Mike’s Famous Roast Beef and Pizza

Drove bye mikes a hundred times finally stoped in to get an Italian sub today. Sub was great all cold cuts were fresh. The store was very busy. Will definitely be going back. Next time will call in!

Third time I have tried to order delivery between 830 and 900 PM on a weekday. Don’t even try it. If you won’t deliver up until the time you advertise then they shouldn’t state it on the menus. The food is good enough but no flexibility in delivery. Poor girl that answers the phone catches hell and it’s not her fault. Call Captains Pizza. Local and they get it. They take care of their regulars and anyone else that calls. One star is generous for Sevice. Three to four for food.

My friend at work told me about this place and I was just dying to try it out. Not to expensive either.

I’ve recently had a couple issues. First, no matter how recent my take our menu, I’m always charged more. To the point I think they never issue a menu with current prices. Secondly, they apparently decided to no longer accept Amex midday. I don’t frequently (ever) Oder their food twice in one day, but I did today (late night last night). They accepted Amex for lunch, denied for dinner. Apparently it depends who you talk to? In the past I’ve gotten resistance when orders were wrong, or deliveries extended beyond 90 minutes. I should have moved on earlier. With plenty of options in town, they’ve lost my business.

Great pizza, prices, and service.
The pizza is always hot and fresh, albeit with a bit too much cheese at times. However, they are liberal with their toppings and really know how to cook a pizza.
I’m guessing the ‘sweet sauce’ is unique to this business, as I really haven’t come across it before anywhere else. It is a nice change, though I’ll have to experiment with different toppings to really take advantage of the sweetness the sauce has to offer.

Mikes is right on the money every time. Great service, good value, and delicious food. Nothing too fancy but what they do offer is delicious.
Also, they have a pasta special half price Mon through Wed and its a great value and a lot of food.
Overall, Mikes won’t disappoint.

The last two pizzas I’ve ordered have had burnt caramelized onions which wrecks the entire pizza.
Our last order of pasta was supposed to come with garlic bread but instead came with a baked bread roll, no garlic or butter on it.
Seems like nobody checks to make sure the orders are correct going out the door. Now I have to think twice about ordering any food from here.

This place is legit… Mike is the brother of the owner of Giovanni’s on Lake Street in Peabody, basically the same restaurant, but better. The employees are great and never have had a problem with the food. We either eat or get delivery at least once a week from Mikes. Must give them a chance! Highly recommend.

The place looks cool inside but the food is eh. If your craving a burrito don’t get it here it was basically just cheese and rice barely any beans no Mexican flare to it at all, I actually threw it out. Pizza was greasy and not that good so I typically get mine from other locations now. I got a roast beef sandwich once and the bun was on the soggy side.

I love mikes. Everything I’ve had there is great, from the apps to the pizza to subs to calzones to salads. All are amazing! The only complaint I have is their buffalo sauce, it’s not good at all, it’s quite peppery and not buffalo-​ish at all. It’s the only not good thing I’ve tried on the menu this far. Regardless, it’s still my first choose for everything else.

This is what i got when i opened the box, after buying slices. Absolutely disgusting. I debated whether to throw in a regular trash receptacle or to call in a haz/​mat team. After i called the store and expressed my displeasure, in a firm but polite manner, there was a long silent pause, then a hang up. No class, as well as no taste.

Great food ! Great pizza and great wings… My only complaint is the delivery has screwed up a couple times with long delay’s. The drivers both times stated that they had large catering orders and where behind schedule. If I knew this I would have picked my orders up. just an observation otherwise good food !

No A/​C in 96 degree heat!!! Never heard of that in a eating place. Ordered a seafood salad sandwich. Guy taking my order had no personality whatsoever. Then the worker went out the door shoving the handle which made both of us jump was kind of rude.
20 mins later still no sub. Went up to counter and asked if it was almost ready. Guy taking order looked like he had no idea what I was talking about. He then asked another worker there n she pulled out a sub roll n started making it just then. Lol I would have been sitting there all day. Before I even started eating I became sick feeling bc no A/​C so ended up eating in my car. Pretty unpleasant experience.
Seafood Salad was very good hence y I have 3 stars instead of 1. Prob won’t be back unless just doing takeout.

I can only write on the take-​out, but what I got was great! Very awesome steak tips and salad and bread. I’ll order here again when I’m in the area.

Love this place. Finally. Good pizza place in North Reading. The pizza is good, toppings nice, we have never been disappointed! Staff is friendly and efficient!

We’ve been looking for a good sub shop for years now. Tried places from Andover to Wilmington to North Reading. Well this place is the best! The subs are chock full, lots of meat, lots of veggies. Great bread. My only complaint is the tomatoes need to be cut smaller, but I can live with that. We ordered a medium french fry this time, the fries rival McDonald’s, and a medium would feed 4 people easily. Steak is cheese is fantastic. Going to try the roast beef next time, looks good, we’ve seen it being served. There isn’t a better sub shop around for miles. Mike’s is open 7 days a week.
