Had a great experience today! Really different breakfast spot! Had morning tacos with charizo and fresh pico… Very Good! Matthew took good care of us as well. Will be back!

Much to my surprise, the Twisted Citrus is actually a breakfast/brunch spot, and NOT a cold pressed juice bar! Had I not been playing around on Unilocal while next door at Grinders, I’d probably never have found this little gem. So don’t let the name fool you, this place does food, and they do it right! When you walk in, you’re taken from North Canton to West 25th street in Cleveland, or Short North in Columbus. The décor is bright, vibrant and generally«cheery». If there was such thing as shabby chić in a breakfast joint, this is it. The only thing that I found a little odd, was that the tables have a sheet of plexiglass over them(which is no big deal) except they’re about an inch and a half too big on all sides. So there are some REALLY sharp edges hanging on the corners. If I had kids, I’d be really nervous about an injury! The service is always top notch. I’ve been here four times now, and the service has been consistently good throughout. Now, let’s talk food! To be completely honest, I’ve gotten the same thing every time I’ve been here, because it’s just that damn tasty. It’s called the Cowboy Benedict, and is one of several Benedict offerings. It comes with a perfectly poached egg on top of a sweet cornbread muffin. Then it’s topped with a spicy and savory hollandaise sauce and thinly sliced jalapeño peppers with a pinch of paprika. On the side you’ll get their«twisted potatoes» which have white potatoes, sweet potatoes, and some veggies. I pair it with a large chocolate milk and VOILA! Breakfast nirvana. The Cowboy Benny is so wonderful I’ve yet to try anything else. I will say however, all their other dishes LOOK delicious, I just can’t tell you from my own experience. As prices go, I think they’re quite reasonable considering the quality and taste. I would absolutely recommend you give the Twisted Citrus a try next time you’re looking for something a little different, and completely delicious.

Best lobster Benny around, so delicious. Also love the cinnamon roll pancakes, Bloody Mary drinks, and a lot of other things on the menu. Very nice place and kid friendly as well, highly recommend!

After reading the reviews we had high hopes and maybe the high hopes set our expectations already too far north. We ordered the hangover pasta which read like a dream come true but upon arrival was essentially day old cold pasta(unseasoned) loaded with RAW onion, Topped with an overly runny(alleged) poached egg and a few pieces of spinach. For color there were also two slices of tomato on the side. Whoever named this dish has never been hungover because it’s actually the opposite of any cure or craving. I want the pasta described on the menu. We also ordered the Classic Benny. Meh. Consistent theme of under cooked poached eggs, Overcooked ham and raw onion in the potatoes. Our server came to remove our nearly full plates and never asked if we liked our food or if everything was ok. Coffee refills never offered despite empty cups. I guess the take away is if you’re a breakfast place at least have a strong poached egg… Décor is clean and crisp. Food is not well executed despite a great concept.

This is without a doubt my favorite place for breakfast. It’s a cute modern restaurant with unique menu items. My grandchildren absolutely love it and I’m always amazed at the quality of their food.

Awesome array of breakfast options. I got the funky monkey drunky pancakes. Prailine sauce, walnuts and banana. Everything was very tasty.

Stopped on a Saturday for brunch. There were 4 of us and it was the first time there for all of us. We were seated right away and water was brought pretty quickly. That was a nice touch, as I always get water and sometimes feel like I have to beg for it. The bright, clean, crisp interior is a nice change from the norm. The menu is extensive. That’s where the«good» stops. The service was pleasant but painfully slow. Tables near us that ordered after us were finished eating before we even received our food. We ordered straight off the menu with no variations, so I’m not sure what happened. My omelette was way over cooked. My 3 table mates found their dishes to be fine but nothing extraordinary. Prices are a bit much for the food served. I may give it another try but I’m not in a hurry.

A bit over priced for the quality and amount of food! Atmosphere is nice. Service is mediocre at best.

Restaurant is vey clean and organized. Waitress was very polite and helpful with menu questions. I had the Santa Fe omelette which was great with fresh jalapeño. Service was great and food came quickly and I would recommend the omelette and restaurant.

I have eaten here several times since opening weekend, and saved review until i had tried several menu items. I have tried a few Benedicts, and lately keep returning to the Bahn Mi sandwich. The menu is limited to ubiquitous«brunch» offerings with varying«twists» on classics. The hollandaise is excellent, and the poached eggs are generally cooked perfectly. The Bahn Mi sandwich is a nice change of pace, and is the standout item on the menu for me, except for the mixed breakfast potatoes, which are the best in town. Portions are reasonable, and prices are just higher than reasonable. There is a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar, which frankly is not worth leaving your seat for. I asked for a beer during the weekend, but my server explained that their liquor Iicense does not allow beer sales. However, this law must not have applied to the gentleman she was obviously… romantically involved with, as he was served multiple beers by the same server within minutes of my request. This particular incident put an admittedly bad taste in my mouth, and I tried to save my review until it dissipated. Obviously, I may be still slightly upset about it. Presentation and plating varies widely between meticulous and frat house kegs & eggs parties. The service oscillates between friendly, disinterested, and obnoxious. «Obnoxious» is the defining word from all my experiences. Everything just tries too hard. Nothing is more obnoxious than the interior. Bright yellows and greens scream«look how west coast chic we are» and the white furniture looks like an abortion clinic furnished by the Pottery Barn. Signs and posters dot the walls, conveying quotes, quips and adages that read like tattoos on eighteen year old girls. The loud, peppy music lends to the unbearable… brightness of the dine-in experience. The food is good enough to keep me coming back for the most masochistic brunch experiences of my life. Not the best breakfast in town(see Samantha’s on the Strip), but certainly worth checking out for yourself. Bring sunglasses to guard against the operating room lighting, as well as your inevitable eye rolling.

The best word I can think of to describe this place is, eeehhhhh. Everything is pretty much ok at best. Cute interior though! The food is a little overpriced for the quality. My chorizo was very dry, nearly no cheese in my omelette and the side of avocado I ordered never came. When I asked for it the second time, I received 4 tiny slivers of avocado that were so hard I had to cut them with a knife! But the strangest thing to me was that the menu basically only allows you to order things EXACTLY as they specify, with no changes or substitutions. In other words, you cannot get something exactly how you want it. You can get it how their cook wants to make it. Like I said, strange. My experience wasn’t awful, but again– everything was just eeehhhh. If you’re deciding between Twisted Citrus and Samantha’s like I ws … just go to Samantha’s.

Ok so the name is a bit deceiving, thinking this was a juice/smoothie bar my daughter and I quickly turned around at the door when we realized it wasn’t. However my boyfriend and I did stop back today to try it out and ½ of us were really happy! I had the«some like it hot» omelet. It’s sausage stuffed banana peppers with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce. It was delicious! The toast that it comes with is the best toast I’ve ever eaten, I could have had just toast and been satisfied. I did get a side of bacon as well. I will say it’s a bit pricey, but your not getting your typical eggs hashbrowns and toast, this is delicious funky filling breakfast so as the saying goes you get what you pay for. My boyfriend on the other hand had the something bayou voodoo I think it was described as «a dozen» blackened shrimp, tobasco eggs, sausage and jack cheese in a creole cream sauce. First off there were about 7 shrimp, not a dozen, also they weren’t blackened… and actually they had nothing on them at all… they looked like boiled shrimp which was really disappointing. Between the tasteless shrimp and the creole cream sauce which was very watery… it kind of ruined the omelet, boyfriend was less than impressed. We will be back, can’t let one bad egg spoil the whole dozen! Can’t wait to try one of their«Benny’s» they looked delish! Bottom line come with an empty tummy and a full wallet!

Drove past several times, and never wanted to stop because of the ugly curtains that showed from the outside… I assumed it was going to be ugly and dirty inside. I was very pleasantly surprised! The interior is very fresh and lively! The curtains need to be removed. If they feel it necessary to block the sun, maybe a nice blind would do the trick… however, sunshine is always nice in a breakfast restaurant. Regarding the food… Very nice presentation in tasted pretty good but very overpriced for the portion. Coffee was $ 2.80! Also, my adult son could not find anything on the menu that was just a «regular» breakfast meal… everything was a little too girlie and definitely would not fill a hungry man up! I doubt I’ll go back… needs to appeal to more than women.

We recently relocated our business to the area and our staff enjoys going to breakfast together on Friday mornings. Tasked with finding our new«spot», we decided to try the Twisted Citrus this morning before work. We are all glad we did! It was busy this morning, but even with the rush of morning traffic coming and going, our waitress was very attentive, our seating was roomy and the best part — the food was amazing! We have found our new«spot». We highly recommend the Twisted CItrus. Go give it a try, you will be glad you did!

Second visit in and this place is great! Atmosphere is bright and inviting like breakfast should be. Food is delicious, portions are perfect, menu items are refreshingly interesting, and coffee hits the spot. Our service today was a tad disappointing as the server was pretty much nonexistent but I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to an off day. Other than that, everyone is cheerful.

Only thing I was really impressed with was our waitress. She was super nice and helpful. The food was okay, but what really ruined it was the rigidity of the owners/chefs(not sure who makes the menu). Most of the menu says no substitutions, which I think is a fine rule. However, what they really mean is they are not willing to make any changes to a item period(the waitress told me this is especially true on weekends when the chef refuses to look at anything written on the ticket but the item). What about people with dietary restrictions or who don’t like breakfast meats(me!)??? Why is it such a big deal for me not to get chorizo on the breakfast nachos? It is actually saving them money by charging me the same price and not getting what is probably the most expensive part of the dish. The waitress and the fact that the food was not bad are the reason for the 3 stars, but I would not likely go back because I would rather go to a place where they are willing to work with their customers. And something else-I liked the color scheme and most of the décor(the chairs, mugs, place mats, etc), but they have these plastic covers on their tables that are practically a safety hazard. The concept is good, but they need to do something to make them stay in place because they are easy to shift and the corners are SHARP! My husband caught his leg on a corner getting into the booth and he was not pleased.

We watched this place being built and initially we were fooled by the name twisted citrus we expected some sort of smoothie or juice bar. So when it opened we were pleasantly surprised to see it was a breakfast joint. We walked in and were seated immediately the inside décor is very warm and welcoming. Our server came over right after we were seated to take our drink order. It took us a few minutes to browse over the menu(honestly so many things I wanted to try) my husband and I both decided on breakfast tacos(I got mine without sausage and egg) Good came out fast and was very good!!! Hubby said you could tell the chorizo was fresh! Breakfast for the 2 of us was only 20.00 and this place by FAR blows away any chain breakfast Things that I thought were really cool: Saturday’s and Sunday’s they have a make your own Bloody Mary bar. Also, they have fresh squeezed orange juice not the icky concentrated stuff you get at every other breakfast place. Also, I’m presuming the owner went around to every table and checked in with guests. But there were a few things that I thought I’d mention for other Unilocalers… there’s no kids menu. While there were a few children in the restaurant(maybe it’s because our kids were spending the day at grandmas) maybe they have a separate one? Also, they have it marked several places on the menu no substitutions on anything(I was able to get my breakfast tacos without meat and egg) but Ex) I don’t think they will let you sub sausage for bacon. Also, I noticed they had black beans on the menu I would love to see some kind of breakfast wrap w black beans potatoes avocado(for vegetarians like me!!!) If your looking for a breakfast/brunch spot def check this place out!
