I reminisce back to when I first came to the United States. I was in the third grade living in a small suburban town. It was way back when children were allowed to be children, and they could actually walk home from school by themselves. And when the boys bothered me while walking home, I would often say, «I know Karate» and give a false kick. «False» I say, because I had never set my foot in a Karate class, and I didn’t know the difference between Karate from TaeKwonDo. But this act would have the boys running, and I would gloat over the power I felt since I was pretty powerless otherwise; not having the full command of the English language. And so, when I noticed my son being bullied during a play date, I quickly enrolled him in a Karate class. This place is not that impressive when you enter. There are two halls where classes are held; And the twenty somewhat years old old building has no physical beauty to it. However, after a few months of my children attending this place, I can attest to the fact that this facility is a great place to send kids. I know they have adult classes, too; But I am not too familiar with them. Roseann and her husband, both who own and run this place, are both just superb. Roseann is not just«fake friendly» to get your business. She actually cares about each individual student and gives personal attention to each learner. She is totally dedicated to teaching, and opens her facility during the weekends for extra activities. Furthermore, AFA often gives out promotional offers where you can try out their classes for free or for little cost, before signing up. I think the prices of the classes are pretty average compared to the other martial arts places, but you can attend as many classes as you would like during the week, which is a huge plus. There is no limit to how many classes you can attend. I know I don’t have much experience with Karate on the whole, so I can’t compare this place with other martial arts places, but I highly recommend AFA for their dedicated teachers.
