This is where I will come from now on. Jessikah was so great helping me. I have lost a lot of hair because of medical issues and am trying to grow it back and she was great talking me though different products and techniques. I’m so glad I found this place. My cut came with a scalp massage and hot towel wrap. Absolutely amazing.

Such a great experience. I got my blonde hair done and I’m so glad I’ve found the right place to do it. Being Asian with dark hair, Jessikah changed my hair color in a day! I finally found the hair salon. A happy customer. Thanks Jessikah.

I booked an appointment with Jessica and am excited to have found my stylist! I got an amazing head and hand massage while she applied my hair masque. She then gave me a perfect haircut… Exactly what I asked for. They have a regular customer with me and I’ve already referred my mom and sister!

I went there for a massage. It was the worst massage I ever had. She played what sounded like 90’s rock music with female vocals. It was so terrible but the volume was low so I was trying not to pay attention and relax but then she turned it up really loud so I couldn’t ignore it. It was not relaxing at all. I don’t think she had a very good massage technique either. A lot of it was through the sheet and it just overall wasn’t good. Usually when I get a massage I’m like «oh I never want this to end!» But I was perfectly fine with it being over in this case. It was also too brightly lit and the massage table was hard. On a positive note the staff was friendly and changed my appointment to 20 min later than the original one since I was late due to the tunnel being closed which I really appreciated

I got the Brazilian Blowout with Jessikah and was very pleased. First off, Jessikah is super skilled and has done this for years. Brazilian Blowout is kind of new for the Norfolk area so I was nervous I was her guinea pig. But actually, Jessikah worked in Houston with all types and textures of hair and has so much experience. I was thrilled because she came from such a diverse area and I have Indian hair so I wanted to make sure she had experience with that. She definitely did :-) I don’t understand how Brazilian Blowouts aren’t work popular here with all of the humidity. Jessikah also gave amazing and realistic advice about products and maintenance. If you have frizzy hair you want to tame and still keep your curls and waves, get the Brazilian blowout! Jessikah delivers :-)

There are a couple of things I will say about this place. 1. It’s actually really nice looking. 2. When I came here for a massage I waited for over 1.5 hours!!! Now that being said. When I was finally seen the guy who did my massage was very good. In response to me waiting so long they gave me an extra 30 minutes.

I highly recommend this salon!
First off, Great customer service! I loved the texts for appt confirmation and reminder!
Secondly, I loved the ambience; everyone was stylish, approachable and conversational!
Lastly, I had a fantastic experience here and like I told Felicity, my hairdresser, I had started to shy away from salons in Norfolk and have started going out to vb for cuts (still w/​no satisfaction) until now! I’m so glad to have given Norfolk one last try!
What I had done: hair cut, style, blow dry. I opted for a look with volume and Felicity skillfully cut layers, balancing them with a trim and completed the look with a blowout.
Tips: Bring change for meter parking; near Bodega/Baxter’s/456 fish

My husband was sweet in purchasing a Groupon for 60 minute Swedish massage at Platinum Salon. I arrived only 2 minutes early for my massage because of weather, and the parking garage being further than intended. This, I realize, is a no-​no for being a first time customer because of the paper work and I realized my massage my be cut short (although any other massage I’ve ever been to has never penalized me for being late because they typically scheduled 15 – 30 minutes in between appointments for a buffer/​resetting the room) When I got there, I had the bar code from the gift I received ready to go so we would be quick to set up. They were incapable of using it this way, because of a lack of technology. So I had to spend the extra time going through my husband’s groupon account so they could press the «redeem» button. It’s the only way they knew how to redeem it. Afterwards I went and sat down, waiting for a therapist at 12:07. No one came to get me until almost 12:20. I quickly undressed and the massage didn’t get started until closer to 12:25. I was certain they would go over 1:00 since I was only responsible for 7 min of being late. He finished at 12:59, not even 1:00.
As far as the massage goes, he did not use any oils. He used only his bare hands, which was uncomfortable at first, and then his palms began to get sweaty, which was just disgusting. He only worked on my skin directly, on my back and very briefly on my arms, and my feet. He massaged my legs, very briefly through the sheet by just pressing on my legs some. I know this is a technique used after an area is completed with direct skin massage, but he didn’t even do that. He also told me I had «stress hormone» in my upper back, which is completely unable to be detected externally. Overall, I was very disappointed. Probably the worst massage experience I’ve had. He also talked, the entire time. It’s very uncomfortable to tell someone to be quiet, but if I wanted him to stop talking, I suppose I could’ve just asked him to stop.

So, I had originally wrote a review for Platinum after being upset about how I emailed them for an appointment and never heard back. Not a week later, someone emailed me after reading that review and wanted to right the problem we had, so I made an appointment with Barbie. After spending a lot of time looking for someone to cut my short hair, and do it right, I am so happy to say I’ve found my one and only salon. The atmosphere inside is welcoming and spirited. Great rocker style, I was drawn in immediately. I was offered snacks and beverages, then Barbie went right to work. Her talent snipping my short hair right was only made better by her great personality. I was so happy to have come in and found my go to stylist, I made an appointment for next month, cut and color. Happy to be a regular!

I have never had someone take as much care on a manicure or pedicure than Danielle did today. Her free hand design is flawless! She took care around a few blisters and still took care of every trouble spot I have. I’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful place to get your Hair and nails done. I even have an appt coming for a massage and I got a free tan with my service! Great specials every week. Just a great place to go and enjoy getting your nails done with a girlfriend, you even get a glass of wine or beer if you like.
