We have had nothing but great experiences with Steve Sherman here in Rhode Island. He has been our inspector on 3 properties to date. He arrives on the scheduled day at the designated time. He is thorough and always happy to answer any of our questions. Every inspection has been top notch. Hiring Steve is like having a friend in the inspection business. He totally watches out for our best interest. Jim and Sue

I met Mr. Sherman because he was inspecting a home next door and he gave me his card; I played phone tag with Mr. Sherman for two weeks. I finally made an appt. with Sherman Inspection for Wednesday, September 11, at 12:00 noon. I told Mr Sherman I needed an inspection before this weekend. At 1:00, on our scheduled day, I called Mr. Sherman; no answer. At 1:30 I called Mr. Sherman; no answer. I called 2 more times. No answer. I decided to email him to ask if he was coming about 2:15. However, he did email me back right away scolding me because our apt was for next Wed. the 18th and he wrote he had emailed me, text me,(he doesn’t have my cell phone number) and called me to switch the apt. and I had AGREED to the 18th apt! He must have mixed me up with another sucker. He first told me the charge was $ 400 for an inspection. When he emailed me to confirm Sept. 11th apt. the charge was $ 425. Oh, and he said family troubles was the reason he changed the apt to the 18th and I should remember that. He lied to me and he wanted to make me feel guilty! Scary guy! Please do not make an apt. with Steve Sherman. He is the perfect example of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Eek! is an understatement. :(

I broke my no-more-yelping rule to get the word out here… Hire at your own risk. We tried twice with Steve and we were stood up both times with no advance notice. Now my wife and I have to scramble to find someone qualified who can inspect the home we want to buy and do it in an urgent rush. Yikes.
