Great place for cheap tools. But beware you get what you pay for in almost every case. $ 3 flashlight that straps to your head is excellently priced. Too bad the battery compartment lid is made of such cheep plastic it failed installing the battery. A $ 2 collection of wire brushes looked great till you use them and they fall apart or bend so horribly they may as well be steel wool. Some things are good just stay away from the overly cheep items. And visually inspect what you buy carefully. Return those items that fail. Keep your receipts.

I shop here often enough and buy quite a bit of stuff. Harbor Freight’s quality has seemed to get better and better. Most of the tools sold there are on par with brand name tools features and quality. Manager Dennis is a superb guy. Went out of his way to help me with a heavy item(welder) when I had my two year old son with me. Dragged it up front for me, than put it in the car. Another manager isn’t as nice. He is an Indian gentleman that gave me a hard time about an open box. Found a 50 foot air hose reel in the clearance section with the box very damaged. The item had no price. When I asked how much, I was told it couldn’t have been in clearance and only the box was bad. He went on to say he could sell it for 70.00 same as the new ones. So I took a new one in perfect box for 70.00 only to come back a week later and find that same damaged box reel back in clearance for FOURTYDOLLARS! So much for helping out the customer! Only bad experience I’ve had in this store or it would be 5 stars across the board.

Nothing thrills me more than to shop at a hardware/tool store and get great merchandise for really great prices. Yeah, the tools aren’t Craftsman or Snap-on… but they look and feel just like them. If I’m not mistaken, it comes with a lifetime warranty.
