Loren E. Chadima’s Intentional Acting

i love loren! she’s my teacher right now and will always be my teacher! she really knows me as a person and always pushes me to bring myself into the role, because really what makes me different from any other actor? myself! she’s a no bullshit kind of teacher and will call me out whenever i’m slacking off. her 9 questions allows me to measure my progress and really concentrate on the other person instead of concentrating on my nerves. loren’s awesome!

Loren’s simply amazing.
I met her at the SAG conservatory and I’ve been studying with her since.
Her technique is to get you prepared and ready to audition in 5 – 15 minutes by connecting to what you in the present.
At her classes you always do a short physical exercise to get in your body (alexander technique based?), a scene (whether prepared with a scene partner or audition piece you chose) and cold reading. Her classes are usually small and usually have no more than 12 people.
Loren’s also wonderfully warm and really empowers you as an actor. She’s caring and encouraging.
She started having on camera work as well but when I started it was not on camera.
Loren also has children’s classes.
She’s also a director and a writer.
Side Note: the space is beautiful. It’s a gallery as well so there’s magnificent modern, impressionist, sketches and paintings. It seems to change every two weeks. It’s an added plus to look at the wonderful paintings every week as well.
If you take the class just know there’s no cancellation or refund, she’s strict on that so make sure you make all your classes :)
