Terrible customer service. I walked in and was not acknowledged at all. It seems to be that type of establishment where they treat their regulars nicely and don’t take kindly to new clients. I literally wasted an hour of my time hoping to get seen but someone who came in after me was seen first. I understand that it might be by appointment only but if that’s the case, have the decency to say that rather than let me waste an hour of my time listening to «trap music.»

My sides were cool, but when it came to getting the line that divides the comb over he fucked me up, dude seemed like a newbie to be honest. He took way longer than he needed to take. Not a bad shop, but if that guy isn’t trained properly why is he cutting hair? Don’t let him learn on the job, fucked my shit up, now i have to go to another barber to fix it.

Now here’s a barber shop I would recommend to my brother. If I had one. No but for real, the tapers, fades, and cuts don’t get any better. My man is Jim but everyone here can cut better than anyone in LA.
Prices are same as any where with talent. $ 25 for a cut but I usually throw an extra 5 for my man.

This was THE WORST hair cut I’ve ever got in my LIFE. They hacked my hair up. I say that because the first barber messed up so bad that his colleague had to try to fix it and it still came out looking like shit. This is the worst barbershop and I’m highly disappointed and I’m never coming back and i suggest NO ONE go here until all them go back to barber school.

Recommended a friend of mine, so I’m writing this on his behalf!
Corey moved here from Tulsa and came to me desperate for a referral for a «good place to get my hair cut.» After listening to what he was looking for and doing my usual Unilocal scouting, I figured Hi Life would be a good bet.
I was right! (As usual, just ask my husband…) and Corey came back looking fresh. He’s been getting compliments on his cut every day since. In his words, the guy who cut his hair was «like a ninja.» So thank you, Ninja Friends, now Corey has his new LA barber!

This place is my go to destination when I need a fresh fade and a line-​up. My go to guy is Rahk, but I’ve gotten a cut from Kelli before as well. I have never left that place unsatisfied with a hair cut. If I notice anything off or not quite the way I like it, they don’t pout about it or give me attitude, they just address the issue. If I had one complaint its that sometimes you got a wait a little bit even if you have an appointment, but this is only on busy days and that just comes with the service because you’re never too sure how log each individual customer is going to take, so it’s reasonable.

I have been getting my hair cut in this shop for as long as I can remember! My guy is Kells, the skill set and professionalism in this shop is in its own league. Woody, Nat, Rahk, Jimmy and of course Kells all have what you need when it comes to looking your best and the style you desire. If you need a cut, you need to visit the barbers at Hi Life! Greatest shop ever. I’ve been going here for years. I tried other places in emergency situations. No thanks. I’ll wait for one of the guys here. Professional. On time. I don’t have time to wait an hour for a cut. Make an appointment and get in and out.

Bad service! Asked for a foehawk and the brother thought I said Mohawk cuz dude was busy talkin to the kid who plays the music and sits on his ads. I ended up having to shave me head down. fugly brother still expected me to pay… I paid and tipped. We all know dude NEEDS IT!!! and here’s another tip! Open your ears and shut your mouth when you have a client!!!

Worst haircut ever!!!
The barbers here are so into their dancing that even if they could hear you over the super loud music they’d still mess up your hair. I asked for a two on the side and a little off the top, instead I got an uneven two everywhere and a razor cut scar on my forehead. Dancing and handling razors do not mix!!!

I’ve been on search for a great barber Shop in the noho area for some time now, I found a few that are worth going back to until I found hi life. The staff is super friendly and talented, usally there is one or 2 barbers at other barbershop that can cut. At hi life everyone can cut hair properly, if your looking for great barbers and a great atmosphere definitely go to hi life!

Been coming here for a while now! The interior is nice, the staff is even nicer. If your new to the area this place is a great spot to go too.
Whether you wanna watch tv on the bigscreen or listen to jams blastin threw the place its an overall great vibe.
They have a parking lot but i usually park on the street just in case its filled it may be a hassle to try to do a U-​turn in the lot.
