This is the way church should be. Amazing music, great message and welcoming hospitality. This church is for the left out, the kept out and the checked out. There are many great churches in Los Angeles and this is one you need to add to your list.

Relevant message and fantastic music. Children’s programs are right on point.

I grew up in the south and I’ve been in the church my entire life. I’ve seen plenty of churches that fit the stereotypes about Christians, but this is not one of them. When you walk in, the freshly made coffee sends out a welcoming smell. There is always a group of people ready to welcome you and talk to you about anything. There is also an awesome program called«Starting Point» that lasts only a few weeks and gives you an opportunity to discuss anything about the faith that you’d like. If you have kids, no worries, they have a great child-care that the kids love. If you don’t like church, try Radius. They are some of the most honest and real people you will ever meet. Everyone is open about their struggles and the lead pastor, Joseph, communicates in a way that makes the principles easy to apply to your life. Radius also does an incredible job using artwork to communicate to the people of LA. A few weeks ago when I went a local artist read her own poem as a closing for the service. You don’t see that often at churches and Radius understands that art is a valuable part of human experiences. So, even if you’ve sworn off all churches, check it out. You may find something different and a group of people who offer love, respect, and support.

If church«isn’t your thing» then Radius is a great place to go. After lazily church hopping for a few years, never feeling much connection and certainly never feeling noticed by anyone, I remembered loving pastor Joseph’s way of speaking. He’s intelligent and offers practical encouragement into the every day life of not just the modern Christian, but anyone who just wonders about it all. Radius is small and relatively new. They meet in a small studio in NoHo. Parking is across the street. I’ve never yet gone where someone didn’t intentionally see me and try to engage with me in some way. Nothing intimidating, just the sort of nice connection we can all use. As a result I volunteered with the church after only a month. Something I never do. Radius inspires me to want to be the change I’ve always wished for in other churches. I seriously am loving meeting all the wonderfully flawed and human people of Radius and I encourage anyone even remotely considering trying it out to just take the plunge. Just be sure to follow them on social media for updates on meeting times: RadiusChurchLA on FB, Radius_ChurchLA on Instagram/Twitter.
