Red Carpet Inn

Stayed here for a wedding because it was about half as much as the nearby Holiday Inn. My overall impression: this is a great place to have an adulterous affair with a person you don’t really like, and feel extremely ashamed about. Perfect atmosphere for that. Feel dirty on the inside and outside all at once.
Stains on basically everything. No fixtures appear to have been updated in 40 years or so, which I assume is when the place was constructed. I don’t throw around the word «disgusting» a lot, but I didn’t feel much cleaner after showering. The shower incidentally has a really old hand soap dispenser in it, but no soap in the dispenser.
No apparent differentiation between storage and other uses in common areas. Is it a janitor’s closet? Is it the hallway? Yes!
I’m no prude, but even the ironing board they lent me had stains all over it. I mean, where do they even come from?
To be fair, I can’t fault the staff, they were perfectly nice.
2 stars, because, also, to be fair, the bed was noticeably more comfortable than the one at Holiday Inn (which I slept on the next night). Strange but true. Comfy bed.
