Joy Dry Cleaners and Tailors

If you want your items ruined this is the place! I took in my sofa slip covers to be dry cleaned. I have had these particular items dry cleaned every summer for the past 10+ years, never had a problem before Joy Cleaners. The slip covers have been shrunk beyond use. They no longer fit my sofa and will have to be replaced. I have always gotten my things back the same size as when I took them in at every other dry cleaners I have ever used. I have no idea what they did but they are ruined.
Buyer beware.

Drove all over NOHO and no one could just do a Press for me and here they never hesitated and took care of me in 10 minutes! The best in NOHO!

I started coming here because the seamstress I used to go to kept hiking up the prices of her services. This is a Mom and Pop joint, literally, and they sure know what they are doing. Alice, the wife, is a seamstress, and Mark, her husband, takes care of the dry cleaning end of business. I come here often because I often need to hem pants, jeans, skirts, etc. For «easy jobs» like shortening any clothing pieces will run between $ 10 and $ 15. Recently, I came in to hem a maxi dress and some khakis for my husband and she had them ready within the week. The kind of stitching looks so perfect as if nothing has been altered. Hopefully they stay around awhile! fyi they do accept debit/​credit but there is a $ 1 surcharge.
