This review is for the JCPenney portrait studio, not any other products or services at this store. I had an awful experience and we didn’t even get any pictures taken. I specifically chose the last appointment of the day because she stated that there were no appointments ahead of mine. I knew there was a chance this would change, but the woman I talked to made it sound this would be feasible as I had expressed concerns about my baby cooperating during the photo shoot. We got there almost an hour ahead of time to make sure they had a room for me to change my child in. It took her several minutes before she realized I was standing there. She showed us the changing room and I walked around the mall for a bit before returning. At this time, she was busy with another customer, which was fine because I needed time to prepare. I was done before my appointment time and when my appointment time passed, I informed her that we needed to start soon because I was on borrowed time with my child. She minimized the issue(when I had specifically informed her that this would be an issue). Her trainee then tried to help, but she acknowledged that she didn’t know what she was doing. When we finally started the shoot, my child did not cooperate as I had predicted because we started 15 min late. On top of that, I would’ve liked to have a conversation about what types of poses we would do. It was a frustrating and unprofessional experience. I also found the examples of the photography to be lacking in quality from the images shown on the website. So I decided to leave and not waste any more of our time on it. I guess there’s a reason professional photographers are so pricey — you definitely get what you pay for!

I dislike the«New“JCP and the direction they are going in. The buyers«taste» Sucks. I went in for new school uniform pants. They already had clearanced them out. Because children don’t grow and need bigger ones during the year. They have guaranteed I’ll be doing my shopping elsewhere. I used to LOVE shopping there. For the last 22 years it had been my favorite store. No longer. I leave there disappointed more often than not. And ask myself why did I waste my time going in. Thank You JCP! YOU will be making it much easier to pay my credit cards down completely. One more step closer to debt free!
