Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Ordered the California Chicken Club flatbread… it’s a little bland but it’s not terrible. The line is quick but the food preparation and smoothie making time is absolutely atrocious.
There’s inflatable sandals hanging from the ceiling with rope. It looks pretty terrible.

First off I am Tropical Smoothies #1 fan lol so I called this location 20 minutes before closing to put an order in and they took care of me. Jamaican Jerk wrap no onions for Hubby, Strawberry Limeade, and also an Avocolada. I arrived 10 minutes before closing and my order was ready. They have some of the best employees! They are always energetic and upbeat. And importantly enough I’ve never had to ask that my order be re-​made. Keep up the good work !

I’ve come into this location numerous times before, usually the only issues are with young staff chit chatting causing you to wait longer. Tonight was a different story. I walk in with at least 15min until close. The customers that ordered ahead of me walked in the same time I did. When it’s my turn I’m informed that the employee making the food has closed the food station as of the customers ahead of me. I left without purchasing anything. That is horrible customer service. There is no reason to close down your food production before the closing of business. I will be sending a complaint to corporate as well.

This is the only tropical smoothie location (that I know of) that doesn’t allow you to add your own protein. not a fan.

Overall good experience. I never had them before and decided to give them a shot. I started the shred diet so I’m constantly counting calories etc. I asked for nutritional information and was supplied with a spreadsheet, which I am thankful for. The Acai berry with Splenda was bomb. Pricing is a little too much but I’d probably pay it again.

Luckily I ordered to go because there is no way I’d eat here. The blenders are so loud you can’t even here to order let alone eat in peace. The cashier is practically whispering then looking annoyed when nobody can hear her. She stopped 3 times while taking my order to do other things then got the order wrong. Girl passing out the made food also whispered the names of the customers and then walked off leaving all the customers to guess who the food belonged to. When my food was called it was on the counter with two other to go orders and when another customer and I questioned the employee as to who’s food was who’s she just squeezed them and tried to convince us it was ours. Luckily the other customer and I checked and of course they were wrong. Food was okay as usual. Like the food but for the hassle in the future I’ll pick a different location.

First, I have to agree with the previous reviews, Jamba Juice is superior to Tropical Smoothies, but that is not why I am giving this location 2 stars. I have certain expectations from a Tropical Smoothies Café, and this location has never delivered. I have both dined in and ordered to-​go several times at this location, and almost every time I have had an incident. My biggest issue is that the staff and management do nothing to stop the local hood rats from coming in when they have no business being in there. On two separate instances, I saw an obvious drug deal go down by the bathrooms and then I had a women who was mentally ill scream at me in the store while I was waiting for my order. It’s safe to say that I would not recommend dining at this location.

People keep talking about the smoothies being too sweet. But just order it without turbinado. Don’t ask to add Splenda, it’s the same crap.
I ordered the Acai Berry Boost. Taste good without it. Plus, I figure your trying to eat healthy in the first place.
Had the Chicken Pesto Flatbread and it was also good.
$ 8 bucks for all. Not a bad deal I think.

After working with someone who previously worked at TS and would tell us how much sugar was added to the smoothies, totally busting the thought that smoothies are ‘healthy’ to me, anytime I go to TS, I order my smoothies with splenda. Honestly, the only time I come here is when I have a BOGO coupon… I’m not one to spend $ 5 on a drink ;-/​and I don’t care much for the sandwiches.

I love this place! It is excellent and the staff is so friendly. I was a little disappointed in the food that is served here, but I am a huge fan of the smoothies. They are the perfect pick-​me-​up on a hot summer day!

For those who understand, this is no Jamba Juice. The smoothies are decent and will do when I’m craving something with peanut butter and banana. The sandwiches/​wraps are okay, but overpriced. I give it the three stars because it’s the only place of its type in the area (if you know a better place, please let me know!)

I guess this place has more gimmick than shine! I just don’t care for it anymore, possibly b. c I used to way there often, and now I’m tired of overpriced wraps and smoothies. At this particular location, the original owner sold, she was very active in her workplace, always on site. Kept the chain oiled! Ever since she left its less fun, less flare, and the food kinda went with her. Everything is prefab anyways, take the $ 11 dollars you’ll spend, and get a real meal at a steak house!

I’m not sure what the obsession with this place is but all I can say is man… I miss my Jamba Juice.
We ordered a Jetty Punch and a Sunrise Sunset smoothie and with both I all I could taste was the splenda. These smoothies taste like chemically sweetened sports drinks — yuck.
I also unfortunately tasted the buffalo chicken wrap — they literally drowned the wrap is the buffalo sauce. It was impossible to eat not only because it was so acidic but also because it dripped everywhere.
While the staff was nice and they did move the line fast (given the amount of customers) I won’t be back. I’m not sure I can call this place healthy as it’s not organic and tries to cover up the «healthy» flavor with processed ingredients.
