Despite the giant sign a top this establishment boasting ‘BREAKFAST’ this building is neither open at breakfast time(11AM) no serves breakfast food. Huge disappointment.

I was very surprised when I ordered I bacon cheeseburger. It was one of the best I have ever had. The fries were great too. And the service was excellent. I will defently go back next year.

Great restaurant! We walked in and chose a table and were waited on shortly after. Our hostess was very friendly. They also have a great variety of food items on the menu. This place is great for kids. It is also a nice place for groups. The food is exquisite and the prices are low for a restaurant right on the beach.

Awesome little spot on Ocean Drive in Myrtle Beach. I had a burger with bacon cheese and jalapeño peppers. To my surprise they served adult beverages. So I had a rum and coke. The staff was friendly and attentive. I will be taking my kids there before I leave!

Ate here on a very hot late June evening after almost 12 hours on the beach. I’m pretty easy to please. Everything was fantastic! The wife and I shared the fried pickles. As good as I’ve ever had. I had their ¼ pound hot dog. It was on a Kaiser bun. Mustard, onions, and slaw. Gourmet stuff here. The wife had the Blackened chicken quesadilla. INCREDIBLE.(I had one.) Great spot to eat when you’re in OD!

It was awesome! Great service, great food. And it’s right by the beach. Been there forever, I think. The wake-me-up burger(or whatever it was called) with bacon, egg(sunny side up) and a half-pound pure greatness beef patty was amazing. I highly recommend it. It’s not the easiest place to find. Especially with the road-work right in front of it towards inland. But the place is right next to Ocean Drive Pavilion Arcade and the beach shop so it’s hard to miss if you look for those all together. Best part is that it’s right next to the beach entrance. Really convenient. Oh, no, strike that. The best part is the half-pounders! Even my wife, who’s not a big meat fan, loved it. Pure bliss, baby.

Could be so much better with competent service. Good old American diner food in a clean setting. Service was mediocre at best. It was fast and attentive but we were only the 3rd occupied table and we had two mistakes with our order out of four people.

Slow service, dirty tables, waitress couldn’t understand what we wanted. Once we got our food it wasn’t bad. nothing to write home about, but standard fair food.

Horrible service, such a shame… I’d been here before and everything went smoothly and the food was so good, this time however… It started out bad, having to ask for menus after waiting about 10 minutes to be greeted, waiting 15 minutes or so for our waters… Then we waited over an hour for breakfast food, watched other tables come and go, get their food and drinks, but we were told the computers were down and they were unable to get our order in… That doesn’t even make sense? Food finally came out, looked terrible, and the portions were a joke. Asked about/spoke to management and didn’t even get an apology, just got some surly explanations that the computers were down and to basically just get over it. UPDATE: food came out with an omelette not being cooked through, when we asked about it/brought it to their attention(cringing the whole time because of what a mess everything else had been) they tried correcting us, saying it was cheese. From there it was difficult to be nice any longer, and we addressed their inability to admit their wrong/apologize. Finally a weak apology came, with a guilt trip from the manager who then said she was going to pay for the meal out of her pocket. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. WILLNEVERGOBACK. WILLNEVERTELLSOMEONETOGOHERE!!!

Never again. Took wife and kids after walking around ocean blvd. got excited when I seen that their Philly cheesesteak was listed as being topped with cheese wiz. «The way I eat them in Philly». When it was delivered it was covered in provolone. When I questioned it they said they didn’t think I’d like it prepared the way it’s «listed on the menu». Wife and kids $ 72 to have them modify my food without my knowing… NEVERAGAIN.

Hot Diggity Awful in Every Way Went for breakfast with the highest of hopes and had the most horrible experience ever! Pros: * Kids pancakes were good. Cons * Service — atrocious. Our server, though incredibly polite, was largely absent, and when he was present, was absent minded, forgetting things, but mostly, just taking forever. Took 15 – 20 minutes just to ask what we wanted to drink, then another 20+ to get the drinks and take our order. After placing our order, it took — no kidding — 60 minutes more just to get our breakfast. * Food — worse. Grits literally swimming in butter, must be a 1-to-1 ratio, or worse. My shrimp and grits, OMG, I can’t believe they served it. First thing I noticed was a half inch layer of cheese over the top, and having remembered my request for light on the cheese, the server remarked when setting the plate down that they did in fact go light on the cheese, get this… by not putting on the bottom layer underneath the meal. Holy crud, I can’t imagine yet more than the pound they already globbed on top! Then, to make matters worse, you know that stuff you scrape off a grill with the spatula toward the back of the grill when cleaning it, the stuff that collects in that bottom tray? Well, it was literally in my meal, no kidding! I swear, I took a bite and can tell you that it must have been weeks old, as though they scraped it from underneath, off the floor, and put it in there. My wife’s and her friend had the very same thing. Oh, and the maple syrup they sat on our table in a little plastic ramekin, congealed — none of us had ever seen maple syrup actually congeal before… yuck! * Cleanliness — awful. The floor, the counters, the back kitchen, dirty, dirty, dirty, disgusting greasy spoon we’re all surprised the health department allows to stay open. So it was that after the better part of 2 hours, we left, both angry and hungry, a double-whammy by any standards. Well, at least the kids finally got theirs and were fine.

Standard diner food, but as another reviewer mentioned, the challenge is a lot of fun if you’re visiting with a group! Service is friendly too. What isn’t really advertised is that the challenge actually costs $ 20(whether or not you complete it), and the prize is a $ 10 gift card to the joint. Given the huge amount of food(5 lbs) that you receive in the challenge, which includes a few thick burger patties and grilled cheese sandwiches(I forget exactly how many), $ 20 is actually a really good value if you consider that it could feed 2 – 3 people. My bf and I both ordered fried fish and shrimp. The shrimp was delicious and tasted fresh, but I couldn’t bring myself to finish the fish. It was extremely fishy tasting, although my bf sampled some and thought it tasted fine, so I attribute that to different tastes. The biscuit was somewhat dry and probably not made from scratch. We paid ~$ 13 – 14(not including the tip yet) for each, which I felt was sort of overpriced given the quality. IMO other places nearby, such as Golden Griddles, are tastier and cheaper. But if you’re with a large group, Hot Diggity Diner’s challenge can be fun and make the visit worth it.

Good service, accommodating, BUT Expensive diner food– a family of six totaled $ 80.00! Kids meals are pricey, and hush puppies taste Blah! Nasty! Ordered the buffalo chicken finger dinner and while the chicken was hand-dipped and good, only three of the ‘fingers’ had chicken– the last one was all breading. We will be back to MB and we will not return to Hot Digity Diner!

It is what it is… NODIGGITY, NODOUBT? We stay right down the street from here, we were lazy, we went out. The next day, we cooked. That is all I have to say. Dry Eggs, over cooked Eggs, DONOT get the Country Fried Steak… it;s ground beef deep fried!!! Come’ on man! Great old school vibe, with retro pics hangin from back in the day when this place was probably Bomb as hell. Just seems like the cook for the day had no love for our groups food. So for this NODIGGITY, NODOUBT! We won’t be back… up the highway we travel for the next breakfast adventure. JEDIDISAPPROVES — DONOT order Country Fried Steak — Grits were dry — Don’t be thirsty, you’ll be hanging.

I am basing my review on the dinner. I came here with a few friends we ordered some simple stuff. Quesadillas, burgers, and poboys. Nothing special, however, I was wowed by how nice the service was. Portion sizes here are huge and you will be full. Don’t expect to be wowed by the flavor, but do expect to just soak in the beach and appreciate the definite old school feel of the diner. The staff and service here is fantastic. They are constantly checking up on you and they are really nice and friendly. I loved my dining experience here and I would recommend it for some late night grub(or all day meals for that matter). What made this experience awesome however was the fact that someone in party attempted to do the food challenge here. Essentially imagine having to eat 5 grilled cheese sandwiches and 3 meat patties along with a pound of fries. A tall task indeed. They made it a hilariously good time and were genuinely cheering my friend on. He was close, but ultimately failed, however, I did get to meet the manager and a lot of the staff due to it. Come here for a great time. These guys know how to provide a good solid meal.

Was within walking distance of our hotel, so we gave it a shot. Not bad, but not great either. The food was good, but you better get the pancakes with your breakfast if you are hungry, because the toast option comes as one piece of toast… really, one piece… Our server was a little crazy, but that just adds to the environment. Overal, nice little greasy spoon right on the water!
