Neon Wild

Is neon wild still in business? I made a reservation online but never got a confirmation. I have tried calling at various times on various days the phone just rings and rings. I have tried sending a message thru facebook. I’m nervous because I have a party bus scheduled with 35 guest for a special event.

A gem just across the river in North KC off armour. Free parking across the street. This place was AMAZING. It wasn’t very packed, but if you are there to dance your ass off, it is perfect.
If you went to high school and college during the 90s and 00s, you will love it. The DJ played the greatest hits you know and love and mixed in some new hits, like Fancy by Iggy Azalea.
Drinks are cheap too– on Friday it was $ 2.25 shots, beers, and mixed drinks. Glorious.

I would put 0 stars if that was an option. Worst place ever!!! Its filled with nothing but cougars, and younger guys who want to hook up with woman twice their age because thats all they can get. Buts thats not the worst of it! Do not ever use a credit/​debit card at this place they will charge your card whatever they want! I had one beer (which you cant drink on the dance floor, they will kick you off) and i didnt tip anything cuz that place sucks and the people are rude, so they made 3 charges on my phone. 1 was the cover charge, which they charged for 2 people and it was just me. Then my one drink, and then another for $ 50. I will never never never go back there again. I hope it closes down soon and they put something better in there next to the brewery.

I took a group of 10 people to Neon Wild for a birthday party last Friday night. According to Neon Wild’s website, if you make a reservation for 10 or more people, then you will not be charged a cover. I made a reservation on-​line, and I received a confirmation e-​mail.
When we arrived at Neon Wild, the staff gave us blank stares when I stated that I had a reservation. The staff was not trained, and had no idea how to respond. They refused to honor my reservation and the advertising on their website. Worse, the customer service was deplorable and the staff was completely unapologetic and did nothing to «make it right.» The staff offered the excuse that the «owners knew the website was a problem.» Apparently the owners do not care enough about their customers to correct the statements on their website.
The staff either did not have the power or the brains to appropriately address the situation. Everyone in the group was forced to pay a cover, which we did not plan for any many people did not have cash.
I ADVISE AGAINST TAKING A GROUP TO NEON WILD OR HOSTING A PARTY AT NEON WILD. I WOULD NOT GO BACK TO THIS CLUB IN THE FUTURE.

If it was possible for a zero star review I’d give it. A dance club that wants no hip hop culture. Sounds oxymoronic right. I’am far from Jay Z but I did wear a new era cap into the club, guess where I ended up… that’s right, back home. No flat bills no bandanas (unless your a chick apparently) no shorts or baggy clothes, no tank tops. So basically if you feel like getting your dance on show up in basic white northlander attire. Don’t worry a Cesar haircut and some Buckle jeans and an American Eagle button up will get you in no problem. Clearly ladies those guys always have the best moves on a dance floor so get in line. If your worried about gangs or rif raf invest in a few hand wands and a couple bouncers or how about dont open a dance club called Neon Wild. Don’t waste your time with this dump.

Make sure to read my whole review, this isn’t usually my type of place to go, so I’ll be as unbiased as possible.
There is a ton of room here, it was 90s night so the live dj was playing all 90s dance music. There are small stages open for anyone to dance on, the dance floor was pretty packed, the crowd is a little older and likes to have a good time.
Drink prices were right and the atmosphere was filled with fun. Everyone was having a good time.
If you enjoy places like Westport and Power and Light, you probably wont enjoy this place unless you bring your own friends. The clientele reminds me of a cross between a dive bar in the country that has been picked up and moved into the city.

Loud, good music! This night was mostly 80s (all the best dance music), with some 60s, 70s, and a song or two from the 90s thrown on. Lots of people were having a great time. Quite a few tables; probably more standing/​sitting space than dance floor, but that wasn’t a problem last night. It was a flashback to my younger days, but there were people there of all ages, from 20s to 70s, and all were having a good time. Some people were dressed up, some were dressed down (way down) but no one seemed to care. :)
It was about a 85% Caucasian crowd, but everyone was getting along. The club is nonsmoking. Bartenders were nice. I didn’t drink this night, but lots of people were, and it seemed like most were drinking beer buckets. There was a $ 3 cover charge. Everyone was having fun!
If you like loud fun dance music, whether you dance or just watch, this place will work for you. Parking was crowded, but it’s spread out over three or four nearby bars. I didn’t see any problems, and it’s just off the main street of North Kansas City. I still had a friend walk me to the car.
