what most of the fuss was about.

As an ODU student, Perfectly Frank is definitely one of my favorite places to eat on campus. I always find myself here with friends in between or after classes for a quick bite to eat. My go-to order is a cheeseburger with half fries. The cheeseburger and fries pretty much match the quality of it’s price, but what makes it special for me is the sauce that they make there. Love it with everything! Basically, this place is fast and cheap. Perfect for any college student, including myself.

Love love love coming here. When I’m out in Norfolk I always try to stop by here for a quick bite or just chilling with friends. It’s located near the Ted Constant Center. Parking is free on Sundays, but the rest of the week you usually have to make sure you have some spare change for the parking meters. I’m usually here for 30 mins-hour. Franks is a small place. Directed towards a college demographic, with food prices are are around 5 dollars and less. The specialize in hotdogs and burgers. But they also have sandwiches and gyros as well. They also serve breakfast in the morning, I still have to try that out. I always get their NY hotdog with sauerkraut and relish and Cheeseburger with jalapeño peppers & fried egg. SOO good. Don’t come here if you’re trying to watch your figure! I’ve also tried their gyro which is not had for what you pay. They also serve milkshakes, root beer, and beer here as well. They have tvs to watch. I like people that work here too. Usually the same servers. Everyone seems close and knows what their doing. They are attentive as always keeping an eye out for you as you eat. The décor ranges from sarcastic stickers, local business ads, sassy signs. I like coming here just to read them. Franks will always hit the spot, never disappoints! This is the joint to bring your friends to catch up or bring yourself on a solo date.

I wish this place was around when I was student at ODU. Perfectly good greasy ass food that is suitable during the day or before/after an event in the ODU area. I’ve tried their spicy NY hot dogs and have had some of their burgers served all the way. Definitely add some bacon to the mix. They even serve alcohol. Prices are quite reasonable. There are plenty of food options on this block but this is probably your cheapest bet. If you’re not tailgating for a football game and don’t care to drop $ 10 at the basketball game then this is your spot to check out while on campus.
