There sushi is a bit overpriced, and the place has«B» rating. The service was good, maybe because there was only few people dining besides us on a Wednesday evening(not there busiest time I guess). I believe I will not go back there

Great late night happy hour for food and drinks. I am OBSESSED with their spicy tuna crispy rice, firecracker shrimp and ramen! Their sushi is just so fresh! I was a big anti sea-food person but now CRAVE this restaurants spicy tuna crispy rice! I’m hooked!

Not the best quality but not bad either. Some stuff is good. The red blossom roll is my favorite. Other stuff is just ok.

Had a take out order from here this week. When I opened my takeout box, to my dismay I found a short black hair on one of my sushi pieces. Although not proud to admit, I tried to eat the other pieces(I was hungry!), but the sushi just didn’t taste fresh. I don’t know if it was psychosomatic stomach turning or actually poor quality sushi, or the fact I had it for take out. I originally wasn’t going to leave a review– I didn’t call the restraint to complain(I was at work when I made my discovery and nothing could be done at that point) but I am still just totally grossed out and disappointed I am leaving this review to remind myself to avoid this sushi joint in the future

It’s been 3 years since the last time we tried this restaurant. Back then I gave it 2 stars due to my sub-par experience. Today we were walking by and decided to place a to-go order because we figured that it wasn’t so terrible that we couldn’t give it another shot. Bad move. 1) We were told our order would take 10 minutes… it actually took closer to 25 minutes! It looked like our order was forgotten about). 2) The. Worst. UNI. Ever.(And we ordered two orders because it’s our favorite thing to order in all sushi restaurants) Just disgusting Uni. Smelled funky. My wife and I each tried a small taste and both spit it out and threw the rest in the trash. I hope it was just shitty Uni and we were not served some spoiled Uni. 3) Albacore Special Roll… soggy, lacking flavor, hastily put together. One of the worst sushi meals we’ve ever had. Never again.

If you are looking for a great deal on sushi… this is an excellent place to start. The daily happy hour special is awesome and you can get a lot of food at a great price. Parking sucks, so they lose a star for that… but… it is LA so you gotta respect that at least it is free. Highly recommend the Superman Burrito and the Vivid Roll as two of my personal favourites.

Been here twice, both times were on point. Fish seems to be very fresh. Restaurant is pretty tiny, makes me a little claustrophobic but the food and service are worth it! Will definitely be back.

I ordered the sashimi bibimbap for pick up, and it was AMAZING! The order was ready in 10 mins, and the girls working were so sweet! Plus? Parking was very easy with the lot! The sashimi, black rice, spring mix, veggies, possibly squid? was so delicious mixed with the Korean spicy paste… I definitely recommend to anyone having a sushi/Korean food craving!

Unilocal100REVIEWCHALLENGE2016 — 13⁄100 My hubby and I had major sushi cravings and the place we wanted to try out was super packed so we decided to give this place a shot. They let us in even though the place was closing in 30 minutes. The place is small but very homey. Employees were very friendly and patient as we looked at the menu. Hubby and I finally decided to order the Super Tiger Roll, Baked Lobster Roll, and Unagi Bowl. Super Tiger Roll: In: shrimp tempura, crab meat, avocado, cucumber. Out: spicy tuna, shrimp, avocado. Really good. We didn’t expect the sushi size to be so big. Baked Lobster Roll: They really hooked it up! Usually they skimp on the lobster, but they place put so much lobster we had extra left over to put on our other sushi rolls. Unagi Bowl: At this point we were stuffed, but just like all the other times… my husband over did it with the food. Yet we still managed to finish it because the eel was cooked perfectly. I wish we tried it with the black rice though. Will definitely go back. Especially since it’s so close to home. 4 stars Sushi Nan!

I always so happy to write good reviews , My favorite sushi place for many years now, –I usually come during lunch time or when happy hour just stars, which is around 3 pm, –Their lunch specials are real good deal for that huge portion I’m sure everybody agrees with me who had lunch here –They are pretty busy during lunch time, Also they look busy making a lot of carry out –Heard they deliver their food too, which is awesome –Service is always attentive and quick

Came here after noticing how packed it was every time I drove by and am glad I did. The food and service were both good, and definitely a place to visit occasionally. The sushi was pretty good, although I’m a bit spoiled by Komasa, the drive to downtown just isn’t my idea of fun on a week night. The spicy tuna roll was a pass, I’ve never been a huge fan anyways but the one here just didn’t sit well. The California roll was delicious, likely due to the fact that it was overflowing with mayo. The baked lobster roll was my favorite sushi we got here, although nothing I’d consider healthy. The albacore was just ok and probably not going to be a regular for it(I prefer mine with a lightly seared outside and no special sauce). We were pleasantly surprised to find they offer hot plates(forgot the name) and have been back for the spicy pork for take out a couple of times. Better to get it there, as they serve it in the bowl they cook it in and the outside gets crispy. Yum Overall a satisfying dining experience, we’ll be back.

For really, real… Best sushi I’ve had in this phase of my life. I would drive here everyday if I didn’t have a family I had to cook dinner for. The only thing is. ya girl got a family, car payments, and a house so I only fux with Izakaya for happy hour. If you order as much food as I do when you come here you want that 30% off, trust! Their happy hour is from 15:00– 17:00. Those hours are pretty fukt up but the place is already pretty tight so imagine all them broke ass people like myself lining up out the door… NAH! Oh and don’t bring your«Bebe’s kids» ’round here cuz like I stated before the place is small and ain’t nobody trying to hear all that. Toodles and Maruchan Noodles.

Happy hour 30% off from 3 – 5:30pm! Awesome! Overall 3.5 stars but with HH prices and service I bumped it up to a 4. SUSHI: Pink lady(4 stars): Good fish. Albacore Carpaccio(4 stars): Love the crispy onions with it! Volcano Roll(3.5 stars): Good but can’t taste much of the lobster since it’s so fried. A heavy roll. WB roll(3 stars) Tuna roll(4 stars) DESSERT Mango Coconut Gelato Ball(3 stars) ATMOSPHERE: Good sized restaurant. Clean tables. SERVICE(5 stars): Our waitress was really nice and kept up will all of our orders. PARKING: In a small plaza so there’s parking, not a huge amount but we didn’t have a problem. Great choice for Happy Hour!

Its not everyday that I find vegetarian rolls in a sushi menu! Their tempura roll is really good, and their greenland roll is light and vegetable-y. I got way too full eating here!

Came here during lunch and it was pretty packed both inside and in the tiny parking lot. Only had the lunch special bulgogi plate, which comes with quite a bit of food which is nice. Salad, miso soup, seaweed salad, gyoza, rice, a roll, and the bulgogi. The rice and bulgogi were good, and I liked the salad and miso soup. But I have to mention that the California roll that came with the plate was the best California roll I had ever had! Overall for a plate of food for around $ 12 is alright, not too great but not horrible. Service was slow though.

My husband and I were looking for a sushi spot nearby and ended up eating here. We ordered the Hiroshima Boat, which was more than enough for 2 people and could actually be shared between 3 – 4 people. The quality of the sushi was better than we expected. Everything tasted good, including the special rolls, which looked like a sushi«burrito». Service could have been better. The entire staff was friendly, but it was clear that they were understaffed because everything, including water, took too long to come out. My husband and I still think about the sushi boat! We plan on coming back the next time we’re in the area.

I had high hope for this place, and was very disappointed with the outcome. I really don’t enjoy writing bad review, but being a person who loves sushi and chirashi bowls this had to be done. SERVICE: This was great. Very friendly and patiently waiting while we scan through the menu for our order to go. FOOD : Chirashi bowl. Not the best! The cuts of fish were messy especially the yellowtail. You don’t serve the tail part of the yellowtail to your customers. It’s chewy and full of tendons! Also the white fish and the tuna was not fresh at all. Here’s the kicker the rice wasn’t season either. For $ 20 I expected more not a bowl of mess! Unaji Bowl: Didn’t get to try it. Wife did said it was average. She did like the black rice option ! Sorry, but not sure if we’re going to be returning!

Their happy hour 3 – 530 and their location right off the 134 and Cahuenga make this the perfect after work spot! Today we had the Golden roll and Volcano roll. Both were good! Service was friendly and attentive! Easy strip mall parking situation. We will def dine here again.

Toluca Lake must be a saltwater lake because the salmon was excellent. I had the Superman Burrito. Ah yes, it sounds silly and it is definitely NOT ideal for sharing. But it’s riceless and it also tastes amazing with soy sauce. The salmon was really good. It had a ton of flavor and the chunks were easy to bite. Dunk it in da dark sauce and you got melting fish. At least it felt like it melted in your mouth. The tuna was NOT good. It was very stringy and the flavor was lacking. So yeah, don’t get tuna here. I also was not a fan of the yellowtail. So I’d just come for salmon. All in all, I had a pretty filling sushi dinner for ~$ 25 in Toluca Lake of all places. It’s a bit pricey for me, but the server was super nice. Dude, what’s with this sushi place being Korean though? I told my friend I wanted the bibimbop here and he laughed at me. The server is Korean, the cashier is Korean, and the chef is probably Korean(Korean Sushi Fusion?)…
