Expensive lessons. Classes are ok for kids, as long as you don’t get sucked into buying all those weapons. They make you sign a contract. The initial contract is 6 months, the others are usually 36 months long! The only way out of the contract and paying them is due to death or disability. If you move more than 25 miles away from an ATA, they will charge you a $ 100 cancellation fee. They also push the purchase of expensive equipment, which is mandatory for Camo belt and up. My kids never once used that equipment. They also push tournaments where everyone gets a trophy… for $ 75. They«test» the kids every 2 months and if you pay them $ 60, they’ll move your kid up to a higher level belt, even if their progress is stagnant. My personal opinion is if the product or service is good, then you wouldn’t need a contract to trap consumers into paying for it long term. I also feel this business has not friendly to military personnel, based on my terrible experience.
