I mainly come here for breakfast. I love the staff, super friendly and efficient. The two gentleman the help with the drinks and tables are also very helpful and friendly. It’s an all around comfy place to grab some breakfast. The food is just alright. The French toast used to be amazing like 5 – 6 years ago, now it isn’t that amazing. It’s alright for ordering some eggs and a bagel. They should really spend some money and clean the place up though, it’s getting dirtier and dirtier. At least they finally fixed the bathroom. Also last time I was in there a customer brought a dog in and let it eat dog food out of a bowl while they ate. While I understand restaurants are getting screwed over with the«service dog» scam, I think they should tell people their service dogs can eat outside and not in the restaurant. It’s nasty. The dog isn’t their fault, they are forced to accept that, but letting it eat inside isn’t a right of a service dog.(also this dog was a tiny one, so not sure what exactly its function was service wise)

Great New York style deli. Need I say more? Well, yes, of course I do and I shall. Big apple deli is a strip mall looking store front from the outside, and anything but when you go inside. The look and feel of the place so looks of art and memorabilia is awesome as it keeps you lurking around and more and more curious. Even if never having been to NY, you’ll appreciate the flare and fun this place has. As for the food, it is great. My go to when trying a new deli is now always their nova lox, a bagel with all the fixings, and a cup of matzo ball soup. Should they pass this«test», if you will, I’ll go to eggs and such. The nova and bagel was excellent and the portion to price ratio was great. The soup and matzo ball was equally as nice, with a nice consistency and flavorful broth. With a great location to our new home and ample parking even during peak weekend times, I am an instant fan of big apple deli. Give them a try, well worth it.

Dirty and disgusting. Ice kept in open container in the middle of the front room, dirty rags kept in bus boys’ back pockets used to clean tables, dirt and dust everywhere(fans, windows, frames, floor, etc.). Not to mention, I’m pretty sure blocking a fire exit with hurricane shutters is dangerous, if not illegal. Food was average, service was horrible. But, who wants to eat in filth?

Went because I read some reviews on here. I can say that if you would like to come for great food you will leave very happy. Do not expect excellent customer service or a gourmet experience. Expect excellent food and large portions. Just come in, sit down, and enjoy a one of a kind treat in miami.

Always a solid experience here either for breakfast or the pastrami! Decent sized place. Parking can get a little busy at times. True to the name lots of other New York delicacies. Konish, matzo, and salmon options. They do close a little early at times. Make sure to check.

New York big apple deli is consistent and has great service. They always have matzoh ball soup which is essential if you’re ever sick, and their pickles are great too. There’s plenty of seating and it’s a popular lunch spot. Come here for sandwiches, fish, different prepared deli salads, and more. It’s a charming spot reminiscent of a New York deli and has all the artwork to portray that. It’s located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. It’s the kind of place you’d want to bring your Jewish grandmother too. Enjoy!

Wow! I’m glad me and my hubby came here instead of green egg aVentura. This is a hidden gem real New York. Diner even has thick accent New Yorkers the owners there cutting up old cuts. Have the pastrami Ruben so good and big! The eggs turkey spinach was yum ! I love their home fries was tempted to get an additional order. Clean place inside don’t mind the shafts looking building outside. Across the street from Costco and target in north Miami beach. We even bought pastrami a pound of it to go. Our check was reasonable $ 45 ish

Place is right next to my apartments. I love coming here because everyone is so nice. The sandwiches are $ 10 – 12 but worth it because they are huge! Did I mention everyone is really nice :)

Great find on Unilocal!Definitely a real NYC deli, with great menu selection. Try the Reubens, you cant go wrong. Service was good at first with a nice greet and quick drink service. But the place filled up fast for lunch and it slowed down the service. Overall a good find, and would return again.

This was my 2nd time here and 1st experience and different from this visit. We went here for lunch and though it wasn’t busy at all, we waited 5 mins at the table, Just to get a menu. No one came by and I decided to go up to the front area to get it myself, which was upsetting. Then we waited another 10+ mins to order. I understand that there was only 1 waitress but all I ask is to acknowledge we are there and at least tell us you’ll be right with us or something. It’s all about that customer service! Once we ordered, our food came out pretty fast and didn’t have to wait too too long. Once I had that 1st bite… we knew why we were there in the first place! I had the Philly cheesesteak and home fries, the meat was fresh and thinly sliced and cooked to perfection. My husband had the combo Reuben, which he loved! The grilled rye made it taste so good! The slices of corned beef & pastrami was very thin and they pack that sandwich to the fullest! We even had to take it to-go. We would definitely come back for the food but they need to work on the customer service & maybe hire another waitress.

The NY Big Apple Deli is the perfect place to get a sandwich or philly. The ruben sandwich is by far the best ruben I have ever had. Ever. Along with the sandwich comes either coleslaw or potato salad. The philly cheesesteak is also a plate that taste delicious. I love trying Philly cheesesteaks where ever I go and this one is definitely at the top of the list. The place itself is a small restaurant with the deli feeling. It can get packed, especially during lunch hours. Depending on your server the service can be really good or mediocre. But, the food makes up for it… Really.

1st review is for Breakfast only as I have heard the lunch sandwiches are very good. Stopped in completely at random heading down to the Post office in North Miami today. Sit anywhere was their motto. so selected a table in the annex room. Place is old style Jewish Deli with old photos of sports stadiums adorning the walls. Place needs a serious makeover as the décor and furniture, floors and ceilings have seen better days. Took a while to get coffee which was hot and OK I like it a bit stronger… Special today was the«FRESH» not canned corned beef Hash with 2 eggs, potatoes & Choice of Bagel or Toast.. Ordered eggs Soft scrambled they were hard & Dry. Toast was Ice Cold and corn beef hash for $ 10.99 was lacking everything.. Potatoes were burnt. Sorry folks but based on the first experience, I have a tough time heading back here for a try at lunch. Waitress was Missing in Action trying to get a check.

I popped in to NY Big Apple Deli completely randomly. My car was having new tires installed and I needed a bite, and there she was in an unassuming strip mall across the street. I ordered an everything bagel with eggs and cheddar cheese with a side of home fries and a coffee. Simple, but delicious — particularly the home fries. And there’s just something special about a real egg & cheese sammich. My egg was cooked through and I wish I’d asked for it to be runny, but that’s my bad. Ahhhh, the magic of golden, runny yummy egg, coating its surroundings. It’s an unparalleled kind of delicious. The coffee was piping hot and fresh and the cream was served out of the fridge, which I appreciate. There’s something creepy about a dairy product sitting out all day. The food was good and the price was certainly right, but what really stood out about Big Apple was the friendly staff and amazingly happy feeling from them and the clientele. It really felt like we were all dining together. So cool! Shout out to Michael behind the counter and a really lovely busser who passed out blow-pops to the customers. Bottom Line: destination deli due to its family atmosphere, great prices and yummy food.
